This was such a fun experience! Obviously, with something like this, you have to sign a waiver before getting started. The guy at the front desk was really nice and patient with me while I was busy taking pictures instead of signing my waiver . They provided us with jumpsuits, masks, and gloves before we went in. The smashing area was a lot smaller than I expected. I thought it would be an actual room, but it was more like an enclosed area surrounded by wooden walls with a tarp over us to help keep all the debris and glass contained. Before we started, the guy explained everything, went over our options, and made sure we knew what we were doing. We had about 20 minutes to let loose and smash everything in sight! We smashed glass bottles, coffee cups and even a windshield. They also gave us different things to smash everything with, and we even got to use a paint gun. My girl and I had a lot of laughs doing this. It was definitely something different for a date, and I'm glad she planned it for us. Sometimes it just feels good to break some stuff! One piece of advice: WEAR OLD SHOES! Wear something you don't care about or wouldn't mind throwing away. By the time you're finished, you've been walking around on a lot of broken glass and debris. I definitely didn't want to track any glass into my car or house, so afterward I put my shoes in a bag. Overall, this was a really fun experience and a great date idea. We had 20 minutes to smash some stuff, laugh together, and make another memory. I would definitely recommend trying a rage room at least once!

You don't need anymore time than 20mins honestly. I recommend coming fully clothed with long sleeves and pants on. If you're planning on going somewhere after, I suggest bringing a change of clothes. You will leave with small shards of glass in your clothing. I also recommend bringing extra clothing because their suits are hot and heavy. & I'm pretty positive they don't clean or spray down any of their protective gear in between customers. I only wore their headgear, and the helmet hasn't even touched my face. I was stunned. I literally said, "Whoa, I can smell the last person that wore this." Yes, you do not smell cleaning solution on their gear or when you walk in. So I imagine their suits aren't being cleaned either. Right after I said that he "reassured" me that they clean the gear. If I ever decide to come back I'll make sure to use my spray I always carry with me. I was so caught up in the moment I didn't think to go grab my disinfectant. Now I'm stuck with a cough.

I had no idea people did this type of activity which is a great idea. Chef Catalina has a beautiful home that she opened up for her cooking class and and is so very welcoming. Not only was she a great teacher she also had great deal of patience. To have strangers come in her home and make a mess in the kitchen. (Not that much mess :). In this cooking class she taught us to how to make Mexican Street Food. We had Al Pastor, made tortilla's, churros, and salsa from scratch. We also also made Esquites which I could not have enough of. Not only we got to watch and prep the stuff we also took part in cooking them. It was a lot of fun and I got to meet some great people. And in the end we got to enjoy the meal we prepared and I have to say it was delicious! And now I know how to make a different type of salsa. I recommend this event to anyone who enjoys cooking, eating food, and meeting new people.

She took pictures for us throughout the event and send it to us promptly. The experience was wholesome. We had great laughs, delicious pesto gnocchi, delightful tiramisu and genuine conversations. I recently attended a cooking class with my work team, and it was so much fun. Pans on Fire is a…read morekitchenware store, with a room on the side for cooking classes. The store itself is really cute, with useful gadgets and cute towels and knick-knacks. I was part of a group of 12 for the Express Spanish class. There are many different cuisines to choose from, and different durations (e.g., express-1.5 hours, standard-2.5 hours, ultimate-3.5 hours). What made this class run so smoothly is all the prep work that was done ahead of time. Each member had their own apron with their name on it. The cutting boards, ingredients, and tools were laid out around the kitchen. Bruce, the owner/instructor, first gave us demos on knife technique, garlic crushing, and juicing with a fluicher (flat-juicer). Many of these tools are available at their store. Then we worked on different parts of the menu in teams of three. Some of us cut tomatoes, while other crushed garlic. As far as actual cooking on the stove, only 2 members were hands on. After cooking, we sat down at their dining table and ate our meal together. Menu: Gazpacho, Garlic shrimp, Pan con Tomate, Manchego y Chorizo Tostada. Everything tasted good, but my favorite was the garlic shrimp. Hygiene was very important throughout. Longer hair had to be tied, and once we washed our hands, we were no longer allowed to touch our phones. However, Bruce did a great job of taking plenty of pictures for us. Overall, a very fun way to socialize while making something together. I highly recommend this for a team building experience.
