This was the worst experience of my life. I went with your services Because you were recommended by Red Rover as the expert packers. I have an elevator building that limits time to 4 hours. This was clearly stated up front. 1pm to 5pm. The sales person said no problem it's typically 3 hours to load a 16ft container. I said great. 5 hours later, at 6pm, after my elevator shut down. I have to pay for extra time for elevator and loading dock. The one guy was talking on his headset the entire day which was slowing down the move. My sister and I had to shrink wrap furniture, put it on a cart and take it down separate elevators to get it to the loading dock or we would've been there until 7pm. They should've told me they couldn't get this done by 5pm and that it was not typically 3hrs to load. Also, I have a heavy mirrored buffet. One guy was trying toove it by himself. At 530pm. All my furniture was still on the loading dock. The other guy standing there said I only bring down the stuff , he loads it into the truck. What??? My white leather couches were in Australia last. No covers no blankets. The guy said oh I forgot you had blankets for that. Not a damn thing I can do at that point as my security guard is saying we need to get out. 6pm at this point. Even the security guard was like what are they doing? I had to load the rest of my stuff into my friends cars to get out. I was there til 1am. Before they showed up I had all boxes packed amd marked. All furniture wrapped in bubble wrap AND cardboard. I guarantee my mirror buffet is broken. My $850 quote turned into $1200 just to load a 2 bedroom. Not Unload. Just to LOAD. Absolutely going to be writing to Better Business Bureau. I was charged a HUGE amount for absolutely no expertise. All of my items WILL BE BROKEN when I open the Red Rover. DO NOT HIRE. read more

In short I would avoid this company and if ZERO was a rating I would give it. In short, they lost my new coffee table and will not compensate me for it, and after two months of calls and inquiries. In their words today we won't compensate you because "we didn't take possession of it". Apparently, the fact that their employees wrapped it and carried it to the truck to load somehow falls short of "possession". Pack & Load movers packed so badly that they shredded the solid wood top of our desk!! It was not packed correctly. It was in many pieces when I gave it to a special repair man. I wish I had used my friends who would have done a good and better job-and saved myself $500! They did not cover furniture as they were supposed to. Heavy items were on top of lighter items. I do NOT recommend this company! And know you will only get $25 per damaged/shredded item. Their letter does not even offer an apology for your loss-just a statement that protects them from anything. Their sales person was very helpful. But do NOT make the mistake of hiring them to load your items!! read more

Pack and Load was recommended to me by UPACK for a move from PDX to SF. The movers themselves were great. However, the customer service and dispatch team are horrible. The guys showed up on time but I didn't get a call an hour prior, as requested. They didn't start until about 15-20 minutes after what was written on the paperwork. The dispatch lady, JC was trying to charge me for going over the time limit even though they didn't start on time and it was only a few minutes. When I spoke to the manager, Christine to waive the extra charges and she reviewed my quote in which I was using their unloading services at the destination as well. She agreed and waived them. I called back since it was pending on my bank account to make sure I wasn't being charged the extra fees. JC had said no it would be credited if they were. I checked after a week or so and the charges were still there. When I called back to follow up why there was a charge, Christine disregarded everything that was agreed upon and acted as if she did not agree to waive the charges. After going back and forth, I asked to talk to her manager. I explained the situation to Michael Myregaard and it was the worst customer service I'd had ever experienced. I don't normally write reviews but believed this one should be accounted for and the way they treat their customers is appalling. Worst packing company out there. Terrible service. Broke my treadmill, left holes in my drywall, and neglected to pack important items. There were two items I asked them NOT to pack. Well they packed them so I had to purchase the replacement items. I called and emailed the manager, Doug, requesting he reimburse me for the items and damage, he initially told me he'd get back to me, never did, and then continued to ignore my calls and emails. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE! TLDR version: Unprofessional, unprepared, $$5000.00 + worth of damage. Double billed (incompetence or fraud?). Won't take responsibility for items damaged. Long Version: We recently used PODS for a move from NY to FL. We used 'Pack and Load Services' as they were recommended by PODS to properly move and load our items so as not to be damaged during transit. What a mistake. On the date of the move, the 'Pack and Load Services' movers showed up 4 1/2 hours late. They told us they were sorry, "They made a wrong turn". Two movers did finally arrived in a rented 'U-Haul' truck with no equipment. No dollies to move heavy furniture, no blankets, wrap or rope to tie the items into the POD. The above said equipment was supposed to be provided. Again, they said they were sorry, "it was a miscommunication". The movers sent were not strong enough to carry the furniture. They opted to drag it along the floor, mostly concrete and paved roadway. There is well over $5000.00 dollars of damage. At the end of the move the two movers wanted me to sign a waiver that they didn't damage any items during the move. When I refused to sign an argument ensued. Very uncomfortable. Upon calling P&L Services, they directed me to their website to file a 'statement of claim'. Documentation arrived in the mail notifying us that P&L services is only liable for .60 cents per pound per item damaged with a maximum compensation of $25.00 dollars per item and a maximum of $250.00 per move. How is this legal? I didn't sign or agree to any of this and they caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. Upon calling PODS to complain, we were told that PODS is not affiliated with any moving company they recommend. Thanks PODS, shame on you too. Fast forward to the end of the month, credit card bill arrives and P&L services double billed us. Upon calling P&L services, they acknowledged the error and said a credit would be issued to my card. No credit was ever received. I had to contact the credit card company to dispute the charge. The dispute is ongoing. This entire experience has been a complete nightmare. We're currently at the phase where we're contemplating litigation to recover some of the loss. Not sure what else to do. Hopefully this review prevents anyone else from having to experience what we went through. From the other reviews posted, I see this is not an isolated experience. AVOID THIS COMPANY. At the very least, visit their so-called A rating page at the BBB: https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/largo/profile/packing-service/pack-load-services-inc-0653-90038466 Pack and Load Services Inc asked for a credit card to provide a quote. They subsequently charged that card 75.00 when I cancelled a move date scheduled 3 weeks out. In their documentation to the BBB, they physically modified the quote to make it seem as if I cancelled within ten days of the move date. Luckily I had documentation to prove otherwise. I'd avoid if at all possible as they are unethical and this sort of behavior tends to infect every level of the business including their movers. I wish had a read these reviews before using Pack & Load Services to load my Pods. I had taken all of my clothes out of the dressers because I've had movers damage them before claiming they were too heavy. These movers STILL took the empty dresser drawers out. Now half of the drawers are off tracks and I found parts in the drawers they clearly broke and left that way. Not to mention whatever they placed on top of one of my dressers rubbed the paint off and left an indent mark. I moved from FL to CA and had another company unload me because I wasn't satisfied in FL. NOW Pack & Load won't "assume any responsibility" because they didn't unload my Pods. I used Pack and Load Service in 2018. At that time, the service was absolutely great. After the move on July 15th, 2023, I would warn any and everyone to STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Pack and load, a once reparable company, has become one of the worst experiences ever; the poor packing and loading skills and the terrible customer service leaves much to be desired. The movers brought paper to pack my things, which was a little concerning, and was expressed. The movers response was they had years of experience and knew what they were doing. As I watched them pack my things, with little regard, I expressed to them again; I have very valuable things that need to be packed correctly or they will break. Once again, I was met with a flippant attitude about their years of experience and knowing what they were doing. After all the boxes were pack, they began packing my pod. The pod was pack with the same disregard as the boxes, at that point I called the company to express concern that not only were the boxes packed carelessly, but so was the pod. They didn't secure anything. I took pictures of everything. After the pod was loaded, the movers tried to coerce me to signing a waiver, which I refused and called customer service. I was informed by customer service that I was not required to sign a waiver. I took pictures of all the documents I signed. On today, November 20th, the pod was delivered to the destination. Upon delivery, the pod was so terribly packed I can not get the door open. Calling the customer service line did nothing. These people clearly have no respect for even repeat customers. The first customer service representative transferred me to a line that went to voicemail. The second representative, Christina, had no respect for what their company put me through. I was already upset because no one listened to my concern during the move, and now I have to deal with the result. And, secondly no one cared or seemed concerned about what I was currently dealing with. read more

HORRIBLE company! They use inexperienced movers and don't cover the damages the inexperienced movers cause. The movers dropped the two wheel cart down my stairs banging off the wall as it went down and nicked, gauged and scratched the hell out of my walls and wood flooring at the base of the stairs. The movers said "sorry...call the office". After two months, Pack and Load offered me $25 for the $1,000 damage! That's how much confidence they have in their hired help. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We prearranged billing for a POD load and 20 disposable blankets, I was managing the move for my elderly mother-in-law. We supplied 6 blankets and paid for up to 20 moving pads ahead of time for packing 1 16ft POD. When the crew arrived, before they started loading, they told my 88 year old mother in law they needed extra blankets for 100 dollars which she handed them in cash. There is no way they could have known this ahead of time and they weren't clear what exactly she was giving them cash for. All the financial arrangements were mode up front and I was not contacted for any changes. I spoke to the billing office and they said "she made a deal with them". I thought 'them' was Pack and Load? Why am I arranging everything up front with Pack and Load? In my opinion this is clearly a shakedown of an elderly person - elder abuse - and completely unethical. The understanding is it was all paid for up front on the credit card. Further, Pack and Load could have easily made it right but chose to stick to this unethical behavior. read more

When they hadn't showed up by 9:30 a.m. I called and was told they would be there between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. No dice. Called at 11 and was told they'd be to us by 12:45 p.m. No dice. They finally showed up at 1:20 p.m. We had a 16 foot POD to load, and then a second 7 foot one coming the next day. We told them exactly which stuff we needed to go in the 16 foot POD. They basically ignored us and loaded whatever they wanted. Terrible experience. Do not hire these people. read more

Run from Pack and Load. We unfortunately relied on the PODS website as a resource for a loading company for a move from Florida to Virginia. It was a disastrous and expensive decision. The inexperienced crew overcharged us for padding supplies, inefficiently loaded the two PODS and (the most disastrous) did not secure or tie down our furniture and belongings. This resulted in thousands of dollars of damage. It was a challenge to open the door of the PODS to unpack because all the furniture had fallen onto the door. The contract allows for 60 cents per pound ... period. We were reimbursed $260 for damages which was a fraction of the cost of repairs. One item alone cost $600 to repair. The treadmill was totaled. Furniture was seriously damaged and the list goes on. Please see the photos below, and run from this company. Pack and Load Services.. They are recommended by PODS which is really hard to believe that a great company would recommend such douche bags. I call them and I was literally rushed off of the phone discussing my move. After having to make a quick decision I decided to proceed with them. I needed the total pack and load services in my Uhaul. The guy estimated 3 estimated 3 hours to have 3 guys to pack and load. I thought that was a little off. But I am like what do I know? I got the quote for $1268.00. They took my payment before calling to give me a time they would show up. Load day, three men showed up (they are contract people) Pack and load charges the hell out of you and then gives them pinions. So they got everything done it did take 4 hours. They charged me $199 for the extra hour. So the whole time the lady had been checking on the process of the move. Well she called and could not reach me. Lady I am moving I do not have time to answer the phone for you and you babysitting your workers. Since she could not reach me and I guess she could not reach the movers either cause they had been gone at this time. They charged me for an additional hour and they also charged me for all of the boxes. Even though I could did not use them all. I called 4 times and then sent 2 emails. I was directed to leave a message every time and never got a chance to talk to anyone. I even called the movers and they said that happens all of the time. So I had to call in a dispute with my bank. Which is disappointing that a business that took my money and they do not even want to apologize or even tell me why they charged me all they did without discussing. I will never recommend them and I will be reporting them to the BBB as well and to PODS. Such a terrible experience. read more

The unloading team dropped my Armoire. Destroying the side panel where hinges are attached. This is a $1200.00 piece of furniture that the pack and load guys left in my garage pending inspection. Surprise there is no inspection needed! They only cover an item for up to $25.00. Now I'm left with a broken armoire taking up space in my garage. When I mentioned this to Pack & Load they tell me I shouldn't have listen to these guys they were only "movers". That is what I paid good money for "movers". Check out this companies liability agreement prior to using them. I wish I had! read more

Do not use this company!!! They do not deserve any stars. Overpriced and damaged a lot of our furniture. They do not know how to pack! Leather sofas weren't wrapped with blankets or anything and are now ruined - they had plastic containers rubbing up against them and sharp objects poking them for 1300 miles. They tied rope around the rubber handles of our exercise equipment and now that's in shreds. Our bedroom side tables are all scratched up. They didn't wrap hardly anything, so things bumped up against each other for 1300 miles. The fact that PODs recommends them is horrific and makes me never want to use PODs again, either. To say this experience has been a nightmare, is an understatement. I scheduled packing and loading of my services based on a recommendation from PODS. After speaking with a coordinator, I had everything scheduled for a Fri/Sat visit. When calling back to give final billing information, I was told my dates had been changed to Fri/Mon. I explained that I was not off on Monday. I was told they had no crews available in my area. While frustrated, we needed the work done so I arranged for my husband/adult daughter to be there on Monday. Friday rolled around and my initial time window for the crews arrival was 8-11am. I called at 9:20 to see if they had a better window, at which time I was told they would be at my home at 12pm. Agent advised that the crew had a morning "unload" job before me. I expressed my frustration, and reminded them that I had told my coordinator that this was a big job and that was not going to allow a lot of time for day 1. Agent answering phone advised they would be there at 12 and would "get the work done". At 12:20 I called again and was told my crew was on the way, and were "stopping for extra boxes". I again advised my concern with the time frame and that I had already had boxes ordered on my initial invoice. Agent replied that the crew would be at my home by 3.. and felt they needed more supplies. At 3:30 I called again and was told the crew was running behind and had stopped for boxes but were on their way. Turns out, said crew, was coming from Richmond (3 hours away). The crew arrived at 4:20 and left at 9:50. Crew was rushed the entire time.. left numerous items throughout the house unpacked and crammed the POD completely full. The instructions for he POD to leave space to allow for shifting of items, which they did not. In speaking to 3 different people throughout the day NO ONE apologized. I spent $3060 for day one and got 4 crew members and 5.5 hours of work. I expressed over and over again how I had taken a day off work, spent a lot of money and did not at ALL get what I had paid for. The following day a supervisor contacted me and I had to explain the chaos of the whole situation. She was the first one to apologize, and said she would get back to me. I still at that point did not have a definitive time frame for the crews Monday arrival. I asked that she let me knew and expressed again that it would need to be morning and that they would need more than 4 people. She was adamant that she would figure this all out for me and would get back to me shortly. This was around 9-10 in the morning. I called at 4 as I had not heard from anyone and got a voicemail. I called again at 5 and the evening shift agent answered and said its after hours when I asked for the supervisor. She was rude, and very dismissive. I explained that I was supposed to have received a call back, both about my issues and my Monday crew. She advised that I would not get a call back until Monday. I called back later, and asked to move the crew to Thursday (my next day off) since I did not know when they would be arriving and did not know how many people. I was told they did not have a crew available Thursday but they did have Wednesday and they would try to get additional help and a morning crew. I explained that my original crew was driving 3 hours so if there was any way they could get someone local. I did not hear back on Monday, so I called on Tuesday to confirm Wednesday crew. At which time I was told they had me scheduled for Thursday "because that's what I asked for". I explained I was told they did not have anyone available Thursday and that they did have availability Wednesday. I also explained I had already moved my PODS pickup to Thursday based on this information. Later that evening I received a call that I would have a Wednesday crew and that they were trying to get additional help. I was initially told it would be an afternoon crew. I expressed my disappointment in this entire experience, and was then told the crew would be mid-day. I did not have choice but to just agree with this and said okay. Wednesday TWO people showed up at my home. When they came in the house they told my daughter, that they were loading, but they were not packing. My daughter explained that I paid for packing AND loading. This day was at a cost of $1800. An hour later one of the two left and brought back a different individual. While they did get a lot done, the job was by no means finished. I had 3 PODS and explained on DAY ONE, that this was a large job and would need extra help. While these two gentlemen did get a lot done, it was not at all done with caution and concern for our belongings. The gentleman loaded two refrigerators. One of which I have owned less than a year. There are several dents and scratches on both. The second refrigerator, they got stuck in a doorway. They had to pull it back out. My son then took the doors off for them. Still unloading - do not know the extent of damage at this point. read more

Straight up terrible. You'd be better off with random guys off the street, because that's effectively what they send you. We had one large pod for our move last summer, and made the mistake of using Pack & Load at both ends. The load wasn't too bad at first. Two guys showed up right at 8am. One was clearly inexperienced muscle, but the other did an efficient job of fitting things in. However, we discovered after the fact that only some of our furniture got the appropriate wrapping treatment, while some chairs were left completely uncovered and came out the other side a bit worse for wear. It was also clear from the way they handled our boxes that had we not packed things as thoroughly and securely as we had, any remotely fragile item would've been broken in the bouncing of the dolly down the stairs. But they did get everything loaded by lunchtime. At this point I would've said 3/5 at most, but the experience was downhill from here. If you do make the mistake of going with this company, under no circumstance should you take their flat rate pricing for a single pod. It's roughly double the charge vs hourly given the amount of time ours took to load, and I can't imagine how it could take even close to that long to be worth it. To make things even worse, we had asked them to move a couple extra items to the curb after the pod was loaded. For less than ten minutes of additional work we were charged $125 for an additional hour of labor. And no one informed me they intended to charge extra until I received the invoice via email. Utterly ridiculous on top of the flat rate we had already overpaid. But the real problems came on the unload. - Three guys arrived after 9, with no ETA or any communication ahead of time. I understand time windows are a thing, but it should not be a mystery. I called the customer service line to politely inquire and got no info until the truck pulled up. The lead somewhat defensively showed me that his form only said "AM", which apparently to them means any time before noon? - All three utterly reeked of smoke. And each took at least one smoke break on my driveway despite the job only taking approximately two hours. - One of the three was clearly the younger sibling of the other, and was frequently idle. - They came under the impression that we had a piano. We do not. We had an elliptical, which I had clearly noted on the original scheduling form and confirmed via phone with the rep. This is the company's screw-up, not the crew's. They had apparently brought a cart specifically with a piano in mind, so P&L clearly doesn't take care when it comes to helping their workers either. - The walls of our stairs took a number of dings as they brought the larger items up. - We asked for the elliptical to be taken to the basement. To their credit, they made every effort. Unfortunately one went as far as partially disassembling the unit (after reassuring me he knew what he was doing), only to promptly give up before making any meaningful progress. We settled for having it in the front room. Oh did I mention we paid $90 extra on each end for them to handle the (wheeled!) elliptical? - The elliptical hasn't worked right since. After only a couple uses it now groans and grinds on each motion and needs at minimum a full disassembly and possibly major repair. Regarding the $125 extra, after they ignored two emails requesting the charge be removed, I initiated a partial chargeback with my credit card company. Still haven't heard from P&L. TL;DR Overcharged, broke my stuff, ignored my follow up. read more

Nothing was packed correctly, it's all about speed for these guys...how fast they can thrown it in the pod and leave. Every piece of furniture was damaged, no padding used despite having it on site for them. They use plastic wrap and 1 sheet of paper to 'protect' wood furniture. Save your money!! read more

Phil came in first to survey what we had to load, he was not listening to what we told him about the furniture to be loaded. When his crew came to move our furniture & boxes they were not even going to cover our cream colored carpet - even though it had been raining and their shoes were wet and muddy. The carpet was not covered until I told them that I did not want them going up and down the stairs without protective covering on them. They were in such a hurry to get done that they did not take the time to remove the legs from the couches causing damage to two door frames and the legs to the couch. There is also damage to the top hutch of our china cabinet from them sliding it across the floor instead of picking it up and carrying it. Our couch that is less than a year old was jammed in the door as they were trying to get it out all because they didn't remove the legs - causing damage to at least one leg and we are not sure about the back of the couch yet. My husband asked them to stop what they were doing while he went to get tools to take the legs off and they did not listen, continuing to try and force the couch out the door. At this point, needless to say we are quite concerned about what shape our furniture is going to be in when we receive it in a few months. I would stay away from using this company - they were very expensive and unprofessional. Is there a way to give a zero? I hired them to load my house into two PODS. The minute they got here, they asked what I wanted moved and let me talk for about 15 seconds before he told me I was "already slowing him down". I told them the reclining sectional in the basement was going to be tough to get up because it was tough to get down 4 years ago (the wall paint was scrapped when my husband and his brother carried it down 4 year ago) and he ensured me they wouldn't move it if they thought they were going to damage anything. Sure enough, 5 minutes later, I hear him yell my name saying they put a hole in the wall and scrapped all the walls and trim coming up the stairs. When I looked shocked and upset, he said "Well I don't know what you expect, the couch is heavy and huge. Clearly we aren't good enough for you so we will just leave." Then he and I both separately called the company and they were gonna replace the main guy and during the talks, the other two damaged my nightstand, so I told them they could all just leave. I've been trying to file a complaint with the company for two hours and they keep telling me that they are gonna mail me a form and maybe reimburse me for the damage. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT using this company!!! One of the movers removed my remote control for my sleep number bed, (which he had NO reason to), by going through my personal effects in my night stand. I was on scene throughout the entire process. He said nothing about it, and fast forward to moving into my new house. I got my bed set up and found my remote was gone. I immediately called the company, and later spoke with the idiot who lost it. He changed his story several times, and ultimately had NO idea where he placed it?! He offered to buy a new one, but the entire pump/remote needs replacing. I filed a claim with the company, and denied it because I chose to use a different company to unload. Mind you, I was again on scene throughout the unpacking, and the remotes gone. They're weak reason is because I used a different company. I explained in great detail that I was not only on scene during both, packing and unpacking, but was actively helping! The stellar employee again had NO right or reason to dig through my things, but didn't even mention it to me. Had he had half a brain, he'd have given ME the remote, thus removing any liability from him. But he didn't and instead lied repeatedly when I spoke with him after the fact, and this awesome company denied my claim because I chose a different, more reliable company to unload. I realize this is long and drawn out, but if I could do it again, I'd have NOT used this dishonest and shady company. I also tipped $120 prior to realizing my remote would disappear. This company ruined eight pieces of furniture and then give you the run around when filing a claim. First they want pictures which was no problem. The company who unloaded kept calling us out to see damage before they unloaded so we had them. Then after those were send they wanted an estimate which I paid for and sent. Then they send us a letter saying they are not liable because they didn't unload us. We could not find them in our new state. We were just asking for things to be repaired not replaced. Worst company ever. Pod need to take them off their website. If you value your belongings DO NOT USE this company. They are a joke. read more

They left my things in garbage bags on the floor after being unable to fit everything into a POD and said I could "figure it out" or "put things in the back of my car." The movers were great guys but the company is as irresponsible as one could imagine. The movers made a bad decision to "walk" my Ms. Pacman machine across my wood floors and made several scratches. They also removed the blankets before moving furniture in the house and damaged the stairway in several places as well. They were very apologetic and assured me that Pack and Load would take care of the damages. While waiting for the forms to arrive, I had local companies do bids to make the repairs. The cheapest bid was $1,039 to repair the floors and $595 to do the walls. I filled out Pack and Loads forms and provided pictures and a copy of the document where the movers admitted to doing the damage and pictures included in a 28 page document. They do not return phone calls. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Largo, Florida. Pack and Load does not return their phone calls either. Here are the culprits. Extension 200 (Joey). He may be the biggest con of them all. He is in charge of the claims. He offered me by e-mail $25 to just go away. Christine seems nice (ext 170) but she is helpless, Danielle ext 214 will listen but has zero authority but has none and David (112) pretends like he has some ability but doesn't do anything either. I have put a claim into Pods to make sure they are aware of the suspect business practices and have suggested that they stop recommending this company. I did not complain about the initial move, but I should note that the group assigned to my move-out agreed to take apart my $2,000 treadmill. When they got to my new home, it was still in several pieces. They told me I had to call another service to put in back together which cost another few hundred dollars. The sales guy... name is Lance was less than honest about the treadmill. I hope that those of you who have documented the issues surrounding this poorly run, non-communicative company will call the Better Business Bureau of Largo, Florida, and file a complaint. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! Every piece, EVERY piece of furniture had damage. Refrigerator doors were damaged, items were not packed correctly, so when we unpacked, stuff was strewn everywhere. I filed a claim and sent in pictures of all the damaged items before they were unloaded. This cheap, crappy, uncaring, zero customer service company did not even attempt to resolve my complaint. In closing, if you want everything you own damaged and not replaced or paid for then by all means use this packing company. read more

We used them last year to pack our pod and found the crew to be argumentative and rude. They also broke a leg on our couch in front of me while stuffing it in the pod and then the lead guy said "it was already like that". Apparently they subcontract out to the lowest bidder and it shows. At the end of the day their final price was hundreds more than what they quoted, and when I asked them if they could really maximize their packing so I could avoid buying another pod the head guy said "you take care of me, I take care of you" and put his hand out for more cash. Stay away from these movers! They damaged our new wood floor (by dropping our TV on it) and won't fix it. I am STILL waiting on the $25 check they promised. This was such a meager gesture on their part and they can't even manage to send the check. read more

We have used Pack and Load services a few times before and have been somewhat satisfied with the crew who came out to load and unload my Pods. Because I had used this company before, I trusted that use them without any problem. I was wrong. I had boxed almost all by belongings, strapped garden tools together, disassembled racks and tried to make it as easy as possible. I had two pods to load in two trips. One of the loaders, who called himself the lead, spent time watching the repaving of the street in front of my home. They packed and repacked the boxes as they were learning how to load a Pod. It took 6 hours for a three hour job. I spent my day telling them to get everything out in the drive way to plan how to load my items. The second day and pod went a little quicker until they tried to get my couch out the door. They keep asking how the couch came into the house and I told them it came in the front door. The lead, after not being able to get the couch out started yelling at me, saying, what do you want me to do. I said I wanted the couch in the pod. I am not the loader. That is what I hired your company to do. The lead started arguing with me and was so unprofessional so I asked to get someone out here who knows what they are doing. He said no one was available. I asked where his boss was and I was told he had to stay home to watch his children. When the bill came, I was charged about $2000.00 and that included paper blankets they didn't use and took twice the time needed to complete the job. If I could give this company -stars, I would. This is the poorest excuse for a pack and load company and I believe Pod's company should take them off the preferred list of loader company. We moved from MA to SC using PODs and Pack & LOAD of Crap. Issues on beginning move were P&L scheduled us for early morning start to load our POD. By 11AM we called their office and was told the packers were running behind. (WE HAD TO CALL THEM TO GET UPDATES) Packers finally showed up at 10:45 PM and left our house at 2AM. Packers told us that P&L screwed up schedule and they were originally scheduled for their first appt, not our appt. No calls from P&L during the day, WE HAD TO KEEP CALLING THEM. We waited around the house for over 10 hours for moving to start. Next was unpacking in SC. Packers called us at 7:15 AM to let us know they would be at house in about 15 minutes. P.&L office (out of FL) never called to tell us time packers would be coming. We had an issue getting lock off POD and the unloaders needed to delay by 1 hour. Still finished by 9:30 AM. P&L office told movers to put down time they were not even at the house but figured that was for P&L to pay unloaders. We got a bill for the time the unloaders had to wait. (Again, we were never told what time the loaders would be there in the first place) . We called P&L office and after 3 calls finally got to someone in MGT to discuss the additional $250 for wait time. MGT person was cold and not willing to listen to all the facts why we should not be charged additional money. Was told that was the way it was and charge would stay. Packers heard us on the phone and told us we should have checked local sources (social media, craigs list, etc) and got the unloaders directly instead of using P&L as they were not fans of them either from their side of things. Pack and Load were the WORST from communication and BS excuses on everything from logistics to returning calls about issues. NEVER USE PACK & LOAD; especially the group out of FL because they are not customer friendly or courteous. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. Hired in Virginia. Do Not Trust!!!! PODS should be ashamed to have them on their site! Their deposit is the full amount and when they don't complete (or walk off) the job they lie! Getting them to complete the job or get your money back is impossible. They make promises they don't keep, like moving pianos, or coming back. They play nice until they get your money, then watch out! They hire day labor, so it's the luck of the draw on how they well they do the job or even if they do the job. They told my credit card company my claim was "bogus". Still fighting for a credit for not finishing. I'm afraid of what I will see when I unpack. They didn't use the packing blankets I paid them for or the straps I provided for them..... read more

Unfortunately was not a great experience with this moving company. The drivers milked another hour out of me. Took a smoke break 1 hour into the job and didn't even get all my furniture down into a car port so it could be loaded. Movers left my house empty handed and I watched 3 grown men shrink wrap a bed frame. Overall very poor service and not handled accordingly. I made my concerns to management and after almost 1000 dollars in services. They actually offered me a DISCOUNTED RATE on my next service!!! Not even a refund of time. Finally, they offered me a 50 Dollar credit??? Since it appears they need the money more then me. Moving is a stressful time to begin with and this company ruined my impressions of movers. We used pack and load from richmond va. It was horrible and a nightmare. Yes we were on a time frame. We asked for contract and they said they sent it. We were supposed to have 4 movers they sent two. The supervisor sat in air conditioning truck and watched a movie. Everything was already in boxes. We asked if we could help bring stuff out to the boxes. They said no,it was against the rules. We had two dollies to help. They carried one box at a time and dropped a couple. They were getting paid by the hour. The next day we had items sitting in the driveway. They did not arrive on time. They had more people and it went faster. These guys on the second day were ok. When we arrived we had to use the same company. The two guys showed up and they were great. They asked who packed because the did everything wrong. We ended with leather lift chairs with holes, broken dining room table, scratches on wood furniture. Since the company in Florida, you can fight it. That is why most if the companies have hone offices In Florida due to it is very hard to fight in court that state. So for 8,000.dollars damages we ended up with a check less than $280. I am asking. If I could rate this company a 0 star review, that would be more accurate. To start, one responds to emails or phone calls. Not even in an untimely manner, they simply never get back to you. Secondly, almost all of our furniture was damaged. It appeared as though they'd tossed it around like bean bags. Wood is broken, couches are torn and things are spilled. They did not provide what was expected. They sent unprofessional movers who were rough and careless with our furniture. The movers objected to move a bed frame which we ended up doing ourselves. They did not protect our sofas with wrapping. They chipped our porch steps while dragging the furniture. When calling the company about their service, they did not take responsibility for the lack of services that was provided. Do not use them for your services.
