Consistently fantastic food, dine in and take away are both great options. Plenty of napkins and yummie salsa plus DAILY specials Lovely booths and ATM because they are CASH only. Multiple rooms so it can be full but easy to still have a table conversation. Food is served hot and to order, salsa and tortillas are fresh. I prefer the hot salsa and I promise the green salsa is homemade. Great for groups with dedicated parking lot with multiple exits to Crocker. Street parking also available on both sides of the street. Quick stop if you hungry in traffic on 94 or Metroparkway . Easy lunch stop for St Clair Metropark If you are at the local butcher or liquor store, I recommend calling in an order to Paco before your stop. By the time you get there, your order will be HOT & ready read more

The staff is fantastic, attentive and exceedingly friendly. The food not so much. My wife has been coming here since she was a kid and I don't get it. Food was bland. The moment the salsa hit my tongue I immediately thought spaghetti sauce. Maybe it was better all those years ago, but this is a pass for me. read more

Unfortunately I don't see how they can be open much longer. We ordered the paco bowl, the dip trio, and the chile relleno. They didn't have guacamole. How? They refunded our dip trio, but the queso and salsa tasted from a jar. The paco bowl was bland and didn't appear fresh with a giant glob of beans in the middle. The chile relleno was entirely absent. Instead they gave me some sort of egg dish with tomato sauce on top. The egg was overcooked and rubbery. I couldn't cut it with a fork. Well, all of the food went into the trash. read more

No offense to the lovely ladies who served us because they were actually wonderful. Even the art and decor are great! However, the food was horrible. It tastes like Gordon food service, I ordered the fajita and the chicken and steak were definitely not fresh but frozen from a bag and probably preseasoned. The salsa wasn't salsa, it was some kind of sauce from a can or jar I think. For having a sign that reads Poco's Authentic Mexican Cuisine, it's probably the most inauthentic I've ever had. For the price you pay to eat here just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

I love their bontanas. The servings are generous, prices great, food very tasty. GREAT service by professionals. Clean and very friendly. I've been eating her for over 12 yrs. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS PLACE! read more

Why don't they season their meat or salsa? So bland and disgusting. The tortilla chips sort of tasted like those air popped popcorn chips... weird. We got a large beef and cheese quesadilla, the taco bowl, and a small beef and cheese quesadilla to go. Oh and queso. The size difference between quesadillas was huge. I feel icky after this food. The salsa was crushed tomatoes and red pepper flakes. Although the Pepsi was really bubbly good. I officially will never go back and I live in the neighborhood. Sad. read more

Paco's Of Mt. Clemens - Quesadilla, taco bowl - Mexican Near Me - Mount Clemens, Michigan

My first time visiting inside since the pandemic of 2020 hit. Paco's is currently open Tuesday through Saturday, with dine-in Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. That said, their take-out business continues to be brisk. I always eat in, so other than observing the "to go" orders, I can't comment further on that aspect of the business. Upon walking in the front door, I immediately noticed an improved decor. Splashes of new paint everywhere, updated booths and tabletops, new flooring - they were busy during their downtime. The menu is pretty much the same, with price increases on a few items. I experienced excellent service during my meal. The meal was very much like I remember from a year and a half ago. I continue to be a fan of small business, and especially small restaurants like Paco's. Paco's has been favorite of mine for many years. I recommend! read more

If your looking for 100% non authentic Mexican food go here or Taco Bell couldnt have been more happy to go to Taco Bell instead of here don't list yourself as authentic Mexican food if your texmex at best. honestly won't ever return! read more

Paco's is like stepping back in time...in a good way! Food was spot on and service was excellent. Ambiance, again, was nostalgically stepping back to the 80's for a TexMex meal. Lots of food for the money and includes classic chips and salsa. Great all around. Just don't expect Chipotle! read more

Excellent food and great service! Have never had a bad meal and I have going there for years.

Love this place. I've been going there since the 70's. Best burittos ever. Since I moved out of town I can only go a couple of times a year. Never disappointed. Wish they would ship. read more

I don't feel this place deserves 3 stars. It's actually pretty good. I'm a sucker for the thinner, light fresh salsa which I found very good. I've never dined in and always order carry out. The service for carry out was always excellent. I had a combination plate which was good. The enchilada was super cheesy, yum. The mini burrito sure was small, but it was part of the combination so I don't feel it was a problem. I really liked the beans. My favorite item out of the combination was the taco. Overall I was pleased with the carry out and will go back to try other items for sure. I guess if I had one complaint would be to have them add a small portion of chips with the dinners. You get them for free when dinning in and carry out you have to pay extra for containers which is fine but help us out and add a few chips. read more

Absolutely the worst Mexican food I have ever . The help ignored me for 10 minutes while they were cleaning the glass counter by the register. The charged me $2 for green sauce and didn't even fill up the 4oz container There were only 3 tables in the entire restaurant. I won't ever go back. read more

Fast friendly service been around forever! Excellent chips and salsa I always get the chimichanga.

I'm not exactly sure why they don't have a higher rating because I get the exact same type of service every single time I come in there. I know exactly what to expect. The food is always exactly what I order and on the very rare occasions it's not they fix it right away. Super nice people, family owned and local. I have zero complaints. read more

Great chimi - you get two chimis beans and rice for a reasonable price. Sometimes carry out only - call to check read more

when we lived in Mt Clemens we went to Paco's every Saturday for years and NEVER had bad food or service. when we'd pulled in the drive way if they saw us they'd start our order. we moved to CO 12 years ago but when we go back to MI Paco's is our stop several times and nothing has changed. same great food and service and always clean. even the coffee's good. my husband was recently there and brought me back 2 (frozen) trays of cheese enchiladas. to die for. while there the family all got combo plates and said everything was as good as ever. not sure what 'authentic' mexican food is but Paco's is the best ethnic food we've ever had. if YOU have a problem they will fix it, unless YOU'RE the problem. ENJOY! Jim & Ronell read more

We enjoy Paco's, the food is good. The building and the service are what you should expect from a small neighborhood restaurant. Nothing bad but not some high end Troy kind of a place. The staff is always very friendly. It also doesn't hurt that it is a block away from us (VERY convenient for carry-out). Note: They only take cash so be prepared. read more

This had to be the absolute worst mexica I have ever had. The food was either absolutely tasteless or horrible. Instead of a white quest on the chimichanga it was cheap cheddar. The insides tasted like burnt gruel. Never again will I return. Forwarned - cash only and no liquor license. read more

My favorite Mexican food place. (It's Americanized, which is what I prefer.) Anything with the shredded chicken is delicious. All the standards - chips, salsa, beans, rice are awesome. I have no complaints & wouldn't change a thing. It's kind of a dinky dive type of place, which I don't mind, but if you do just order carry out! Tip - Paco's accepts CASH ONLY. Yes, it's inconvenient. But... it's a small, family business & credit cards charge high fees for their services. That's how they make money in case you never knew (or cared). read more

So good, their burritos are amazing and the nachos are really good too, the service is amazing.

Love me some Pacos I have had the comb plate for years still go back. Best family restaurant in the MC every time I go back I go.

The food and service here is great!! I ordered the chicken enchiladas dinner and it was amazing. Tastes like authentic mexican food. The lady that works there is always so kind and helpful. read more

-Food Poisoning -Cash Only -Intolerant Atmosphere -Subpar Service -Overpriced Americanized Mexican Food -No Free Refills -Conveniently Located The first thing you need to know about Paco's is that they've chosen to forego offering credit/debit services (likely out of the fees charged for having a terminal) in lieu of having an ATM machine with the highest usage fees outside of a strip club. Bring cash. Not only is this place over-priced, they are cash only. They also don't serve alcohol and they charge for refills of soda. Any change to your order is nickel and dimed. We went in optimistic. Our optimism was quickly overshadowed by the loud overhead religious music and interjecting Christian sermons. It didn't seem appropriate, comfortable, or entirely welcoming but we decided to overlook it with the hopes of enjoying some good Mexican close to our home-even if it did have tone-deaf Cinco de Mayo decorations lining the walls. ‍ They also have a "Gringos" section on their menu which seemed weird. (It's a derogatory term for foreigners in parts of Latin America) We are now entirely regretful that we didn't turn around and walk out after seeing a "cash only" sign on the door. My husband had burritos while I had tacos. His supreme burrito dinner has caused him gastrointestinal pain since shortly after we left. Later in the evening, it became clear he has food poisoning. This food was NOT worth it. The ground beef was pretty flavorless. The salsa was literally tomato sauce, salt, onion, garlic powder, and red chili flakes. Our server wasn't friendly. We waited forever and watched her pass our table multiple times. As someone who has served and been a bartender for years, it was pretty crap service. Go to Paco's at your own risk. read more

My mom always recommended this place to me because she grew up in the area. I finally gave it a try and was not disappointed! The waitress was fantastic and so was the food! I got a supreme burrito..next time I feel like eating terribly I will get it deep fried! No shade here people..just the truth! They had Mountain Dew which I love! (So they have pepsi products). If you like broccoli and cheese you NEED to try the broccoli poppers! SO cheesy and SO good! (This is why I couldn't get my burrito deep fried...had to be a little health conscious, right?) Major tip: This place is CASH ONLY! They do have an ATM though but it's better if you know in advance just incase it's broken or something. read more

4 1/2 stars but I'll round up for these guys n gals. I was introduced to Paco's back in the 90's and out of all these years we have NEVER been disappointed by the food of the service , except on Sundays when they are closed n we really wanted some burritos. Currently their hours are a lil bit different due to staffing issues, Closed Sunday and Monday until they can get more help. But still open at 11a. They have always been good people there. Anyone thats read my reviews of restaurants knows I don't pull punches and give the most unbias review I can , it might not be the flashy noisy overwhelming environment ya ever seen but they focus on QUALITY of their menu. I recommend Paco's HIGHLY read more

Stopped in here the other day after not being here since high school so we are talking a good 20 years. It was super busy to the point I had to park on the road due to no parking on the road. After waiting for 20 minutes they brought my carry out of chicken enchiladas and rice and one beef taco. The enchiladas where so good probably the best I've had. I got a double order of rice which was very tasty. My son tried taco and he too said it was great. We will definitely make this one of our new go to spots! read more

I don't know how the food is. Why? Because after we ordered our drinks, we found on the front and back of the menu a note that they accept cash only--not on a large sign at the entrance, not on a noticeable stand where you check-in, not on the menu pages where the dine-in menu is. When we found the note, we decided to pay for our drinks and go elsewhere. The (nice) waitress pointed out that there was an ATM. Like I'm going to pay a service fee for the privilege of eating there when I can get cash back for eating somewhere else. All in all, we paid $5.04 for an iced tea and a hot tea. Later, we'll eat at Pancho & Cisco's where we can use our credit card. read more

We ordered dinner tonight from Paco's. It's been a long time since we ate there but we were pleased & surprised with the food. The portions were generous & tasty. However, there is no delivery at the Crocker location & it is cash only!! I had to go back home to get cash. It's not on their website but is on the take out menu. It was just inconvenient for me to make two trips. We will eat there again & have $$ ready. read more

Best salsa ever!!! I could put it on everything! The pacos original burrito is delicious. All of there food is tasty and authentic!

In the past 3 years or so, Pacos has elevated their prices, inasmuch that its not a great deal to eat there anymore. Before the price hikes, 2 people could eat lunch there for $8. The last time I went with my lunch date (and Ive been getting the same thing for years), the bill came to $20. You also are only allowed 1 refill on your beverage and the last I checked I think a pop was raised $2.75. A side of sour cream is $1 and its a little bitty spoonful. Honestly,as much as Ive been a loyal Pacos fan since ~2001, I'd rather go to El Charro because at least at El Charro you get some mexican-type atmosphere. Onto the food. Its not 'authentic' mexican food. Its American-mexican (tex-mex). Either way, the quality of food is fair, not exceptional in any way. The servers are usually pleasant and the portions are decent. I recommend their enchiladas. I love their chicken quesadilla, but you might be in for a surprise - its not like a quesadilla Ive had anywhere else. Usually quesadillas are a shell filled with cheese (and meat if you so choose) and tomatoes, onions, etc. At Pacos, its just meat and (tons of) cheese, and jalopenos. You do not get a side plate of lettuce/onion/tomatoes, or even sour cream (that costs extra). The atmosphere of the restaurant is what you'd expect for a budget, read: what Pacos used to be, american mexican restaurant. The obligatory red seats, a sombrero hanging up by the register, just in case you forgot Mexicans wear sombreros. Its usually chilly in the restaurant in the wintertime, so keep that in mind. As said by other reviewers, its CASH ONLY but Pacos has recently added an ATM machine inside the restaurant, behind the register wall. I gave Pacos 3 stars because I liked the old Pacos better. The Pacos that was a cheap lunch place to tuck in to with good food. Now with the price hikes, and the almost $3 pop with 1 refill, Ive been exploring different places. read more

This is the best Mexican restaurant i've ever been to!!! The prices are great and the food is absolutely amazing. The staff is so friendly they treat you like family. The food was ok- I've had better but I've also had worse . My issue with this place is being charged for a carry out container . It's only 25 cents per container but i would hope that the restaurant would absorb this cost as the containers do not cost them that much ( i know this because i have a family member who sells these) It's just price gouging and i won't go there again. It's shady and the owners are being cheap read more

The gereatict of so called mexican restaurants. The food is bland, and I mean really bland. The management needs to retire. Cash only, charge extra for everything, you've got to be kidding. Salsa so soupy they should be seving it with crackers. I would and do not recomend this restaurant. We live two blocks from it and gladly travel several miles to get a decent Mexican meal. read more

Picked up the chicken chimichanga plate. The chimi had six small pieces of chicken in it.It was very dry. Very little cheese on the inside, none on the top. Skimpy portions of beans and rice .You must pay extra for sour cream and guacamole. You even get a charge for the carry out container. You must pay cash....or use their ATM with a FIVE dollar charge. We won't be back. read more

I gave Paco's another try recently for the 23rd year in a row. It's still gross. It reminds me of a bunch of pot-heads cooking burrito's from the back-room of a flop-house. Anyone got the munchies? Only Mt. Clemens is capable of such charm. It's a cash only operation. That speaks for itself. Other than that, I have nothing new to add from my previous review completed in 2014. read more
