Check everything and all your timing and paperwork properly before paying these people. - I was quoted one rate, including the drivers taking their lunch (break) and with a discount. - they finished the job 1 Hour and 15 minutes prior to original estimate and amounts. - When new invoice was recalculated they charged me with their lunch time and never received the quoted 10% off. - sent email to management office, no resolution other than the driver messed up the paperwork. - FAST FOWARD TO 48 hours after the move, to plug in my TV and find the screen shattered, as well as my lamp that was damaged and broke. - They totally "milked the clock" as well. During the load and unload they had 1 person doing 80% of ALL THE WORK, other than being time efficient. I had a short distance move with in st Pete at the end of April. The men who came to move me were nice, professional, friendly and kind. They had good personalities, they made the process easy and fast.. And one of movers is a Baltimore Ravens fan so that's a bonus! Definitely would recommend for local short distance moves. Also I had called a few companies and the Paul the office manager was very professional and friendly He confirmed with me a few times to make sure the move was all set. He was very responsive on email and answered any questions I had. It's important that local small businesses has a good office manager/ scheduler it makes the process more seamless and comfortable. 11/23/2019...After a successful first experience, we hired Let's Get Moving for another move. This was a very large move with an excessive amount of boxes. It took Matt and a 6 man crew 7 hours. Every employee was polite, asked where things went and never complained (only after going up 23 stairs for the 100th time ). Their pricing is competitive...you get what you pay for. "Let's Get Moving" A COMPANY BUILT ON PROFESSIONALISM A slogan far from reality. I used this company in 2010, and I had a great experience. However, my most recent experience, from beginning to end, was very, very disappointing. I was moving from a large two-story house with a lot of heavy furniture and a big kitchen filled with cabinets. After the manager of "Let's Get Moving" assessed the contents of my house, he determined that two days would be needed. The first day (Monday), two movers arrived to pack up dishes, books and the wine cabinet. They left around 4 PM with much packing still needed to be done. The second day (Tuesday) started with four movers arriving. Everything was very hectic, and I was told very early on that they would not have enough time to move the things that needed to be moved. "Let's Get Moving" worked until 10:00 PM, but, my new house was left very unorganized with furniture and boxes sitting in the garage and scattered throughout the house. My old house (distance 13.5 miles) was not empty at this time. In the process of trying to get things moved quickly, "LET'S GET MOVING" damaged a lot of furniture, they damaged pictures that were not wrapped correctly, and the roof and windows from a 58-year old historic car (Austin Healey) were not wrapped at all. They also left nicks and scrapes on the walls of my new house and scratches on the wood floors at both houses. On Wednesday, only one person showed up to finish the job. He said he could not move the remainder of items by himself and that there was NO ONE else who could help him. I called the manager on Thursday to ask when they would be able to finish the job. I was told that "Let's Get Moving" was too busy and they could finish the move in one week. I then had to hire a second moving company to get the furniture organized in my new house and to move and organize all of the heavy boxes that were left in my garage. We were promised that Matt, the owner of "Let's Get Moving," would to stop by to check out the damage. This still hasn't happened. "Let's Get Moving" says they are A COMPANY BUILT ON PROFESSIONALISM. They called when on their way. They arrived at 8:15 and move QUICK. I mean QUICK. We had a 3BR and moved into a 5BR. Bill and Thomas very very professional! I would use them again in a heart beat. I just used Let's Get Moving one week ago. My situation was a little different being that I already packed and stored a majority of my furniture and boxed up things in a truck previously to calling them. After getting that stuff done basically by myself with help from my friend and my sister in laws. I ended up hurting my foot and getting severely heat exhausted being on south Florida in the summer. I called them as a last minute solution and they set me up with an appointment that was supposed to be between 6-7 P.M. but they start charging from leaving their office and they were running late. I had them give me three people to do this simple move, the first step was they had to come to my old place and move out one rooms worth of things, but they showed up at 7:37 P.M. after speaking to a different person than I spoke to before who initially setup my move. The three people get there and start doing what they're supposed to do, then all of a sudden one of them has to leave, so now we're down to two people and the one person was so over heated he kept taking breaks every five minutes. Which meant my wife and I had to step in. After they took two and half hours to finish taking down the last of our things from the old place, we finally get to the new place where they are supposed to unload the truck that I packed initially. They complained about it for a half hour, but I told them that was a part of this move after all I did all of that work before they came, and I was I'm severe pain and exhaustion by that point. So they start unloading the truck, then out of nowhere the one guy tells me they have to have me pay before they start unloading into the new place. Uh oh here comes the worst part they start taking there sweet time with my association needing them to be done by 10:00 P.M. at the latest. They charge me for 7 hours and do the worst job bringing most stuff in, oh yeah the one that kept taking breaks decided to sit on my new chair with dirty pants that smelled like urine to say the least. Then left foot prints all over my bathroom wall. By the end of the night 2:20 A.M. my wife and I actually joked I'm and started to grab stuff because they were dragging. And finally as we were unpacking things TV's were broken completely, glassware, and other things were destroyed. Good luck filing a claim because they try to snub you even if you are nice to them. I'm sorry but this company is the worst, and I do not recommend anyone even bothering to try using them!!! read more

Absolutely DO NOT use this moving company from HELL. I have never had such an awful moving experience in my life, where not only did I not get my stuff in time and not even know if I was ever going to get it, but my life was put in danger. I worked with Ernie McNab, who should be in jail for his behavior. He represents this company, but apparently works for 12 other companies as well. I signed a contract specifically with Let's Get Moving (DOT # 2270761) for a direct door-to-door move from Florida to Baltimore with guaranteed delivery dates. When I was packed and picked up in Florida, movers from a different company, Men on the Move, came without explanation. The day of delivery in Baltimore, the movers never came and suddenly no one from Let's Get Moving were available to help. Lonnie, the lead mover from Men on the Move got in touch with me and gave me the information for my Maryland mover. This man called me to tell me I had to meet him at the Uhaul station to rent him a truck. When I got to the Uhaul station, in a very questionable part of the city, I was greeted by my "mover" and his wife- a team of people with nothing but a large backpack and a pack of cigarettes. They did not have moving supplies, a wallet, or driver's license. Apparently Let's Get Moving put an ad on Facebook saying, "need mover in Baltimore, we pay better than most." He wanted me to rent him a truck to drive, despite him not having a license to drive. I did not feel comfortable with this plan and when I called Let's Get Moving to tell them so, the man on the phone told me to just follow him in my car to pick up my stuff and to deliver it. I then spoke to Lonnie again, who said he was paid by Ernie just to get my stuff to Baltimore, not specifically to my apartment so his job is done. He eventually got me in contact with another mover who said that given it was Friday before a 3-day holiday weekend, I would have to wait until Wednesday to get my stuff, despite having a guaranteed delivery date for the previous Friday. Wednesday came and given that Ernie and Lonnie gave the mover the wrong size truck about my stuff, he had to go back to the facility a second time to get everything, causing further delays. I had to pay for several days in a hotel, including starting my first days of work at a hotel and my family had to take time off work to be there for the movers. Let's Get Moving did nothing to help resolve the problem and still has never contacted me. They continued to tell me that I was not booked with them, despite my contract being with them. Ernie was incredibly rude during this entire process, lying and telling me that I signed multiple other documents for other moving companies which is false as my only documents are with Let's Get Moving. He also told my mother she had to say "yes sir" to him when on the phone with him, clearly, he is a misogynist. Ernie should be thrown in jail and this entire company should be closed. read more

They moved apart of our house contents. A couple small things were damaged that they offered to pay for which was ridiculous because the damage didn't amount to much. What they refuse to take care of was a brand new $550 mattress that was pristine when it left Clearwater and wet when it arrived in Dunedin. They blamed it on us. They offered us $150. The mattress is not usable now because we are fearful of black mold as we have encountered that before. We are certain that the mattress was not wet when it left Clearwater. And if it was being that they don't accept responsibility for anything a value in our case we know they would have mentioned something about it so as not to be blamed for it. We are moving forward with a small claims court case. We will not recommend them to anybody read more

Matt took the time to explain to me why moving is so expensive now (price of diesel), why I got boxes of other people's stuff ion previous moves (the carrier combines a couple households into one truck, which they don't do) and even a couple ways that I could save some money. How many businesses take this amount of time to help out a potential customer?!? I was initially super stoked about this company. Two weeks later I've found deep cuts in my furniture and and a $80 TV mod gone from my Tv. I don't think they stole it by any means, the guys were very nice and professional. However, it had to have been broken off or removed because it would have been found in my small tile living room. The furniture cuts make me pretty mad, but luckily they are in cheaper ikea furniture. I would not say the money was worth it anymore. The crew was very nice though. read more

When my national carrier was not able to conduct my move, let's get moving stepped in and did the job. I am grateful for that however, it went downhill from there. LGM was recommended by the national carrier, who could no longer complete my move, the day before the move. The LGM owner seemed so nice and professional. I was so thankful to find someone to complete my move on short notice. We were moving from St Pete to Orlando and I knew we would have several months of storage. When we moved to Orlando, we had a delay which meant we would have several months of storage. The manager of the company called and said we would have to pay higher rates than agreed for storage because we had extended storage longer than we expected. I understood that logic and paid a much higher monthly rate than what was agreed. The day before our belongings were to be delivered, he called to let me know that we would not only be paying a second additional fee for extending the storage but would also be paying a fee for having weight higher than what was expected. Remember, that I did not weigh the items, I received a quote from them after an on-site review and had a binding contract. When the trucks were outside of my house, the manager said that my belongings would only be delivered if we pay the "additional weight" plus the second rate increase on monthly storage. At this point, you have no choice but to pay what they say and get your belongings delivered. I have never been so disappointed in a moving company. I have moved interstate several times and have often heard about these shenanigans but have never experienced them. The men who conducted the actual moving of my things into the truck and out of the truck did a very nice job however, the company is not to be trusted. A binding contract means nothing to them. Your things will be held in ransom unless you pay significantly higher fees than agreed. Run away! read more

I would never use or recommend this company in the future. I chose this company because they claimed to be fully licensed, bonded and insured. During the move on 11/28/18 with "Let's Get Moving" I was told that I needed to sign their contract in order to begin the move. As I read through the contract the crew leader told me that I needed to initial in front of the words "I accept minimal reimbursement for lost or stolen goods" or they would not be able to do the job. I asked about the next line item which stated " I accept reimbursement equal to REPLACEMENT COST of lost or damaged goods. I declare a total replacement value of$ ____ or a minimum of $4.00 per pound times the weight or constructive weight of the shipment, whichever is greater. I asked "Shouldn't I fill that part out as well?" and he said, "No you are not supposed to fill that part out." This seemed shady to me but what can a person do at the last minute when they need to move out that same day or week? Most people do not have time to call around to other companies with hope that they can move your things at the last minute. I believe the company knows this and uses it to their advantage. The crew leader then assured me that if anything happened to any of my high value items, the company would be responsible and reimburse me at a more reasonable value than 60 cents per pound minimum. I needed to be moved out on that day so I decided to go ahead and allow them to move my things but I wrote on the document "I was told that I have to sign this or work would not get done." In an email that I received from the manager, Paul on 11/11/18,it stated "Once loaded your team will head to your new location and once there they will unload, place, unwrap and reassemble all items 100% to your satisfaction." It also said " to save time anything that is smaller then a microwave should be in a box and all boxes should be sealed and labeled, so the team will know which room to place all boxes in at the new location." I didn't learn until later that the company would not cover the cost of items that they did not box themselves. I realized after the team members left, that they did not replace the supports under my bed when they set it up. I lifted the mattress and box springs and realized that they never even screwed the base to the stand. I could have been injured if the bed collapsed. I attempted to turn on my TV for the first time at the new house. When I did, I could see that the entire top of the screen had been cracked. It seemed evident that the crack was the result of the movers putting too much weight on the TV box, especially since the TV had been packed in its original box and surrounding Styrofoam. I sent an email to the manager (Paul Cote) informing him of the damage to the TV. I sent him images of the damage as well as a copy of the receipt. Mr. Cote stated that the company will not be responsible for the damage because they did not pack the TV. He also informed me that I am not eligible to receive anything greater than 60 cents per pound because I did not list an amount on the contract. I told him how the crew leader told me not to put anything on that line. He refused to respond to my comments and never paid anything for the damage. Move Date: 2/23/16...This was the best local move experience I've had in a long time. I've moved more than 35 times in my life, including cross country and up/down the eastern seaboard, and I found this group of guys (Thompson, Robert and Dennis) to be very professional and extremely quick. Due to elevator issues at my storage site, the move went longer than it was quoted, but it was no fault of this crew and the overage was picked up by the storage facility. Had there been no issues, LGM would have finished in under the original quote. They are also expert packers, and I desperately wish I had used them last year, instead of another company that was recommended to me. They would have saved me $150/mo in a second storage unit guaranteed! I don't EVER want to move again, but if I do, I will definitely use these guys! read more

Our movers, Justin and Dennis, we're professional, courteous, and efficient during our office move. They carefully wrapped the furniture and other pieces. When we realized a large executive desk wouldn't fit the way we planned in the new office, they helped us move it again to a better place without any complaints. Horrible!!!!! Completely unprofessional! My first experience with the company and manager (Paul) was quite refreshing....until moving day. They gave me a window between 12-2 then told me they couldn't be there till AFTER 3pm!!! And I had new residents moving into my place at 1pm. All they gave me were excuses (manager and movers that called me) and didn't even try to remedy the situation. I will NOT recommend this company to my college friends whom are moving into homes and would've brought them some business and every person I know that is moving, I will recommend someone else. We'd give Ron and Aaron 6 stars if we could! Not only were they on time on a Sunday morning, they were early (but yes, they called first to give us a 15-minute warning.) They took great care of our belongings, wrapping everything carefully and handling everything like it was their own. Even the king-sized mattress, which seemed like an impossibility, made it up the stairs. We felt 100% comfortable with them in our house at all times and would readily refer them to a friend planning to move. Our only bit of constructive feedback - the estimate from the company came in way too low so we ended up spending about twice as much on our move as we expected. Worth it, but for someone on a tight budget the estimated cost vs. actual cost would have caused a strain. read more

Used Let's Get Moving a few months ago. They quoted me at around $480 for 4 hours with 2 people. After about an hour, they said they were tired and wanted to call a third person to help (which means it would cost me more money). I said ok. After the third guy comes, one of the movers decided to sit in the truck and play on his phone the rest of the time. It took 7+ hours and $1300+ in the end. I asked for a discount and had to fight for $50 off. Horrible experience. Also, the movers tried to act like they didn't know about the Yelp deal. read more

Paul the owner communicates well, is responsive and helpful and called to confirm the day before move. Scott and Shane moved me. They were very experienced, knowledgeable, personable and really funny. They made the expected unpleasantry of moving actually speed by and they were quite entertaining. They worked exceptionally well together as a team and tackled it all with great care. I've had movers complain or waste time or break a lot with chit chat that eats away at the clock unnecessarily. Not these guys. They wouldn't even break to eat even though I offered to grab them lunch. They were very considerate and had great positive and friendly attitudes. Not only were they efficient with moving the heavy bulky furniture and packing the truck meticulously and tightly and unloading quickly but I also had nothing broken. Bonus! They remembered which furniture was in which rooms so they didn't have to ask me a lot of questions during unloading and were especially proactive with setting up the furniture in a way that was best to get other furniture in the room and out-of-the-way for assembly. They shrink wrapped my furniture and removed breakable pieces to ensure it was protected and unscrewed then reassembled a shelf from my desk to ensure it was not damaged during the move. They removed a light case from ceiling near front door so it wouldn't get broken with the big pieces going out the door and installed it back before leaving. Their estimate quote was extremely reasonable and competitive compared to the dozen other companies I called. It was on point and they actually finished early! read more

I was pretty disappointed in the total experience. The day started out well and the guys were nice enough and they worked hard without breaks. However, towards the end of the day they seemed more interested in finishing early than in finishing the move. For example, they drove off in the truck leaving my grill, a mirror and a rug still in the house. I quickly called them and they turned around and came back. In the rush to load the truck they only loaded the grill and left the large decorative mirror and a 9x11 rug. Unfortunately, I didn't notice at the time as I was in a rush to leave and follow them to the new house to let them in. They also left more than 10 emply water bottles both inside and outside of both the old and the new houses. I think they should have picked those up and put them in the trash! I also loaned one of the guys, Shane, an iPhone charger so that he could charge his phone. When I reminded him that I needed it back he said, "it's in the truck" and I never received it. These guys finished the job an hour earlier than the estimate. I just feel that if they had not been in such a rush they would have gotten all my items, and had time to pick up their trash. I left two messages for Paul in the office regarding this and didn't get a call back and I never received my cell phone charger. Big disappointment overall! read more
