WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED! I was moving from Longmont Colorado to Lafayette Colorado. We used Pack & Load Services Inc (based in Largo Florida) to load a POD in June of 2022. The individuals that loaded were RUDE, LAZY, MESSY, and clearly did not want to be working. They ignored the instructions and priorities that were laid out upon arrival. They did a horrible/inefficient job of loading the POD and left the job early after charging a minimim number of hours that they did not reach. They charged me for items that were not correct and overbilled for the job. Customer service was absolutely useless. The lied about follow-up. When I tried to reach management, they NEVER returned calls and never responded. I reported to BBB and they flat out lied to the BBB. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Do not use Pack and Load. I used Pack and Load for assistance with packing my moving truck on July 31, 2023. I was moving from Bartlett, TN (near Memphis). Pack and Load did not show up on time. They came 6 hours late and only after several follow up calls asking for help. By the time they arrived the majority of the packing had already been completed. They only stayed for 2 hours and did a horrible job of nesting and packing the truck. After they left I had to unload portions of their work and repack in order to secure the load and fit more in. When I was unloading I discovered they had packed an empty box. Very frustrating as I had left belongings at my previous home that didn't fit in the truck. I could have packed those items had empty boxes not been loaded by Pack and Load. I will never recommend or use Pack and Load again. Using P&L was the single biggest regret of my move. read more

Very unprofessional. I am shocked that PODS actually referred this company. I tried to reach someone at PODS to discuss my experience but could not get a live person. Crew showed up late. They were eating their breakfast when they arrived. I think they loaded up the POD ok but....they scraped my wall with some furniture & when I called customer service to report it, they told me a manager would contact me and it never happened. They said that a repairman would come out to drywall and repaint. That never happened. What did happen was the same guy who scratched my wall wanted to come out to fix it himself. I wasn't about to meet him back at my empty house after 8 pm. I wanted a person who knows how to drywall properly do the repair. I ended up hiring my own painter & he only charged me $75. After months of filing out documents to get reimbursed today I received a $25 check. DONT USE THESE PEOPLE. read more

Was recommended to use these people by PODS. Got a quote for loading my uhaul and POD of 3 hours with 2 people after telling them the square footage of the house to be emptied and the contents/furniture. A subcontracted crew shows up late, was quoted 8AM, they got there at 10AM. They were there for 9 hours and had to come back the next morning to finish. Finally saying they "couldn't fit" everything in after an additional 2 hours. Got charged 3x the quoted price because they took so long. Had to get a 2nd uhaul for the excess that they couldn't fit. When the POD arrived, I was devastated. They had placed the feet of an end table on the top of my dresser and basically broke the corner off my dresser. They packed heavy plastic totes on top of carboard boxes causing them to cave in. The side of my leather couch was scraped within an inch of it's life because they loaded it on the side and slid it into the POD. Most of my wooden furniture was scraped or gauged at least in one place. Broke a crystal lamp. The list goes on. I contact them to put in a claim. They mail the paperwork. I fill it out and include receipts from my furniture to show the value, all the while reading that they assume no more than $25.00 of liability per item with a maximum of $250.00 liability for any "job". I diligently fill out the paperwork to get my measly $250.00 because I feel they owe me at least that for my heartbreak and trouble. I get a letter today saying that I am ineligible for the claim because they did not BOTH load and unload the POD. I will be also filing a complaint with the BBB because this is all so ethically wrong, but please AVOID THIS COMPANY! read more

I selected Pack and Load because Michael was more professional and knowledgeable than the other people I spoke to on the phone. I was told the crew 2 guys) would be at my house to load the POD in the afternoon. We waited all day and after several calls, they showed up at 5:00. They were obviously exhausted after the long day they had been working. They were slow-moving and spent a lot of time texting on their phones. I actually took a video on my phone of one occasion. They were very careless and not concerned with the furniture. They loaded up in exactly 3 hours (the minimum charge). If it had taken longer, I would have had an ugly confrontation. The POD was not loaded with forethought and they wasted a lot of space so there was no room for us to add any leftover small items. I had to sign a form stating that they had not damaged anything without knowing if they did. I suspected that I would discover some issues when we had the unload. I was not surprised to see quite a number of my items were, in fact, damaged. I called to speak to Michael twice and left voicemails but he never called me back. We didn't get finished at the loading site until after 9:00 pm due to the late arrival of the guys who loaded. Then we had to find someplace to get something to eat at 10:00 after a long stressful day. The unloading crew showed up on time 8:00 am as promised. There were 3 guys this time. They worked more quickly and had the POD unloaded in a short time. Two of the three were the same guys who loaded. We had an antique hutch damaged, a refrigerator dented, sever other pieces were scratched up despite the paper wrapping they charged us $135 for. When I called to complain, I was told I needed to fill out a claim form in order to get any compensation for my damages. I again asked to speak to Michael and was told he couldn't help me, that I would have to wait for the paperwork and go through that hassle. The woman I spoke to was unpleasant and unhelpful. This company was recommended by PODS. Should have read the YELP review first. These guys came in under a contract of 3 hours for 2 men for $399 which is what Pack and Load agreed to. Any additional time would be charged at a rate of $99 per hour. Seemed expensive but we needed to get our PODS unloaded. When the crew arrived the boss of the crew said he was scheduled to unload only 1 POD. I told him of the contract with Pack and Load and he said he would call Heather at Pack and Load. He came back, did not tell me what was said, if anything, and had me sign a blank agreement which he said was the form for the starting time. He and his crew would only unload 1 POD which lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes and then they left. We had to unload the second POD ourselves which was sitting right next to it! The next day I checked with my credit card and they charged me the $499 which was the 3 hour rate plus the extra $99. $499 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The only thing that crew cared about was getting out of here as fast as they could. Pack and Load is shameless. PODS really is making a huge mistake recommending these people. Do NOT use Pack and Load services under any circumstances! They have 86 complaints with the Better Business Bureau and tons right here. I give them a ZERO star rating!!!!! This company specializes in hiring incompetent crews that have zero competency in either proper packing or loading techniques. The sales rep did a fantastic job of selling their services but when the two-person crew showed up it was immediately apparent they were unprepared and oblivious. Unbeknownst to us, they had NO packing paper! So, when they packed our belongings, you guessed it, they were thrown in a box completely unprotected. They arrived late on day one and left shortly after to get more boxes. They were gone an hour and fifteen minutes. They returned and packed until 3:45 pm and then threatened to walk off the job. Unfortunately I convinced them to stay, I wish I would've let them leave! They sat in their car for another hour before they continued to pack. They did not finish packing but left at 7 pm. On day two my husband and I opened some of the boxes because they rattled when we moved them. It was then we discovered half-full or less than half-full boxes and no protection because they didn't use packing paper!!!! One of the crew members told me "don't lose your marbles!" We called the CSR in Florida and asked for a different crew, she said none were available nor could they be available another day, this was her only crew in Louisville, KY. We asked to cancel the job and she said she'd charge us $275 plus the prior day's charges. She promised the crew would open all the boxes and wrap and repack them. The crew still did not have packing paper, they tore up disposable furniture pads to use!!!!!! Left with no other option, My husband and I worked and trained the crew for the next 12 hours!!!! Due to their ineptitude in loading, we had to sacrifice 12 pieces of expensive furniture to include a family heirloom, it just didn't hit on the two PODS. Their inept loading created a load that was unstable, and not full! They did not install the cargo straps correctly, they were threaded backwards so there was no way they could be tightened!!!! If we would have left it, I'm certain the load would have shifted and would severely damage the POD. I called the company to complain and ask for a reduction on the bill and I never heard back from them. I have photographs to prove their incompetence and I sent all of them to the CSR, she did not seem to see the seriousness of the situation and STILL with that proof she did not reduce our bill and will not return my call!! To add injury to insult, in order to file a damage claim, you have to use their unload services!!! I have zero confidence anything will show up in Utah undamaged. I would not recommend this company to no one, not even my worse enemy. I would sell my furniture first before I would call this company to move me, again. My first experience, which was them loading my POD, the movers damaged my adjustable base. It no longer works at all. They did not use the materials that I paid for to properly cover my mattresses and furniture. Now, the unloading experience was a nightmare on elm street. I had to freeze my card so they wouldn't get paid in order to get someone to contact me. Because I was trying to change my move date because I had a family emergency. By the time I got in contact with someone I couldn't afford to change the date from what I currently had. At that point, I expressed to the young lady I spoke to that if it was possible to please, please express to the movers that I needed them to come at the top of the hour they were set to come because I had to drive back to my home town. Which was a 10 hour drive. She explained that she couldn't make any promises but she would put the request in. I expressed to her that I understood. The movers had between 8am-11am window to come and unload my POD. They were 30 minutes late. After contacting the moving company and inquiring about the movers and when they would arrive, I was told that their ETA was between 10am and 10:30am. They didn't get there until 11:30am. I asked to speak to management. Christina, who is the manager told me when I expressed to her the importance of me trying not to start my 10hr drive to late. And requesting to reschedule the move because I didn't want be on the road all night, which I was. She stated to me that I would be charged over 200 dollars if I rescheduled. I asked her how was she going to charge me when the movers wasn't even there yet. At that time. Her statement to me was "it's not like 30 minutes is supper late". In my book late is late. She tried to explain to me how the movers have no control over accidents and like I told her I have no control over an emergency that take place in my life. Keep in mind, the reason for the movers lateness was not told to me until they pulled up to my house. Honestly it wasn't the fact that they were late it was the principal of the matter. No one could tell me why the movers were late, when I asking for their ETA, I was lied to about their ETA and my well being was disregarded. Along with being disrespected by the staff that day. 1 person out of the 5 people I spoke to, handle the call with professionalism. My next issue is the movers were 30 minutes late, they put holes and scratches in my walls, ceilings and floors. They damaged my furniture, a long with going over an hour in unloading my POD after Christina, who is management guaranteed that the unloading process would be quick and it was not. They charged me a $129.00 for the hour the movers went over, despite the fact they were 30 minutes late. I have emailed, and called trying to get the damages to my brand new home and furniture taking care of and no has responded to my emails nor returned my phone calls. Listen I don't like doing reviews but if this review will save someone from experiencing frustration and unnecessary disrespect then I'm willing to write this review. A customer has enough going on without having to worry about a moving company mistreatment and disregard for them as a customer. Along with experiencing movers tearing up their things and management disregarding their well being. Consideration and accountability is all I asked for. I got the total opposite. Not only were my loaders NOT experienced like promised but also unaware of what they were moving. We had a grandfather clock and was told their movers had experience. No they were new. I was also told they pack a UPack truck weekly. No, they never had. They didn't fully pack the truck after I was told it would be packed every inch. I was unable to watch them every second so they closed the truck saying it was full. I saw how empty it was when it arrived at the new house. They put boxes marked with red fragile tape on the bottom and loaded furniture and heavy items on top. Be prepared to pay at least twice what they quote. 3/4 of my belongings was packed and stored in the garage. It took them 9 hours! Furthermore, I provided brand new moving blankets (30) and realized after they left that there were 12 still in the package. Once I was unpacking the trailer I found out they wrapped my wood furniture in plastic wrap! I was told to provide blankets or get charged for them using their own. They didn't have any! They showed up in a sports car. I provided everything. After filing a claim, they won't respond. The amount of money spent on these loaders, leaving stuff behind "that wouldn't fit", and renting a uhaul for left over items would have been better spent hiring a youth group to load! They did send packers and they knew how to do their work. However they showed up late and quit before the work was done. Apparently they are used to small moves. Every time I called they asked if I had one Pod to load, even though I had told them I had 4 when made the reservation. They gave me a window to show up to load anytime between 8 and 11. Fortunately they came at 9:00 on the first day. When I needed them a second day, they first told me they could, then they said they had been pulled to a more important job and would not show up until noon. I told them that was unacceptable and they agreed to send a crew of 4 between 8 and 11:00. However on the next day, 2 of them showed up at noon, the other 2 came at 2:15. To their credit they did stay until they fished packing at 9:00 pm. On the third day, loading day, they assured me they would get everything loaded in 8 hours. They said they may not need the fourth Pod. When 7.5 hours had passed, they said they had to stop because that was all they could fit. They still had 2 bicycles, a workbench, two large storage racks, a wheel barrow and brooms to load. I insisted they could load it if they were more creative and careful to use the available space. They did load the rack, but said that was all they could fit and quit at 7.75 hours and charged for the full 8. I finished loading everything the next day. Terrible Experience. Hired to fill a POD, moving/storing a 2BR apt. Hired 3 movers instead of 2 to be safe...I outworked all 3 of them combined. Over an hour late, no work ethic, communication, couldn't disassemble furniture, wrapping/padding looked like a toddler did it. Movers reeked of a mix of cologne and cannabis and spent more time complaining about being tired and hungover than they did their job. Complete disaster. Caused damage to my hardwood floor, staircase, and door frame. Customer Service Manager stands by her crew as "one of our best" - they will not be in business for long if they think what I had is a quality crew. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. read more

Both my wife and I work in customer-facing jobs and understand that things can go wrong, despite the best of intentions. We also know that reputable and reliable companies have an effective problem resolution process in place for when things do go wrong. Unfortunately, Pack & Load Services failed miserably on both counts during our move in August 2022. Our list of grievances is manifold. The most egregious issues are as follows: * Do not follow instructions - we put a lot of effort into color coding and labelling boxes, especially those to PACK LAST near the container door for easy access later. We are storing our POD long term and will gradually be moving pieces to different locations - thus, proper packing in the right sequence was paramount. When we reviewed these instructions with the 2 movers, they assured us that they would put the PACK LAST boxes as close to the container door as possible. This was completely ignored - in fact, they tried to put our 150lb dining hutch LAST, thus obstructing our access to the boxes and making it impossible for us to get into the pod. When we asked them to reload, they got very upset and argued with us about it (though their arguments made no logical sense - see more on this below). To add insult to injury, we were charged for an extra hour of labor (for them not following our instructions in the first place). * Inefficient packing - We had informed the packers that our items needed to be packed very efficiently so that we could have a little bit of extra room to pack anything that might not fit in our car on the day we moved. I understand that they can't guarantee at the outset of a job that all our items would fit. However, that is NO excuse to pack items inefficiently and haphazardly. How? They shrink-wrapped EVERYTHING - including wrapping table legs so that no items could be placed between the legs in the POD. They completely shrink-wrapped an armchair and insisted that it could not get out the front door after trying every possible way to get it through. They told us, with absolute certainty, that the chair MUST have been assembled after it was brought into the house. Yet, all my wife and I had to do was remove the shrink wrap and we were able to get the chair out the door within seconds. Beyond the excessive shrink-wrapping, they did not place any items inside dresser drawers or use any negative space. All the while, they kept assuring us that there would be plenty of room available for additional items after they were done. By the time they were done, they had used up every possible inch of space in the POD. As such, we had to THROW OUT items (like camping equipment and tools) once we confirmed they wouldn't fit in the car and certainly wouldn't fit in the POD. * Unprofessional packing - We have used movers more than a dozen times in the past. I know how artwork should be packed. They did not pack our artwork professionally. Despite having purchased artwork boxes through Pack & Load Services, they just put some of our artwork in regular cardboard boxes - face-to-face! - with no paper or protective wrapping around each piece. * Exploitative pricing - In addition for the extra one-hour labor charge (for correcting their own mistakes), they used every single box on their supplies list and did NOT use the boxes we had purchased. Of course, we were charged for EVERY ONE of those boxes. Note that there are "packing fees" in the cost of their boxes. So, of course they said they magically used all boxes in order to be able to maximize their packing fee. In fact, there was a large art box left unused in the garage that we were actually charged for! Why wasn't this used for the artwork that was literally just thrown into a regular cardboard box? * No walk-through and unpacked items discovered in trash pile after they left - Everyone who has had packing services with a reputable company knows that there should be a walk-through at the end of the job. While they were in a rush to leave at the end of the job, I noticed a large foam mattress just sitting in the garage, and a large floor lamp in the living room, that were not packed. These items were crammed into the very top of the container and secured with rope (they did NOT use the ratchets we had purchased specifically for securing items). Beyond this, long after they left, we kept finding items in the house that weren't packed - the most shocking was a box of artwork left in the garbage pile in our garage. We almost threw it out by mistake! We tried calling Pack & Load Services MULTIPLE TIMES to try and come to a mutually beneficial solution to this problem. We finally reached a customer service manager (Christine) who, despite listening to our situation with what I can imagine to be feigned empathy, never called us back with a resolution as she repeatedly promised to get back to us within 24 hours with a resolution. And guess what? She never did. All we have to say is: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! read more

We recently moved from Houston to Illinois and used Pack & Load Services as our movers (they cam e recommended by PODS) although the moving crew (who was sub-contracted) were great the moving coordinator that was assigned to us from Pack & Load was not! We got hit with an extra charge during the move when the movers need to move our treadmill into the POD this was after the Pack & Load coordinator stated that there would be NO extra charge after we spoke and I told her that the treadmill had been taken partially apart by us prior to any moving of the object ....however once the treadmill was moved into the POD I got a call from the Pack & Load coordinator stating that an additional fee of $85.00 would be applied (bait-n-switch tactics in my book. In closing BUYER BEWARE I would have taken pictures of all large objects that would have been required to be moved and sent them to Pack & Load so that there would be no question of what type of objects that needed to be moved...........Ill never use this company again! read more

I hire Pack & Load Services to pack up my POD in Marina California for an in state move. The packers were very effeciant but when it came to unpacking my POD I found that some of my furniture pieces were scratched due to the lack of using the moving blankets that I provided. I also called to get an estimate to have Pack & Load Services to unload my POD and found that they were very over-priced and cancelled weeks before the targeted unload date. I noticed that they charged me a $99.00 fee for cancellation even though was told by the company that everything will be ok considering many days out from the booking. I called the company and was treated rude when I inquired about the charge to a point that the company representative argued with me and hung up. I plan to dispute this charge with my credit card company as giving ample notice this is shaddy just to make a buck. Buyer beware! read more

The load went well with the 16foot Pod but we ran out of room. So I ordered an 8ft Pod be delivered to finish up the load. About an 1 and 1/2 hours to complete. I was quoted $429 over the phone which iI thought was high. When I received the email invoice it read $529 which to me is outrageous. So I called Michael and told him to cancel and I went to Hire a Helper and they completed the job for $314. Pack and Load Services still billed my Credit Card for $529 which I am now disputing. The 16foot load cost me $629 and I was happy with that part of my service. I will not use them for unloading my Pods at the destination. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. 16FT container was not loaded properly. The entire load shifted from Chgo to Az, the panel door was stuck and had to be tilted the other way to open. Come to find out the furniture was not wrapped properly, not tied to stay in place. Upon unloading, dressers were dented, scratched, drawers had the face ripped off. Leather furniture scratched, torn, ripped. China cabinet window panes broken, dented. All of chairs, coffee table, end tables were dented and scratched. Damage total over $2500 estimated lowball and received $245. Read the fine print. Next was a problem with 7ft container, I unloaded entire contr with one dresser left for the crew to unload, I WAS CHARGED FULL PRICE OF $425 BECAUSE THE CREW said they UNLOADED IT. I would give negative 10 stars if possible! Pack and Load is a pathetic excuse for a company. I cannot comprehend why PODs would EVER recommend them. What an embarrassment to PODs. They sent packers/loaders from over 3 hours away from our home (and they arrived over 3 hours late), and they didn't show up with the necessary supplies to pack up our 4 bedroom house. I had to go out and purchase more the next day. The packers stole some of my supplies, used painter's tape to assemble large kitchen boxes for heavy dishes until I was aware and told them that was not appropriate, and needed babysitting the entire day. As a whole, they did not know what they were doing and as the day went on I was cringing and wishing I had the time to pack everything myself. The 4 men who came were unprofessional. One was on the phone having very negative personal conversations, they left drink containers and empty tape rolls all over our property, took many many breaks (our neighbors just thought we found some friends to come over because of how much they appeared to be "hanging out"), and the worst two parts are that they did not finish packing our house and they caused so much damage to our walkout basement door that the entire casing and door needed replaced. Pack and Load lied and told me the door would be fixed before the new owners moved in. In reality, they were only going to give us $25 to cover a $1200 job and would not provide any compensation until after our PODs were unpacked 1600 miles away and 2+ months later. We also had to rent another small POD because they packed a bunch of totes first that we had prepacked that were supposed to be loaded last, so we did not have the option to leave any of it behind. Through our bank and VISA, we challenged $1000 to cover some of the damages/incomplete work, and now Pack and Load is threatening to sue us for that money. We have paid $5000 for about 8 hours of work (minus all the breaks!) since we had to pay $1200 to replace the door they damaged and rent another small POD that would not have been necessary had they packed in the order they stated and filled up dead space. I was continuously telling the men they need to fill up all space in the PODs. It was difficult for me, as one person, to babysit 4 grown men who Pack and Load contracted with and we were paying $2800. I should have been able to sit with my feet up all day with the money they charged us. Pack and Load has terrible customer service, is an unethical company, and lied to me about how they operate. They broke other furniture due to negligent loading, but since Pack and Load is an unethical company and has zero liability built in, they are never responsible for anything. No wonder they don't care who they send out to do the jobs or if anything is damaged or broken! Please please please do not give this company one cent of your money. I have so much more I could say because it was one of the worst, most ridiculous experiences of my life (my husband had already moved 1600 miles to begin his new job and I had a 17 month old and a newborn), so I had to deal with all of this alone. One more epic part of the day: it was taking all 4 men to attempt to get a fridge out of our basement (my husband moved it there by himself by the way), and THEY DROPPED IT! AND, they didn't tell me. If I could give less than one star I would. The movers could not have treated our belongings with less care and while they were moving our stuff into the PODS did damage to the house we were selling. When we had the PODS delivered to our new house we were horrified at the amount of damage to our things and how poorly everything was packed. It was as though they delighted in putting boxes marked fragile on the bottom of the pile under heavier items. Very little furniture came out unscathed. Most of the wood furniture was scratched and gouged, my ironing board was destroyed and my washer and dryer dented. I have filed a claim with PODS, as they had recommended this company, but I doubt I will get back even a fraction of what it will take to repair the items. A total nightmare! read more

We used Pack and Load Services for Loading of a PODS unit in Chicago, and for unloading and move-in once we reached California. First, let me say that the team who packed the PODS unit in Chicago was fabulous. They did a good job and they did it very much in line with the estimate. That is where the positive experience with this company ends and the disappointment begins. Let me just start by saying, I have dates and corresponding billing receipts to prove that I was a paying customer, in good standing with Pack & Load Services, at both ends and throughout the process--from start to finish. Anyway, The destination-end of the job was one in which the Pack & Load Services team planned to unload the PODS unit into a moving truck (at the PODS facility (Milpitas, CA), then they were to drive to the destination and unload/move-in. This ultimately did happen, but not until after: 1) The Pack & Load team did not rent a large enough truck, (even though they were fully aware of the PODS unit dimensions), arrive to pack it and were not able to fit every thing into the truck. a) They left some of my property, unlocked in the PODS container, outside the PODS facility, and gave me the option to pay for them to make a second trip to pick-up the leftover pieces, or I could drive out there and do it myself... I chose to drive out in my car and pack it with the remaining pieces. When you read through the rest of this review, it will become clear why... 2) They used all of the estimated labor hours just to transfer our property from the PODS unit, into their (undersized) moving truck. This was incredibly frustrating, considering we new that it took less time for the Chicago team to pack the PODS unit--and they were moving our things out of our house, not just 10 feet (from PODS unit to moving truck) like the California team. 3) They did not fill up their moving truck with gas before they started the job. Instead, they called me after they had packed the truck to tell me that they were first going to stop and get gas before traveling to the move-in destination. I paid for this time--every minute of it. These guys were completely unprofessional. I mean, they clearly did not even consider whether this was in any way inappropriate or in bad form. 4) They added a total of three extra hours of labor, over their own estimate, because they wanted to make it a day-job--which it was not. Like I said before, we already knew how long it takes to move these things from between the truck and residence. These guys were so slow and lazy that I literally helped move things for over an hour in hopes that setting an example of how to do their jobs might make a difference...needless to say, it did not. 5) Furniture, (not damaged during the cross-country drive), arrived at our new residence with significant damage. This was reported to Pack & Load Services, and they did not care. There was no attempt to address this matter. 6) After learning that we were unhappy with our experience with Pack & Load services, a representative reached out by phone to offer a $100 refund (not even equal to one of the three extra hours of labor they charged us for) to resolve the matter with the understanding that I would 'not write a negative review.' I told the representative that, to ensure no negative review, the refund would need to be larger (equal to at least half of the charge for the three extra labor hours). He never got back to me, so I never did receive a refund, and now you get to read this review. read more

When I scheduled them to come out for a second day as I had more stuff to load, the crew they sent came totally unprepared. Chose this company to load a POD. Movers arrived hours late after the company's sales person promised we would have the movers all day resulting in loading the POS in the dark. Movers did not use the mattress pads we purchased and provided for most bulky furniture, did not cover the mattress with the cover we purchased and requested be used, and did such a poor job loading the POD that my wife and I had to unload and reload all of the contents to prevent breakage. Upon arrival, movers exited their vehicle in a cloud of smoke and smelled strongly of marijuana as soon as they entered the house. The result is little surprise. Save your money and some frustration by finding another company to trust with your move. This is an awful company. read more

Stay away from this company -- they do an awful job. If I could give zero stars I would. The loaders were lazy, incompetent, and just couldn't even be bothered to properly pack. We had many items damaged just due to sheer negligence (they didn't even use moving blankets on several of the furniture items!) My whole family ended up hauling boxes and furniture to the truck; I dare say we hauled more to the truck than the movers did! Even worse, they did such an awful job loading that we had to leave several items behind. When our stuff arrived, I was irate to find that there was a LOT, not just a little, but a LOT of empty space left in the mover. We could have easily fit all of our household items. Pack and Load Services just couldn't be bothered to properly do their job. They quickly, and promptly, took payment for horrible services rendered, but that's about the only thing they did quickly or with effort. Useless company. 0/10. I could not be happier than hiring this company to load our moving truck. We had to fit our townhouse into a 16' POD to move across the country, and needed some TETRIS experts to get it done. Do not believe the bait that the company puts out there, everything they says is a lie, and I guarantee that they would not keep their promises realized!!! 3 guys showed up to pack our POD. They said that since we didn't have too much stuff, they only would fill it half full. By the end of the loading, they had miscalculated and ran out of space. They didn't want to put the final things in saying there was no room. When we explained there was room in the front, they threw in the heavy furniture on top of boxes marked "fragile". We gave them moving blankets and lots of bubble wrap but they didn't use it all, leaving furniture on top of breakables. They carried a bed down the stairs, dropped it, and laughed. I tried talking to the "operations team and they asked for photos which I promptly sent". I have made 7 calls to them and they haven't responded. They simply tell me that the photos that they looked at from the crew look fine. I would find any other company for your move. This is what it looked like in the POD and after unloading. AVOID PACK AND LOAD SERVICES! Terrible customer service and they are a fraudulent company! I used Pack and Load services since PODS had listed them as the preferred mover. The estimate and billing component has been a terrible experience. Their estimate was 1900 and I was billed $2900. They billed me for 33 picture boxes and 15 were used. Multiple items were broken in the move. They showed up 5 hours late. My major problem with them is the difference between the estimate and the charges. After calling 6 or more times and emailing Pack and Load services, I got nowhere. I was told a manager was at lunch multiple times, or the manager was not "in". I finally spoke with Doug Prescott. He tells me he is VP of operations (if I heard him correctly). He also tells me that there is no one above him to speak with. After a 30 minute conversation, no resolution. There was a brief discussion about extra supplies. No one explained that this would result in $1000 in extra charges. Each picture box was $35 and 33 were supposedly used. I counted 17 and 2 or 3 of them were our own boxes. This resulted in the change in pricing. I accused Doug of fraud, but he claims that we signed off on the charges. Dour also tells me that his company has the highest rating on PODS. However, I do not see anywhere where one can leave a review. I would happy to give him a zero. Pack and load services was a huge disappointment, mostly from a management perspective and customer service perspective. Never called back, no response to my email, all very disappointing. I spoke to this company seeking movers to help load and unload two PODs. They gave me a quote that sounded reasonable. They would not let me know if the date I needed help was available until I submitted my credit card number. I submitted my credit card number. They set the date I needed. Then they changed my quote amount and wanted to charge me more. I asked them why via email (the rep. was always on another line when I called; he would not call me back)--he replied back via email with the same higher quote with no explanation. I decided to cancel because of lack of communication and the additional charges without explanation. THEN, they charged my credit card $75 for canceling, when they had not done anything! This was not explained when I first spoke to the company. This is their policy, which clearly states "the terms "Booked job" refers to a job agreed upon by both parties."
