The food is excellent, but they deliver your food from the kitchen upstairs, so I usually find the service spotty. Also, the seating is open, so it can be hard to find a place to sit. However, the view and the good food balance the mediocre service. Combine good food with a good view and all for less than $10-12 per person, and we have the perfect lunch place. Salmon sandwich is excellent The turkey, avocado bacon sandwich is good too Most patrons do not know this, but you can park underneath the restaurant for free. Good Food. Great Atmosphere and ocean view. Very reasonably priced. I have only been here for breakfast, but have enjoyed it every time. The food is simple, but good. The coffee and OJ are fresh and the Bloody Marys are very good. You can bring your dog, sit, eat breakfast and look at the ocean. It gives you a feeling kind of like you are on vacation. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because sitting is limited and sometimes you have to wait to find a table. read more

I visited this spot to get some work done on a Saturday. When ordering, I asked whether they had internet, and they said yes. After being served I was unable to establish a wifi connection. When I asked about the internet again, I was told, "It doesn't really work". Now, the guy serving me was really sweet and this review does not have anything to do with him or his attitude. This is one of my favorite places to go on a sunny day for breakfast or lunch. Should be great for bringing my dog there when I finally get one as I've seen others do it many times. It's only a matter of time before my kids talk me in to one. Love the bird's eye view of the street below and it's location is perfect for a quick stroll though the plaza afterwards or down to the beach to walk off the meal. Staff is polite and friendly, as well as attentive. And it should be considering the prices. Plan to spend about $15 minimum for breakfast, drink, tax and tip. Let me say that the location is what this place has going for it - right in Del Mar with a view, which is what you pay for. The food was just average. I was sorely disappointed with my pastrami sandwich, which for nearly $10 came with two thin pastrami slices, two slices of provolone and four pickle chips on the bread (even Vons deli gives more for 1/3 the cost). The yam chips on the side were the best part of the meal. I left still hungry, wondering if they had just run out of pastrami and cheese (could hardly taste actual pastrami). I have eaten here a couple times now and it is a great place to go on a nice day. Both times I have gotten the eggs benedict which comes on a biscuit instead of English muffin. The first time I ate here my food was perfect! Last time however, my boyfriend and I ended up waiting a long time for our food to come out and by the time I got mine it wasn't hot anymore which was a bummer. HORRIBLE!!!! I got the southwest chicken salad and it came drenched with red dressing that tasted like ketchup and mayo the chicken was hard and dry.. Possibly from a few days ago and the bread looked moldy!! I had to take it back and settled for Caesar salad and French fries. Fries were ok but looked like half of the plate had been eaten and the lettuce on the salad was yellow not green like romaine should be. I'm very disappointed and still hungry. I love the spiced salmon hash with egg whites. The view is relaxing and the perfect way to start any morning! This is our favorite weekend lunch stop. The guys who are always here at lunch are really great, accommodating, and professional, and I love the wraps. We really miss the Cuban wrap and wish they would bring it back, but there's plenty more to like. Wine or mimosas, a wrap, and ocean view for a great price. Can't beat it. read more

The Pacifica Breeze is one of our favorite spots in Del Mar. All the tables are outside, but many covered from the direct sun. The food is really great and I especially like the turkey burgers. The menu has something for everyone and you will enjoy the view with your food. Great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Some dishes come from the upstairs kitchen so if you're in a rush ask which items can be prepared more quickly in their downstairs kitchen. Bring your dog too. read more

Waited outside for 15 minutes for a table. Sat down and they told us we missed the cut-off for breakast by 10 minutes. They didn't care and were fine with us leaving. Too bad. This place has everything. ..great food and a view of the Pacific Ocean. Today I tried the short rib hash. It was a great choice. The short ribs, potatoes and poached eggs are a masterpiece. However I would prefer that the poached eggs a bit more soft and liquid. The staff here works so hard to move the food from the upstairs kitchen to the patio. This is one of my favorite (if not my favorite) place to eat in all of San Diego. Where else can you go and get reasonably priced, amazingly delicious food, a chill atmosphere, and a beach view? I go here every time I'm near Del Mar, and will continue to bring family and friends back to try it out. My only complaint is on the weekends they stop serving breakfast at noon. Really not a good breakfast yesterday. Eggs were awful and undercooked. I ordered a juice and a coffee, didn't come with food and when I went back to the counter to enquire I was told that it was up to me to collect the drinks from the counter at the side so they had been sat there for ten minutes.....WHAT?? I placed a large sandwich order from this restaurant recently when I was having a get together at my home and didn't have the time to prepare food. I was really happy with the portion sizes and quality of the subs. I ordered a variety of types and each one was prepared excellently, and the proportions of meat to vegetable was excellent. I enjoyed my pastrami panini although the pastrami was not the best quality and lacked flavor and texture. the pasta salad was great but a very tiny portion. went here for the first time the other day and ive lived in San diego my whole life! this place is really cool! i plan on coming again and bringing friends maybe if they are visiting from out of town or something! the seating is 1st come first serve. you walk up and find a table and grab a menu then go up to the cash register to order. they give you a number and then bring the food to your table. easy concept! the view on the patio is amazing. you can see the ocean and they have cool tables and umbrellas! the food was good and pricey but then again it is ritzy del mar! i got the tuna melt on sourdough with white cheddar and tomato and it was delish. and a good size. it filled me up. the yam chips were on point as well. my friend got the breeze salad no feta sub avocado. the salad looked pretty meager tho. and they charged 2 bucks for the avocado even tho she didnt get the feta??? doesn't seem right. my other friend got a wrap sandwich of some sort. it looked good. the mimosas were good but too expensive in my opinion. 7 bucks each. i would have preferred to get a whole bottle instead!!! but u cant. only individually. no. im not an alcoholic anywho its not a full service restaurant so service is 5 stars or anything. when the bus boy came to clear out plates he dropped a knife almost falling right on my foot (NBD) and we asked him for a togo box and he never came back with one. I've been coming to Pacifica Breeze for years for brunch. It's the perfect spot to meet friends -- parking is easy, the view is gorgeous and the breakfast and lunch items are delicious.
