Went to Pacifica Pizza yesterday and had a great experience! The service was super nice and welcoming, the ambiance was cozy and comfortable, and the pizza was really good--fresh, tasty, and cooked just right. Definitely coming back!

I'm sorry but I was looking forward to trying this pizza and although it looks really good it was average at best. Definitely not a pizza I need to go back for but the service was great though.

I am writing this review, deeply disappointed that the legacy of Jonathan and Mike or even the founding owner began is now in the hands of someone who clearly lacks their customer service focus. I never give single star reviews, ever. Wednesday afternoon around 4, I opened my DoorDash app, went to my order history, selected reorder, and hit send. I'm a creature of habit when it comes to food. My pizza arrived on time, but when I opened the box, I had a plain cheese pizza. Surprised I called the store, and spoke to the young man who answered. He said the new owner made my order but was away and said to call back. I gave it 5 mins then called back. I've been in a service related field of one sort or another for years, my Dasher app is up to date and my phone number is accurate. In my professional role I handle disappointed customers and always look for ways to defuse the situation. When I called back the owner answered, and I could tell he recognized the caller ID. The owner proceeded to tell me the customization field where toppings should be entered was empty. The screen below is what I sent over. He asked me if I wanted to see a screenshot... in other words I was at fault and got what I got. He had the opportunity to call or text me for clarification if there was an error on his end of this transaction, instead he decided what I should get and wasn't remorseful in the slightest. When I attempted to share that I live in our downtown, and that my family and I are regular customers, he cut me off and said 'good for you' shocked I started to say I work downtown and we send a decent amount of business to the store, again he cut me off and said 'good for you'. Never having experienced anything so blatantly disrespectful I finally lost my temper, called him something I probably shouldn't and hung up. All of this, when none of it was necessary since my profile has my contact information and any confusion on his part was easily remedied with a phone call or text message. This owner had said in another public space that calling his customers wasn't his responsibility, that it isn't his job to be a mind reader, and 'why would I apologize when I did nothing wrong'. Ordering in person or over the phone may be an entirely seamless experience particularly with the kids who work there. But don't use your DoorDash app, and don't think the attitude I received isn't coming from a place of innate nature. Most businesses in downtown Martinez appreciate their customers, just not this business with this current owner.

Kinda of a weird setup here when you go in, menu is not that good inside. It's up high and far away. No mention of prices or lunch special on inside menu hanging up high. Two long tables when you go inside. The one employee who was there was in the far back so I moved forward and also it was hard to read the menus. Then he told me to get back and that I was in the staff area. Whoops, my bad. Maybe if staff came up to the front to greet me I wouldn't have been confused where to stand instead of yelling from the back. Anyways no big deal. It was my first time going here and I was unfamiliar. I ordered the lunch special which is a small pizza with two toppings of your choice and a canned drink. No slices here. Which is lame but it's the only pizza place in this area that I know of so you take what you can get. Price was $12 for the lunch combo. The staff member told me it would take 15 to 20 minutes to make my pizza. I thought, that seems kind of long. Is the oven cold or what? I came back in exactly 15 minutes and it was just coming out of the oven. It's not really a cool place to be inside of, I didn't really feel comfortable in there. The window is kinda dirty and there's no music or tv. I was given my pizza in a box. I didn't want a box but I got one. So much for the environment. I ate inside. The table was unusually high for the chair height so it was awkward inside there. No napkins, chili peppers, oregano or Parmesan cheese to be located inside. No forks either. Very spartan. Finished my pizza looking out the greasy window. Pizza was good but not great. Your standard. Didn't see a trash can anywhere inside so just left the empty box there. I felt kinda sad for the employee working there even though he wasn't exactly warm and friendly. Seems kind of a sad place. He was just staring at his phone when I left, didn't say goodbye or anything even though I was the only customer. Who can blame him, I only tipped $1.50. 4 stars is fair or maybe even generous for this review. It's pizza.... It's made to order..... you can eat it..... it's not exciting.

Did a yelp search for New York Pizza close to me. Reviewed photos & chose this one because it looked like it would taste like San Francisco in my old neighborhood growing up (Greko Romano, now closed). Did not disappoint! Fresh & tasty toppings and a light flavorful sauce that let the toppings shine. The Kona had nice smoky Canadian bacon and fresh bacon bits, not dried out like the chain restaurants. The Price Buster was well balanced and enjoyed every topping. Crust was good and not too doughy, good crunch & flavor. Only con to me is the price, but wouldn't mind it for this pizza Shoot me a message if you've got another spot besides San Francisco for a good NY Pizza!

First time eating here, it was alright. We got the large Price Buster Pizza, basically a combo. The toppings were very fresh, the dough was thick but airy, the sauce was very mild and not very much of it. Would I come back in a pinch? Sure. Would I come back if I had other options? No. btw most of the restaurants don't open until 4pm so plan accordingly! No seating inside 3 tables & 3 chairs outside Plan on sidewalk picnic, car picnic, or vacant lot across the street picnic, or take home picnic. We chose the car picnic!

Tried Pacifica pizza for the first time tonight! We ordered a large pepperoni/linguisa and a medium combo. Both were delicious! The staff were a fun and polite crew. Due to the pizzas taking a little longer than expected, they even knocked off a couple bucks on the total! Total surprise. All in all, a great experience. We will be back. Thank you!

I informed her that we were 1st timers and she said to take our time. When she returned, she asked if we had any questions, my wife asked about the pizzas and she gave a rundown of the most popular pizzas and a very detained description of each. We decided on the Calamari appetizer, the Nectarine Salad and Fungo Pizza to split. Calamari and Shrimp 5/5, lightly batter, extremely tasty Nectarine Salad 5/5, she had it split for us, Great flavor, dressing was perfect and the goat cheese was nice and creamy. Fungo Pizza 4/5, it was sliced in 1/4 so they were huge. We split them in two. The center was a little soft and chewy, outside crust was slightly charred and perfect. It had a minimal kick from the Italian Chilies. We drizzled the marinara from the calamari on top which cut down the heat. We had plenty of pizza to bring home. Lastly we order the Pistachio Cake on Special and the Limoncello cake to go to. Both were delicious and we couldn't decide on a favorite. It was a perfect Lunch/Dinner Date with my wife

I work a few blocks away and I'm always in the mood for pasta. So I order ahead while I'm closing up shop and come to pick it up! The pasta is amazing! The penne is my personal favorite but the pesto and lasagna rule so hard! The baked raviolis are also an amazing appetizer!!! I've gotten food here probably 6 times in the last month! Walking in, the shop was small and cozy, but it quickly felt crowded. There were several teenagers squeezing past customers, getting into people's personal space, grabbing drinks without paying, and heading back outside. We figured this must be a common occurrence since no one seemed concerned. We ordered two drinks and a small pizza for a little over $31. The food came out hot and fresh, although the toppings slid right off the pizza because it was so hot. Clearly we didn't wait. Unfortunately, just before finishing our meal, we found a hair on the last slice. With our luck, it had to be the last piece. I brought it to the gentleman in the back and tried to keep the mood light. I jokingly said, "Yeah, looks like someone in the back might be losing their hair." Instead of apologizing, he slowly walked away and simply said, "I'll get you next time." There was no apology, no effort to get our name or number, and no attempt to make the situation right. Why would we trust there to be a "next time" when this was the perfect opportunity to show good customer service? A sincere apology should have been the bare minimum. Since none was offered, I asked if they could comp the pizza, which is a common way restaurants handle situations like this. Looking back, I wonder if my joke was taken personally because the two men working appeared to be balding. Oopsy. If so, that wasn't my intention, I was simply trying to lighten an awkward situation. He said he couldn't refund the pizza but offered to make us a new one. We waited while they remade it, and just before we left, we finally received a simple apology. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What matters is how they're handled. Unfortunately, this experience left us disappointed, and because of how it was addressed, we won't be returning. We genuinely wanted to support a local business, but customer service matters just as much as the food. Please do better.
