After decades of buying most of my outdoor active wear here, including 4 pairs of boots 10+…read morejackets, countless shirts and other items, I'm done with this company. The quality, and the service have gone downhill, they no longer care. I recently purchased a pair of new hiking boots at this store, wore them once then tried to return them 3 days later. Apparently the signs which they have in front of each register that say "IF YOU ARE NOT COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE YOU MAY RETURN IT FOR AN EXCHANGE OR REFUND WITHIN 60 DAYS" doesn't mean what it says. I was told since I used the boots they couldn't take them back. I demanded a refund, and eventually the manager. She told me the return policy clearly says they don't take back used merchandise. I asked "where does it say that" she said "it says it right here", so I paused briefly and read the whole policy. She pointed to the sentence "Purchases of irregular quality or defaced-label items are not eligible for return". It doesn't say anything about used. I explained "that's not what that says. If they didn't want used returns, they would use the word used". Eventually after some fussing she refunded my money. I asked for the 800# to corporate. I called them later, and got some illiterate person who didn't speak colloquial English, and was speaking so quietly I couldn't hear. I hung up and called a second time, got another whispering person. Hung up, called a third time, the third time at least I could hear them, but their 3rd world English was poor, and I'm not 100% sure they escalated my problem to anyone. I got an automated email and no follow up. I am now 100% done with Columbia. Product quality issues repeatedly, warranty refusals, poor customer service, arguments over wording of return policies. Forget it. REI is a much better value.

They tend to huddle together and gossip instead of helping customers. The cashiers are great, and there's security at the entrance, which is a plus. There's free parking in the back, or you can park on the street in front. Overall, I prefer shopping at this location because it's much more relaxed and less chaotic than the Citadel.

The staff is usually well attentive while you're shopping and explains all the current sales. Typically the selections of New Balance sneakers are extensive. Their shoes are very comfortable and offer regular and wide options. The deals here are consistently great. Some weekends 50% off or sometimes they offer buy 1 get 1 one 50% off. Each time we visit I find new stylist sneakers and apparel on display and available for purchase. It gets pretty crowded in here on busy weekends, but it's expected. Overall, this location is a must visit for me since I enjoy New Balance's catalog of selection. There's deals just in time for the holidays. ( ^_^)b
