Lovely place with some truly banging grub!! There wasn't a hostess at the front desk and nobody greeted us for over 5 minutes or to say someone is coming over. Not a good start. Finally a young girl seated our party of 4 in the back near the pickup counter. Please. Somebody trim the annoying plants which hover over those seats. Our server Heather was a breath of fresh air and someone who radiated knowledge and enthusiasm. A truly delightful woman who was quick with our orders and knew her menu. Me and my husband split the Popeye's Passion salad between us and it was INCREDIBLE!! The homemade honey mustard dressing blew my socks off!! Well, I was wearing sandals anyway. LOL! Fresh ingredients masterfully combined for something simple as that salad was a good indication of our pizza soon following. Yes, it was equally delicious. Lovely family-friendly modern Italian restaurant, a Montrose classic! The relatively new owners have done a lovely job. I have very fond memories coming here growing up it's my go-to Montrose Italian spot. We went at 7:30 on a Thursday night. Normal night. They were low on utensils unfortunately, but we asked and got our forks sorted. Pizza is mediocre. I got a pepperoni, fills you up, that's for sure. Unfortunately, it's usually undercooked, so I'd recommend asking for it well done. 3.2/10 Fettuccini ( recommend ) Creamy noodles seem authentic and LOVE THE BREAD. 6/10 Lasagna was creamy and rich, though the meat could be seasoned more--I think it's some sort of sausage but good quality overall. Have driven by this place many times and decided to finally give it a try. The place is nicely decorated with photos from places in the area. A lot of the menu items are based off of names in the area as well. We started with the Backcountry Branches which were really good. The crust was great with the right amount of cheese and a nice touch of spices on top. The Mesa Verde salad was good but honestly nothing special, I was not a fan of the dressing it came with. The chicken parm was the same. We would like to go back and try the pizza at some point. read more

I think my expectations were too high. My Mesa Verde salad wasn't memorable. When I saw the shredded cheese on top, I could tell it was pre-shredded, packaged cheese with the powdery stabalizer to prevent it from clumping. A salad without freshly shredded cheese might as well be off the menu. Greens, onion, and avocado were good, obviously wish there was much more avocado. Can't say the green chilies added anything to the salad, they tasted alright, they were just too mild. The cherry tomatoes weren't fantastic, hard, and not flavorful. And the honey chili vinaigrette was a hard pass for me - I didn't care for the taste, I asked for Ranch instead. Several at our table had one of the Panini options. These were more like sandwiches on focaccia minus the warmed, toasted look and feel from the press. The sammies were enjoyed, but it was noted all would have liked the sandwich warm and toasty. I had a bloody Mary. It wasn't anything to write home about. Certainly not my kind of Bloody - no salted rim, or any fancy garnish except a couple floating olives and a celery stick that was too short to stick out of the glass. I'd pass on this next time. The Mountain Mushroom Ravioli was divine. I had a house salad with honey chili vinaigrette and hubby got the Caesar. I loved mine. He didn't. The bread was fresh, hot, and crispy. The service was great and the ambiance nice. We would go again if we are in town just to try the Purgatory Pesto Pasta to see if it's as good as the ravioli. Went in for a quick stop, got the fettuccini Alfredo (added grilled chicken) and a order of the Black Canyon Mud Pie. It was quick and courteous service. Our waitress was very nice and quick to help. Fettuccini was great but the mud pie is the main reason for this review.. it was delightful. Great food, staff, and environment. We usually get the stromboli to-go but when we have dined in as well and the service has been consistently good. Montrose is not very big but I am excited to see that there are some good restaurants and this is one is one of them. Recently, we (party of 4) dined in and I tried one of their chicken parmesan for the first time and it was pretty good. Chicken was cooked nicely and the pasta was also cooked correctly. For me, this is the month of Ramadan. Which means I am fasting from sunrise to sunset. Which also means, I really look forward to the meal (since it's my only meal) I will be having. I decided to open my fast today with Pahgres. I came and placed an order to go. The customer service was amazing! They were pleasant, they were accommodating, and knowledgeable! They seemed to enjoy what they do and it showed. Not just the lady that helped me, but also other people were just as welcoming! It put a smile to my face seeing their smiles! Now for the food! The Purgatory pasta was yummy! I put a little packet of peppercorn on mine and a little salt. When you eat it with the sun dried tomatoes it is perfect! But in the bites you don't get any, (this is self preference) slightly underseasoned but still very very good. I would highly recommend. I normally like things on the salty side so could be a personal issue lol. The peanut butter jelly pizza! Yes!!! That was the highlight! Like sooooo yummy! The little bit of cheese on top of it takes it to the next level! Soooo good. It's in the kids section lol but you have to get this. You will not regret! The reason I took one star away is because of the cheese sticks (backyard branches or something close to that). Not a huge fan. The other things were soo good that this really did not live up to everything else. The marinara sauce was also toooo salty. I would pass on these. Overall, a must visit. read more
