I unfortunately had a horrible injury during the bike tour and broke my ankle in 3 places, so didn't fully take in every aspect of the tour, but I experienced enough to give it 5 stars. Especially considering the fact that I was transported 30 or so minutes away from the vineyards we were about to visit & Elie went out of his way to come pick me up from the hospital after I was discharged so I could rejoin my group and take advantage of the remainder of the tour. If that's NOT great customer service...I don't know what is!‍ If Napa/San Francisco are on your list of destinations to visit...definitely look him up!!

He arrived a little early to our hotel, always a good sign. As we headed to Carmel, Sammy gave us a quick history of Monterey and Carmel that was filled with little tidbits that we didn't know despite coming to the area for decades. Our tour consisted of three restaurants for small plates paired with wine and three tasting rooms for short flights. Everything was amazing. The tour never felt rushed, even though I was trying before the tour to figure out how Sammy was going to fit everything in. This was the first time we'd done a tour like this and it definitely won't be the last. We look forward to touring with Sammy again.

We reserved it a month in advance for 1:30-5:30pm and were instructed to pay in full via Zelle to hold the reservation. The week of the event, I followed up with Reese to confirm everything was set. He replied that we were "all set." On the day of the party, all of the girls had arrived by 1:15pm and were excitedly waiting by the window for the limo. By 1:37pm, there was still no limo and no communication from Reese. My daughter kept asking, "Is the limo coming?" and was trying hard not to cry. At 2:02pm, after waiting over 30 minutes with zero updates, we decided to move to Plan B and drive the girls ourselves. Just as we were walking out the door, a limo finally pulled up. The driver explained there had been car trouble and that he had been called in last minute as a backup. Unfortunately, the limo itself was in very poor condition: no AC, some windows didn't work, no music system at all (we had to grab a portable speaker), and a broken seatbelt alarm that dinged nonstop the entire ride. Most disappointing of all, Reese never contacted us afterward -- no apology, no explanation, and no partial refund. Completely ghosted. This was an incredibly stressful experience on an important day for our daughter, and I truly hope no other family has to deal with this on their child's birthday (or any event).

At Sams had a delicious shrimp dish with crunchy toast. It was paired with a JCB Rose from Province that Renee brought She also gave us some lavender cheese which was a perfect complement to the wine. Went next door to Luma Blue and were served eggplant parmigiana paired with a bold Tuscan Red. Strolled to the cafe owned by the same family and got coffee with cannoli. To top it off we had Meyers port from Anderson Valley with a crunchy cookie (also from the cafe) at the top of Tiburon. The driver left us stranded at the bottom and we watched him come and go. So we paid $20 for an Uber. The driver was 29 minutes late to Saratoga Inn. It was muggy so we sat by the window in the lobby looking out the entire time. We were outside at the advertised pick up time 5:45 pm. The moment we saw the limo bus, which was hella late, we walked to the already open lobby doors and the driver literally didn't stop. He swung around, slowed down for 1/2 second and sped off! Humiliated and embarrased, we RAN after the bus yelling and waving our arms. We had official AXS Mountain Winery shuttle bus tickets! That means Urban Worldwide had our names and knew we needed picking up! Mind you we briefed the desk clerk and two hotel workers that we are on the limo bus and that we need to get on it. At the top of the mountain, we had our Uber driver drop us off to Urban Worldwide shuttle and the driver said he was there earlier which was untrue. He also showed us a text message that he thought was "proof" that we weren't there. This ruined part of the night. We were at the Inn at 5:30 PM ready to jump on the bus. It was creepy weird that we saw him drive up and drive off: It was like he purposely planned to abandon us. We asked him if he could please wait for us after the venue. We were literally at his mercy. He says, "You have 15 minutes!" Not polite. By the way, the website says we have 20 minutes to get on the shuttle. Anyway, afterward, I twisted my ankle and the driver did in fact wait and got us back to the Inn just fine. He didn't acknowledge wrong doing. I've rented a lot of limos and gotten a lot of rideshares. I've never experienced a driver who literally purposefully left us like that. The Saratoga Inn workers were witnesses and we discussed the situation with them. They washed their hands of it saying, "We have NOTHING to do with that limo bus. No connection." Urban Worldwide gets one star for the driver being totally cool on the way down. I don't know if I even want my money back for leaving us stranded during pick up: The company scares me and creeps me out.
