I am revising a review I wrote a week ago after visiting this restaurant with my family. We were fairly disappointed. This place had so much potential. The menu names are fun, the food is decent (though not amazing), the atmosphere works. A member of our party has some new food allergies and when we asked if a specific ingredient was used in a couple of menu items we were told that they had no idea and couldn't be sure, so just don't order anything that might contain that (which was 90% of their menu). They were "too busy" in the kitchen to look up the ingredient information. We pressed them and asked to speak to the manager and the owner came out. She said "I don't claim to have an allergy free kitchen." We eat out a lot and are very accommodating. We told her we didn't expect an allergy free kitchen (there's no such thing) but just wanted to know if a specific ingredient was used in 2 menu items that we had ordered to share. She produced a label for 1 of the food items and seemed very annoyed when we pushed to find out about the other item. She finally produced a label for the 2nd menu item. We love to support local businesses and this place appears very popular with the locals. I hope the owner was simply having a bad day. I realize she had to take time out of a busy night to find allergy information for only 1 guest, which I appreciate. We just didn't have a great experience here. read more

I placed a to-go order for one of the small pizzas, bruschetta and they were offering a special on the cannoli, so I decided to give them a try. My order was ready on time and I know better than to order bruschetta to go, it gets soft. I am assuming this is the reason for the lack of crispness at any rate. Flavor was nice. Nothing earth shattering, but decent. The pizza was pretty good. I ordered the Yankee which had generous toppings and a tasty crust. It is on the thicker side, but nice texture and flavor. Now for the cannoli.. Once I removed the giant dose of chocolate chips from each end, they were really nice. Shaved chocolate or mini chips if the chef felt then necessary.. but the nestle toll-house style plus a zig zag of chocolate syrup overpowered the nice flavor of the ricotta filling. I'll ask for it without next time. The shell had a lovely crunch to it and was not overly tough. Now for my word of advice. If you get your order to go, they don't have "to-go" cups.. something to do with the liquor license. Not a huge deal, but kind of irksome. I'll order from Pahgre's again to check out the more traditional pies. read more

Warm restaurant but AC quickly kicked in when we requested it. We ordered the cheese pizza. It was ooey gooey good and had a lovely light crust. Service was prompt, pleasant and helpful. Loved the photography work on the walls! read more

High end prices for ok food. Who puts big chunks of vegetables on top of pizza? These are like 1/2" to 3/4" chunks. Most places slice their vegetables as it makes for a much tastier pizza and I really don't know how they slice their pepperoni so thin. It is truly an amazing pizza for $24.00 Ouch! read more

Chicken Parm was very good but I have to say the strawberry shortcake stole the show. It was served warm with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Perfect ending after a great meal. I'm sure I'll be back for another visit. I left very full...should have saved some for later. read more

Excellent! Very fresh salads, delicious pizza (many different choices, including build your own pizza/calzone) and a very friendly waiter! Several outdoor tables, and we were able to have our dog along with us outside. read more

We stopped in Montrose while on a road trip for a quick lunch. We decided to give Pahgre's a try, and it was delicious. My brother and I got the galloping goose panini, and we loved it. We also got some sausage rolls that were delicious. read more

Three stars, but only because the front of house staff was great. The food... gross. Gluten free pizzas were undercooked and everything was super bland. No interesting menu items, we felt like we were at pizza hut. We had the "Lizard Head Luau" and "Precipice Peak Pesto" but left with almost two full pizzas. The only thing more surprising than how many great reviews this place has (for such a small town) is how packed the applebee's was next door. I think everyone in the town was there, which indicates that people here must actually LIKE that kind of thing. read more

PAHGRES IS AMAZING!! THE TOP NOTCH BEAUTIFUL CALZONES AND PIZZA .I CANT LEAVE OUT THE SALADS!!! CAME IN ON Friday night we were seated right away,,even at 50% capacity. The staff were all wearing masks, washing their hands and keeping a safe distance. Between tables there were cleaning from top to bottom. Made our party feel safe. The service WAS beyond Excellent Kelly our server guided us thru our intire experience. She suggested wines and cocktails from the bar, we each had two!! Definitely going back as often as I can!! Outstanding food and service! We had the breadsticks to start, a generous order with loads of cheese and flavor. My husband had the lasagna and I had the antipasto salad, both orders were outstanding. If I lived on Montrose, this would be my favorite restaurant. Terrible service. Loud. We never saw a server come to our table. We left without ever seeing a server. I would never go here. Unless you have a bunch if screaming kids that you want to have hang out with other screaming kids while the servers disappear and pizzas sit under a warmer waiting to be taken to tables. read more

This was in June of 2013. As we were passing thru Montrose, the craving for pizza was too great. Checked Yelp. This place is awesome. Antipasti salad was one of the best I've ever had. Had to follow with a appetizer of It.sausage n peppers wrapped in dough. Large but a bit doughy. Pizza...sausage and black olives. Wonderful. Wish this place was in Arizona. They do only have small or large size pizza. Not ex lg. but the pieces are huge. So glad I found this place. read more

My husband and I have become "regulars" at Pahgre's. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. We love the "build your own Calzone" and all of the specialty pizza's. The house salad is delicious. The atmosphere is casual and the staff is friendly. We often find the owner visiting customers and asking how everything is. read more

It's OK. Pretty good place for how small Montrose is. Pizza is one of the better/best in Montrose sadly.

This is a lovely, upscale pizza/italian restaurant, named after the nearby Uncompahgre plateau. It's bar is called Dirty Water which is one translation of "uncompaghgre". We were there on a very busy Sunday night. We ordered breadsticks, spaghetti, and pizza. The breadsticks and pizza were outstanding. I recently took my food allergic daughter along with 4 of her friends there to eat. We are fairly limited with a tree nut and dairy allergy. She loves pizza without cheese but the chance of cross contamination is huge. She is often mortified to eat out. After a discussion with the waitress regarding changing gloves, using clean pans, foil, and cross check sauces she was confident they could accommodate us. The owner came to our table to personally speak with my daughter, and reassured her that she would make her meal. My daughter had a pizza out without issue! It's huge for us! For our experience this rating would otherwise be generous but they cut us some slack on the bill. Pizza was nothing exceptional, with one vote for bad. Service was average after a snafu (hence the slack). No reason to seek out, but no reason to avoid. read more

Ordered a draft beer and the Pahgre's lasagne. Beer was prompt and a good temperature. Lasagne was a meat lasagne with a tomato-y, almost tart sauce. I enjoyed it very much but for those looking for a very cheesy/heavy lasagne you may not like this. My family ordered pizza. It was a white pizza. The crust is chewy and fluffy. I prefer more Chicago-style crusts (buttery, thick) but did not object to it overall and enjoyed a piece myself. Service was slightly surly but things came out promptly and no excessive waits so after a beer, all was well :-) I will go back. read more

One of the best Antipasto salads I have ever had, husband and I shared it! Husband had the Uncompahgre Calzone I ordered the large Sunshine Peak Pizza because I wanted to take some home for the next day, both were excellent and very delicious, service was great and very friendly!
