Fun! Babies! Local! Oooh! Ahh!
Pacifier is a local baby boutique. Yes, I said baby boutique, non-ironically. While the big-box baby stores of yore may have satisfied the less discerning of our newest humans in previous years, it is a new era for infants in the southwest metro area. No longer shall they question if their teether is made of sustainably sourced wood, or if their baby bottle is free of BPA. And parents can find comfort knowing their children are dressed in only the local best: Many a Minnesota onesie!
All sarcasm aside, Pacifier is a great boutique with clothing and accessories for infants and up. The largest size for children's clothing I saw was 2T, but the accessories could be used for years after (place mats, children's tableware, stuffed animals and books) and the gear for new moms (think nursing bras and other things of that ilk) makes this a hot spot for all things "spawn". I originally came here because they recently started carrying a particular brand of diaper bag, but stayed because of the other gear. They carry many locally made products, with an emphasis on quality and sustainability of the company manufacturing them.
Don't be fooled: It is expensive, but no more so than other children's clothing stores or department stores. While many of the diaper bags reached into the triple digits, there was a wonderful assortment of items to fit almost any budget. They do have a loyalty program, where you earn in-store credit after a particular dollar amount spent.
If you're in the area, you should stop in. For any new mother, I think this is a fun spot to browse and kill some time. I made a few impulse purchases, but I'm very glad I came in here and gave it a look around! read more
