Walked in excited, ambience is great, staff nice. Left afraid we would be violently ill from salmonella. The $30 chicken was RAW. We're approached by the manager asking what was going on with the chicken? Response- hope you'd know. Everyone knows even handling raw chicken puts one at risk. Offered something else. No. The fried rice was super salty and better at Yummy Chinese. They should have not charged for the meal in totality. Will be contacting the health department. Who doesn't know not to serve RAW CHICKEN? I'd give negative five if I could. read more

I still love you Pacifico and will keep coming in for the vibe and for the best drinks in Biddeford, but the food has been super inconsistent the last few times we've been in. The NY Strip has always been a go-to and I could drink their chimichurri, but the temp on the steak always seems to be over. In my three recent experiences, medium was pretty close to well, medium rare was medium well, and finally rare was more like medium, which is how we'll probably order it from now on. We usually like tuna tartar but found it a little fishy here. The pollo was delicious, but the sides were a couple of roasted potatoes and a couple small veg. At $25 you would surely be hungry after, if it was all you had to eat. The paella prawns were really overcooked. The pulpo has been hit or miss for the same reasons. You can never go wrong with the queso dorado, and I love the fruit guacamole. It's fantastic that instead of just throwing some chips on there, they include fried plantains and some other goodies. We'll definitely keep going, but it's all about the drinks and a couple snacks for us until they hit their stride on the food. read more

We decided to try Pacifico to treat ourselves to a romantic evening out. We checked in with the host and asked to be seated at the bar. We like eating at the bar and learning about interesting drinks the bartenders make. The ambiance was upscale and the restaurant was fairly full. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately. We ordered the following: * Champinones - Sauted mushrooms in a delicious eggplant sauce. Our appetizer. * New York Strip Churrasco with Chimichurri Fries. My partner's main course. * Chupe Peruano - A Peruvian seafood stew with Yuca Cheese and poached egg. My main course. Absolutely excellent. Lots of shrimp, mussels, fish and scallops. Yummy. With our drinks our bill came to around $125 without tip. A little pricey but if you're looking for well prepared meals in an exquisite setting this is for you. A couple of drawbacks: 1) Service was a little slow at first but improved as the evening went on. Friendly bartenders. 2) Snow removal needs to improve outside restaurant. Not medium well. It was rubbery. The fries were cold and the other dishes in our party were so small. For the prices we expected it to be mouth watering but it fell flat. This restaurant is AMAZING! Everything about it was wonderful., we were staying in Biddeford for 3 nights last week and ate there our second night. We returned the next night because we enjoyed it so much. The first night we ate off the taco and small plate section. The flavors, creativity, and presentation were so good. The second night we ate from the big plate plate menu which was just as good. And the cocktails- different and so enjoyable. After saying all this the high point was our server, Nicole. She was warm, informative, and attentive. We only wish we lived close so we could become regulars. Pacifico is a fantastic addition to the Saco/Biddeford area, nestled in the mills adjacent to the train station, there is parking available, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. The interior has a spacious dining room and bar with full view of the kitchen. Ambiance is the name of the game with beautiful colors, plants, and accents. Our server Jonathan was excellent at providing recommendations, checking on us without being intrusive, and providing quick and thoughtful service throughout our meal, which brings me to... THE FOOD! We shared three pequeños (small plates) and one grande (entrée sized) between four of us and it was a perfect amount of food. Each one had unique flavor pairings with attention to the garnish, and flavors that burst in your mouth, like fresh mango, roasted eggplant and mushrooms, and perfectly cooked rice with crispy edges. We got dessert as it was a special occasion and it was very well done, with just the right vanilla bean in the panna cotta, topped with toasted almonds and mango drizzle. We had cocktails and beer, and the selection was well-paired and Jonathan was knowledgeable about how the flavors would go with our food. The food could be timed to come out together, or as prepared, which is what we did. It was such a lovely experience all around and I will definitely go back, whether for a fancy night with friends and family like this was, or just to have a drink and a casual bite. If I'm hungry, I don't want to drive around in a packed parking lot for a parking space and then play hid-n-seek trying to figure out where I'm going in a large building. We were excited to try Pacifico but were sadly disappointed! I have NEVER been to a restaurant, spend $80 + and depart Still being hungry! The scallop ceviche was literally ONE scallop, thinly sliced! I've had ceviche before, I love ceviche, but this was so wrong. You pay a lot for one highly over-salted art statement. If you want a weeks' worth of salt in one setting, then this might be the place for you. If you like places that are all showy but lack substance, then this might be the place for you. If you want local food that is delicious and artistic, try Elda or Magnus on the Water. I feel like Pacifico is trying but it is a swing and a miss. Wow. One of the best meals I've had in quite a while. Pacifico exceeded my expectations. The venue and attentive service were excellent but the food was exceptional! Gorgeous, warm, tropical vibes hug you while pulsating (but not annoying) Latin tunes ripple around creating an all about effect of what Latinos do best: food, fun, and drinks. I'm originally from Maine and moved back a few weeks ago. Only rating one star because I can't rate it 0. Decided to go out as a family. It was my husband and our 16 month old. I was excited when we walked in as the place has beautiful decor and I was also informed it was kid friendly. This is where the disappointed came in. Not kid friendly at all. The kid friendly part is that they offer a high chair. There were no cups for my little one. Nothing with a lid. Neither was there a kid's menu (but that's besides the point as my son is quite young and eats off my plate). I also must add that I'm also Hispanic so I guess my expectations were a little higher given that the menu offered several Spanish/Hispanic dishes. Fast forward. I order a steak medium well and was very clear I wanted very little pink. Well my steak was still bleeding. I requested if it could be put back on the grill. When the steak comes back it is still cold, and still raw. I planned on sharing this with my son as he loves steak, couldn't even do that. I asked the server if it could be removed from my check. The manager tells me she cannot take it off my check but offered me %50 off the meal. Mind you, a meal that wasn't prepared right and I didn't even eat. I was quite surprised that the manager could care less. No customer service skills whatsoever. Wasn't even apologetic. Nor gave the option to order anything else. My family and I will not be coming back. And just like the review below. I also ordered a side of rice which was swimming in scallions and tasted as though it was reheated in the microwave. The server was nice but the manager (basically the face of the restaurant) clearly has no people or customer service skills. A waste of $70 dollars, we ended up ordering Ottos when we got home. read more

Pacifico is located in Saco, ME across from the train station in the Mill. The interior of the restaurant was very night life vibed and pretty! The service was excellent and the wait staff and hostess were friendly! As for the food i enjoyed my apps and the main course was plentiful (pork belly) and the skin was cooked nice and crispy! Chicerrones?! My partner had a seafood dish and that was yummy too! We did have drinks but I think it was a bit more booze than flavor but to be fair I don't drink much other than sweet drinks and I may be out the game. Still 10/10 read more

This place is a bit hard to find - being in a mill some distance from the parking lot, but it's worth the effort. Prices were on the high side for the area, but commensurate with the quality of the food. Portions were appropriate all round. We started with the octopus appetizer, and were served a single fairly large tentacle (guac and plantains on the side). I can honestly say, as a fan of octopus, that this was the finest we've been served. It was tender, flavorful, and they've crisped the suckers, so there was a hint of crunch along with a tender interior. I wish I'd thought to take a photo of this - it was spectacular. The other appetizers were good, but not outstanding. Halibut cerviche - the fish could have been diced smaller and there was some silverskin, but the flavor was lovely. The person who ordered the roasted mushrooms with eggplant sauce truly enjoyed it, but to me, while it was savory, the microgreens added a slightly odd green pepper note that I didn't appreciate. As for main courses, the duck confit with yucca foam and asparagus was excellent. We definitely appreciated that they'd gone to the trouble to peel the asparagus, and 'yucca foam' is a good way to lighten up that intensely starchy and often gooey root. The steak was cooked rare perfectly to request, and had a lovely grill taste to the exterior, as well as a delicious and flavorful garnish - it was as good as a strip steak is going to get, and generous to boot. The fries were lovely. Tres Leches cake was good enough, though we've had better. Service was excellent, there was plenty of room, and the place was open and attractive. The music was too loud for conversation when we came in. As we had a partially deaf person with us, we asked for the music to be turned down so that she could hear, and it promptly was - and with a smile - and it stayed down. There were a couple of minor annoyances - the tap water was intensely over-floridated (a problem with the local city water supply no doubt) forcing us to purchase fairly expensive imported sparkling mineral water - NO decent flat water option was available. It took too long to get our food - we were there almost 2 hours over 3 courses, and were really wishing to get going. So, not perfect but DEFINITELY good enough to try several more times. read more

The food was to die for! So much flavor and freshness!! It's a smaller space- not as big as the pictures look. I wouldn't recommend bringing kids. Perfect for a date night. My husband's steak was undercooked- it was rare to raw, but they fixed it and gave a discount on the meal, so it made up for it. Mistakes happen! I got the pork shank special and it was the bomb!! What a great addition to the local food options in the area which are already eclectic and varied. Pacifico is in a great location in one of the refurbished mill buildings and offers free and convenient parking at the train station upper lot. I really like the dining room with includes a beautiful bar and an open look at the bustling kitchen. Food and drinks are truly unique and interesting. For those of us that are not super familiar with Latin inspired food it is an experience in great flavor combinations, interesting ingredients, and new food adventures. They have ceviche (3 options) on the menu which is a favorite of mine and they do it very well with an ample portions, great presentation and combinations. Dessert is also a treat. I have to say maybe my favorite thing about Pacifico is Jonathan, the best waiter ever. He has been the server at our table twice to date and he brings a great energy, superior understanding of the cuisine and makes the overall experience an over the top night out. read more

What an amazing surprise in Saco! Being from Miami, it's rare to come across authentic food from Latin America. This place is authentic, hip, and well located. What a refreshing surprise to eat in a Latin restaurant after months of takeout and same old same old. Just the fact that we were actually eating OUT might have made me a little overly enthusiastic about Pacifico, but I thought they did everything right. The space felt very COVID safe and the atmosphere is very cool with it's high ceiling open kitchen concept, keeping much of the old Mill feel while at the same time also feeling very modern. The menu is limited but with a good variety of small, medium and large plates. Every single dish sounds appealing and we were able to sample several thanks to the portion sizes. One of the specials that night was grilled octopus, which was so tender and flavorful; the steak with chimichurri sauce was also excellent. Another outstanding dish was the shrimp and scallop ceviche with avocado, such an interesting combination of herbs and citrus. Speaking of great flavor, you will want to try the fried cheese with garlic jam! Pacifico has a small but nice wine and beer list and also offers several interesting cocktails. Normally when I drink white wine I will have a Pinot Grigio or a blend from California or France, but having only Argentinian wines to choose from I tried Jelu Torrentes for the first time and was instantly a fan. Now to dessert: chocolate lava cake with whipped cream studded with tiny bits of very dark, bitter chocolate... holy smokes! That and some french press coffee was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. A word about the service- our waitperson, Johnathan, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and took great care of us. A bonus was having another waitperson stop by our table when our drinks were empty, to inquire if we needed a refill. We had already ordered more but just the fact that she noticed and went out of her way to see if we needed anything is service above and beyond.
