Time to find a new cab company. I've had to call the past three times because my cab was late. In fact, this past trip, I called the night before for a 5:15am pickup. The dispatcher said they were busy, so asked if 5am was okay. I reluctantly agreed and he repeated that I would have be ready at exactly 5am. I was. At 5:15 I called and was told it would be "2 minutes." About 8 minutes later, I finally got picked up. read more

I keep forgetting this is the cab company not to call. My taxi was 15 min. late. I called at 10 min. late to find out where they were. The dispatcher said, "he's on your street and will be right there". That was a flat out lie since my street is two short blocks and it took the guy 5 more min. to show up. I expected at least an apology from the driver but no. Also, when I told him I had a flat rate from the dispatcher he said how much?...$30 bucks? I responded no, $25. Then he responded, well, with my tip...(hint, hint). So he tried to inflate the flat rate, which hasn't changed from my hood in years, plus his expectation of a tip was too much. My one experience with Eureka Yellow Cab was horrible. The taxi was over 30 minutes late, and their dispatcher claimed at one point that their car had already picked me up -- despite the fact that I was still at my hotel. Once in the taxi, our driver claimed not to know how to get to one of the most well-known restaurants in Half Moon Bay. He proceeded to get us "lost," which is another way of saying he was running up our meter. Finally at our destination and with $10.75 on the clock, the driver took my $20 bill and didn't offer any change. When prompted, he claimed that there was a $20 minimum fee, but he could not explain where that policy was posted or how I was supposed to know about it. I offered to pay what was on the meter plus a reasonable tip, and he got flustered and gave back my money. Our awful cab ride ended up being free. This cabbie was clearly attempting to take advantage of out of town travelers. His bizarre negotiating style ended up costing him a decent fare. Beware. read more

It is obvious someone has a personal vendetta against this young man and his company. The service has been great ( 4 times to the airport); all early morning. The cabbie has been intelligent, engaging and quick. The price is in line with standard pricing. Give this man your business. read more

Are they the greatest cab company in the world? It's really subjectve. They get me from my house to the airport, they show up on time, and that's all I can really ask for. They do offer a fixed rate, just gently remind them before you get into the cab. read more

Be aware, they say they offer $24 flat rate from Pacifica (from my specific location) to SFO, but they don't. The only positive was that their cabbie picked me up right on time (7am). read more

It was okay. I live in Manor district and wanted to go to South Linden Drive in South San Francisco. I called to ask for a quote and the man told me it would be around $25. He said they will pick me up in 15 minutes and was on time. When we reached destination he asked for exactly $25 I actually think the guy who picked up the phone was actually the driver himself. Maybe this is a very small company and only 1 or 2 people run the company But it was okay. read more

They overcharged me and took the longest route possible to get to SFO, I only live 5 miles from the airport, it shouldn't cost $35 to get there. There is also no posted rates anywhere in the cab. read more

I use them a lot between El Granada and SFO. They have always accepted the flat rate ($50), although they subcontract a lot of pickups to other cab companies that aren't thrilled with the flat rate. They are generally on time for pickups in EG and average about 15 minutes later than their phone estimate for SFO pickups. I would recommend them overall. read more

Absolutely unreliable! Horrible experience! Eureka Yellow Cab did not arrive for my airport pick up at the pre-schedueled time (5:45 am) and never called to say they were on their way. When I called them to ask where they were, they said they were on their way, then, disconnected me. I waited 10 more minutes. They failed to answer their phone again (I called back 3 more times) and never showed up. I barely made it to the airport in time - I had to take my car. I called later that day and asked their owner to call me - they never bothered to call back to apologize, explain, or reimburse me. Taxi service is god awful in Pacifica. Some one please start a reliable cab company here. The man who answers the phone, the "dispatcher," doesn't write down my address and so four times in the last 2 months he has gotten in wrong and sent a cab to the wrong address. For the love of god would repeating my address back to me to ensure accuracy and scribbling it down really be that time consuming? ! Today was the worst experience yet. The man shows up and seemed high on drugs or had been drinking, or something.. at 930 am I swear to god. He shows up, in a crappy, old, and slow minivan , whose doors are almost impossible for me to slide back and forth. The driver argued with me that he was in front of my house, but wasn't Every time I gave him a piece of information, he was dismissive and didn't listen , hmm is he a misogynist , male middle eastern foreigner? Quite possibly. but that's just my opinion . And in addition I had to repeat every single thing I said because he did not put on his listening ears today. Very rude rude divers. I am never going to use this cab company ever again. After being an hour later than what the dispatcher told me, I ended up being threatened to be left off on highway 1 after the furious driver rudely accused me of giving him the wrong directions. There is one decent driver who seemed to be a good guy, but one man doesn't reflect this crappy cab company. Like I said previously I will never be using this company again. I don't understand the negative reviews. We have used them several times from Pacifica to SFO. They have always been on time (in one case 10 min. early) and always kept to the flat rate price. It is now $29 from the back of Park Pacifica but with the cost of gas who is surprised by that. It is much more reasonable than the super shuttle we used to take and you don't have to be picked up inordinately early to make your flight. The drivers have always been friendly and conversational and the trips pleasant. read more

Don't support poor service. Set up a ride to SFO 2 days befroe my trip. Called the day of to confirm and they said I was all set. When the cab didn't show up I called and was told they would be there shortly. 3 more calls and over an hour later 2 kids show up stoned ( at least get rid of the pot smoke before you show up and not have it waffling out of the car when I open the door). Missed my flight and a day of vacation. No apologies by the company. read more

I never really had a problem with them for service from Linda Mar to the Airport until a week ago when I called and was told that ALL The drivers were having dinner and wouldn't be available to pick up us up for a minimum of 30 minutes, no guarantee on the time. The dispatcher was very rude and clearly just didn't want the business. Their referral for Serra Cab was also a horrible experience after dealing with the friendly dispatcher there. The driver showed up late, and nearly turned toward Half Moon Bay instead of the direction of the airport and was paying more attention to his cell phone GPS than the road, driving exceedingly fast for not knowing where he was going in foggy conditions (he later told me that it was his first day on the job and he had only been in the country for a few weeks). I asked to put the phone down and I would give him the directions from the backseat. I have never been so stressed out for a simple 15 minute ride to the airport in all my life.
