Within the first 10 minutes, I was more informed than the other 2 floral arrangement workshops I've done! She seriously knows flowers and was so engaging! Loved the whole thing. Aside from the class, the store is so, so cute. I will definitely return for a workshop AND for shopping. Thanks for a great evening!

The flowers they had for use to use were so beautiful and the fragrance we got to choose from where all wonderful. Sarah was a great teacher and made the class so much fun! I would say that the down side is that it is pricey both the store and the classes. However it is nice they offer a 15% discount in the store if you take a class. The flip side of that is the beverages offered are not included in the price of the class. If you're looking for something crafty and beautiful this is your studio.

Met the candle creator Elaina and learned about her interesting story with how she got started. So many lovely scented candles to choose from with adorable vessels that'll go so well with any home decor. My personal favorites are - Dry Gin Botanicals, Grapefruit Ginger and current seasonal Lavender Amyris and Orange Blossoms are amazing too. She will come out with fall scent soon within the next month and I can't wait to see what the new scents are. She does local pick up at her studio or you can always catch her at the Belleview Farmers Market, she also does other pop-up markets too so be on the look out for her "floating shop" (that's what I call the farmers market vendors). The candles burns for a long time and the light, soft scent does stick around for a while after candle burn, I'm still finishing up my first Spero with Dry Gin Botanicals and can't wait to plant some wildflowers in it. Yes, all Concrete Poppy candle products come with a small vial of wildflower seeds so you can use the vessel to plant adorable flowers... if you don't want to do that, you could also plant the seeds in the garden to help the bees. I highly recommend checking out Concrete Poppy Design for all your gifting needs, not only are you bringing quality, natural scent into your home, you're adding a piece of art and on top of that, supporting a local, woman-owned business.

You also receive a drink with your experience. It was a 2 hour experience. The first 10 minutes was waiting for people to settle down. Next 20 was watching the instructor tell us what to do. Then she did it again but this time, going step by step with us following each of her steps. My first one turned out amazing. But then the second and third time around, I forgot the step by step instructions and my pieces had to be thrown out lol. But my fourth time, I asked her to repeat the steps and once I got that down, my fourth, fifth, and sixth pieces were spot on. It took a while to get the hang of it but once I got, it was fun! Same with my partner. We had to stop with 30 minutes left. 15 minutes was for us to clean our stations. The last 15 minutes was to select which of our two pieces we wanted to take home and submit it on their website. I understand it probably sucks to have to clean all of the stations alone but I think we only spent about an hour actually throwing clay- the rest was waiting for people to settle down to start, watching her instruct, cleaning, and selecting our pieces. It took me a while to get the hang of throwing on my own so it would have been nice to actually throw for a little bit longer (even just an extra 15 min) since we paid for 2 full hours. Anyway, I'm looking forward to see how our pieces turn out once they are colored and glazed. The instructor was friendly and smiley.

We did a class as part of a bachelorette party. Two stars because the space is cute, Angie (our…read moreinstructor) was super sweet, knowledgeable, approachable, and all around a great teacher, and the clay was easy on the hands. Some reflections based on my experience: - Through the communications, it was not clear to our party planner that the fee wouldn't actually be $95pp, but $120 once the mandatory tip was included. - It was a surprise to me that a third piece would cost another $15. Maybe this was communicated, but I missed it. - The structure of the evening, which another review lays out, includes about 30 minutes of clean up and paying via app. - The studio wrote our names on the bottom of each piece for us (so don't expect to do a special signature) - The studio glazed the pieces for us through a dip glaze, which in some cases was super uneven (see photos). - They do not provide wrapping or bags to take your pieces home in. - One of our pieces was chipped after firing and this was not communicated upon pick up. Another piece was fired with the rim having a strange divot that is actually kind of sharp.
