    Quesadilla, taco bowl
    Alyssa H.

Why don't they season their meat or salsa? So bland and disgusting. The tortilla chips sort of tasted like those air popped popcorn chips... weird. We got a large beef and cheese quesadilla, the taco bowl, and a small beef and cheese quesadilla to go. Oh and queso. The size difference between quesadillas was huge. I feel icky after this food. The salsa was crushed tomatoes and red pepper flakes. Although the Pepsi was really bubbly good. I officially will never go back and I live in the neighborhood. Sad.

Now open for dining in on Thursday Friday and Saturday.

My first time visiting inside since the pandemic of 2020 hit. Paco's is currently open Tuesday through Saturday, with dine-in Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. That said, their take-out business continues to be brisk. I always eat in, so other than observing the "to go" orders, I can't comment further on that aspect of the business. Upon walking in the front door, I immediately noticed an improved decor. Splashes of new paint everywhere, updated booths and tabletops, new flooring - they were busy during their downtime. The menu is pretty much the same, with price increases on a few items. I experienced excellent service during my meal. The meal was very much like I remember from a year and a half ago. I continue to be a fan of small business, and especially small restaurants like Paco's. Paco's has been favorite of mine for many years. I recommend!

Now here we are celebrating another family members Birthday and we were a party of seven tonight (Six of us were from the previous celebration)... stay with me, there's a point I'm going to make. So, we all had very different orders and drinks two months ago and everything was fabulous as it always is and it just so happens that we got the same Waitress tonight that we had before and not only did she remember us, but she also remembered what each one of us ordered. I mean food AND Drinks... down to the Sugar Rim on the Margaritas and the side shots on some other drinks being served! She even remembered that I ordered Lime and Cilantro on the side of my meal and had a preference of Corn Tortillas! COME ON MAN!!! PIA IS AMAZING!!! Juan Miguel's... I don't know what you guys are paying this young woman, but whatever it is... it is not enough! She is phenomenal! Don't get me wrong, we come there for the fantastic food but Pia has made the experience something much more special than we anticipated. She's truly the type of employee that you ALWAYS take care of. She's good for business. We'll see you guys next month. We told her so and we know one thing for certain... SHE WON'T FORGET!

My wife and I started off with some drinks, the blueberry lavender margarita and the mango sunrise. The first thing that came to mind when I tried the former was "Mexican long island." The mango sunrise was delicious, and one of the better margaritas I've had locally. As for the food, we began the meal with complimentary chips and salsa and bowls of chicken tortilla soup. The chips were a bit stale. I order chicken tortilla soup most times it's on a menu, and this one was solid. For our appetizers, we got Miguel's nacho grande and a deep fried flour taco. Of these, I definitely preferred the nachos over the taco. I also preferred the flour chips from the nachos over the regular corn chips. For our entrees, my wife got cheese quesadillas, and I got the trio fajita. The quesadillas were run-of-the-mill. The trio fajita includes chicken, shrimp, and steak, and is quite a hearty dish. For dessert, we got the flan, which was to die for. My 3 favorite dishes from the meal were the soup, the nachos, and the flan. I would rather drive down to Mexicantown to get my fix of Mexican, but Juan Miguel's is a spot I would go back to.

Tonight was the right time to change that. They make very good use of the small footprint this place has. There is ample seating, if I counted right there's something like 12 tables and five or six high top options. Their primary business is carry out of course, but we found it nice to relax at a table and enjoy the ambience a little. Neither of us had a drink but we made a note of the full bar including a variety of margaritas. I'm sure they are well prepared. The somewhat limited menu is actually kind of a good thing. It means that most of their items can be brought out quickly. My wife and I both had tacos. She went with steak, and I went with pastor. Both were perfect and very well prepared. I was especially pleased at how favorable mine were with nice fresh onion and cilantro. The refried beans were also terrific, not too chalky or cakey but not too greasy either. I didn't care for my rice, but my wife enjoyed it. We also each had a flan for dessert. It was presented in a plastic container, but again this place is intended primarily for carryout. The flan was delicious and tasted freshly made. The staff were all in their young 20s but were all very friendly and accommodating. I'm looking forward to coming back here soon.

My wife and I have been running errands and wanted to try something new for supper and found this place on yelp. When we arrived it seemed a little quiet, but the hostess/waitress quickly appeared and showed us to a table. From there everything went smoothly. I opted for a plate of enchiladas, and found them to be very well prepared and seasoned. The salsa had that wonderful tomato forward texture to it that I enjoy very much. The room is small, and it's clear that they get most of their business on carryout. That being said I think if you showed up with a somewhat larger party they would be glad to take care of you. They certainly took good care of us.

Being that I'm on this side of town for a few days, I figured it was finally time to check it out. The location's much bigger with more seating than the Rochester Hills one. Nicely decorated with ample seating, you order at the counter and they run the food out to you. Not sure if they have waitresses or not, but that's how they were running it when I was there. I asked if they had Birria tacos and the man behind the counter said they do, just not on the menu. I ordered the taco dinner with shredded beef, rice, beans and a glass of water. I got served chips and dip which was okay, but the salsa was a bit runny for my liking. The "hot" salsa was good, and wasn't overpowering. Eventually, my food came out and it was a huge portion! I was impressed with all three tacos, rice and beans. It was only $13 on the menu, so I was happy with how much food I was served. The beef was a little on the dry side but still fairly good. Rice and beans were decent, but the music was a bit on the louder side. I docked a star for the meat being a bit dry and louder music considering it wasn't really necessary. The man who rang me up was super nice and friendly and also went through the menu with me since I had a few questions before ordering. Overall, a decent meal for the price and I'd return in the future.
