I would say that the down side is that it is pricey both the store and the classes. However it is nice they offer a 15% discount in the store if you take a class. The flip side of that is the beverages offered are not included in the price of the class. If you're looking for something crafty and beautiful this is your studio.

I have come here twice, once to just buy a candle and the second time for their full make your own candle event. The make your own candle event involves choosing a vessel, choosing a scent, combining your scent with hot wax, adding wicks, and combining it all together. The whole experience maybe takes 30-45 minutes. Then you leave and come pick it up in 3 hours so the candle can harden. It was super fun and I really enjoyed making and having my candles, but they should change which wicks are used. Both the super narrow with 1 wick, wide with three wicks, and their house-made single wick candle I purchased before don't burn to the edge which wastes a bunch of the lovely wax. Even with an unlimited time first burn all three candles started tunneling and burning down before reaching the edge of the vessel. I have other candles from other companies about the same sizes that burn all the way to the edge without having a hard time but they have different wicks (thicker or wood or otherwise different) than the Paddywax ones. Overall great time for their class and their candles smell lovely but I wouldn't consider their candles the best value if you can't melt much of the wax.

They had a wide variety of candle bases and scents to choose from. Some of the bases could be used for other uses for environmental purposes like a ramen bowl, glass, etc. the classics normally $45 but we happened to book during Black Friday for 35 dollars. I believe the last Friday of the month they will refill your vase/base for $10. This is a cute candle shop even if you're just looking to grab a ready made candle! Check out this candle bar!

Has staying power (stayed on till I showered that night) without being in your face. Normally, strong perfumes make me dizzy - Le Labo perfumes all seem to be soft and light. The Ambrette was subtle and unique and can only be smelled in hug proximity. The Jasmine is a soft sweet and woody scent that can be smelled in sitting-beside-you proximity. I picked one since I'm more of a no perfume and scented hand cream person than a perfume person. Service: Christian was very helpful in his descriptions and suggestions. I was able to decide between two scents after he recommended that I try both - one scent on each wrist, walk around the neighborhood, and come back when I've decided. He even threw in a Jasmine sample after I ended up choosing a small bottle of Ambrette 9. Space: Minimal, organized, open. Price: Expensive but quality is there if you want to enjoy a bit of scented luxury. Refills are discounted by 20%.

In the very back, they have an extended area of art along with a limited but healthy selection of plants - today, I spotted a rare albo type. And of course, lots of Colorado-themed pieces, our favourite! The owner, Lauren, was super friendly and knowledgeable about all the artists she supports in her store, with fun anecdotes about the artists themselves or how pieces were developed. My favourites were block prints by an artist named Jini Kimchi and sculptures made from home-grown cordyceps spores (I forget the artist's name but will add here later). It's awesome that this store makes art so accessible, and what a great go-to for gifts!

So many lovely scented candles to choose from with adorable vessels that'll go so well with any home decor. My personal favorites are - Dry Gin Botanicals, Grapefruit Ginger and current seasonal Lavender Amyris and Orange Blossoms are amazing too. She will come out with fall scent soon within the next month and I can't wait to see what the new scents are. She does local pick up at her studio or you can always catch her at the Belleview Farmers Market, she also does other pop-up markets too so be on the look out for her "floating shop" (that's what I call the farmers market vendors). The candles burns for a long time and the light, soft scent does stick around for a while after candle burn, I'm still finishing up my first Spero with Dry Gin Botanicals and can't wait to plant some wildflowers in it. Yes, all Concrete Poppy candle products come with a small vial of wildflower seeds so you can use the vessel to plant adorable flowers... if you don't want to do that, you could also plant the seeds in the garden to help the bees. You are essentially a displaced traveler with a boarding pass, trying to avoid sitting in an airport terminal for five hours while security employees begin recognizing your face. That is how we ended up at the Denver Milk Market on a Thursday evening. Located in the Dairy Block on Wazee Street, it is a sprawling food hall designed by chef Frank Bonanno. It is a very pleasant sanctuary to kill some time before ascending into the night sky. The beauty of a venue with a dozen or so food counters is that a group of exhausted travelers does not need to achieve any sort of culinary consensus. One person can eat bao buns, another can eat handmade pasta, and a third can get fried chicken while another simply grabs a few drinks without any diplomatic negotiations. While we were wandering, a woman sat at a table with a microphone hosting a game of trivia to what appeared to be an entirely imaginary audience. Not a single person in the room appeared to be participating. It was a fascinating piece of experimental theater focusing on the loneliness of human knowledge. She called out questions about pop culture, agriculture and other various topics into the empty void, completely unbothered by the silence. I respected her commitment to the craft. The alley outside was maybe the finest part of the establishment. The Dairy Block alleyway is paved and lit up overhead. There was also a side room featuring communal seating and free games like skee ball, a shuffleboard table, and foosball. It turns waiting for a late flight into a minor social outing instead of a punishment. My primary critique is aimed not at the food hall itself, but at the city of Denver as a whole. Everything shuts down ridiculously early. The city has built a ecosystem of food halls, alleyways, and bars that is full of potential, yet the municipal clock seems to dictate that all citizens must be safely tucked in by nine o clock. For a traveler trying to enjoy the city after a long day in a convention center or stretch an evening before a red eye flight, this early curfew is an inconvenience. The Denver Milk Market is an attractive and versatile option for the weary traveler or hungry lunch crowd. It may not be a holy site that requires a special trip across town, but if you have some time to burn, a desire for a game of shuffleboard, and a late flight home, it performs its job admirably. Just make sure you get there before the city decides it is bedtime.

There is a carousel ride and a covered beer garden. The prices are good for the food and we enjoyed a Nutella crepe and a ham and cheese crepe. Had a yummy mulled wine in the little yellow mug . Was very nice warm drink for the cold night. I think the market changes locations at times and it was nice in the Tivoli square area. Fun date night or night out with the family.
