She toured the venue with us, answering all of our questions the day of and afterwards. She was quick to respond and very friendly throughout the entire time. Shoutout to Tiffany as well, who was able to help us out on the day of the event, and helped to bar tend. The venue itself is also such a fun space, with fun accents, such as the live plant wall and the fun tap handles. We created a Spotify playlist that we were able to play using the venue speakers, and we even used the projector screen that they had to play our Nintendo Switch games during the welcome party. Street parking was plentiful and our guests ended up loving the venue as well. We would highly recommend the Woodshed for anyone looking for a fun space to host a gathering or party!

As someone who can definitely be Type A, I knew I needed a planner I could fully trust so that when the wedding day came, I could actually let go and enjoy it. Mikaela gave me exactly that. We had a pretty stacked timeline with multiple vendors, dancers, and a lot of moving pieces, and Mikaela was a true professional through all of it. Everything ran so smoothly, we somehow packed everything in, and I never once felt like I needed to worry about what was happening behind the scenes. Being around rescued animals and knowing that our event fee was going to support them felt really good and aligned with our values and the Ranch had what we needed. Shera is experienced with doing weddings and knew had to direct them and had recommendations of vendors as well although I brought in my own mostly. This is a unique spot in the San Diego area and it was certainly very affordable at the time given what we got and the prices that things go for in San Diego for a 70 person wedding. It's definitely worth checking out.

We attended a wedding this past weekend and it was a pretty easy drive to get there. The parking appears a bit tricky, but there are two entrances if you miss the first one haha. The second entrance is located right before the freeway entrance so it's conveniently located to nearby highways. The walkway from the parking lot leads you up some stairs and an incline slope that opens up to the green space where the ceremony was held. The grass is turf so if you wear heels, you shouldn't sink directly into it haha. The reception was held in a tented space with open air and the surrounding garden area had a few sections for guests to sprawl out. There was a water fountain, audio guestbook in a telephone booth, a photo booth van and some benches around the perimeter. The meal they served there was pretty good. Not sure if catering is directly tied to the venue, but we got the chicken and steak. Here are the descriptions of each: California Artisan Chicken Picatta Marinated chicken breast with lemon, herbs, caper beurre blanc. Chef's Harvest Roast USDA Choice Beef stuffed with roasted garlic , infused with Fresh Rosemary & Thyme, Rubbed with Whole Grain Mustard, and topped with a Mediterranean Style Olive Au Jus Sauce. Pretty solid option. The only thing I would caution is bring bug spray. Because the ceremony and reception was open air, I was eaten alive. Not sure if it's the humidity during that time, but I had multiple bug bites after I was here, lol. Other than that, the grounds are well maintained and space was intimate without feeling small.

The Optimist Club of Vista is a great venue to host your event. We booked the club for our niece's…read moreHS grad party. The property is absolutely stunning, with well maintained grounds, ample parking, a spacious, air conditioned bridal suite with mirrored walls, clothes racks, and an ironing board. The suite even has its own bathroom. The venue has a decent sized dance floor along with enough room inside to seat close to 200 guests. The bathrooms were clean and had multiple stalls to accommodate the ladies. There is also a huge kitchen with a walk in frig that is available for use as part of your rental. We had approximately 250+ guests attend our event and there was plenty of space in the back lawn area for over flow seating. We used the outdoor patio area to set up 4 buffet lines of food. 2 lines for our catered meal, 1 line for kids meal, and 1 line for our cultural foods. The patio area also had ample room for us to place our photo booth there. The back grass and patio area looks spectacular at night with the market lights to add to the festive ambiance. The grounds were large enough to house an adult sized jumper that helped to keep our younger guests entertained. The grass area still had plenty of available space for a corn hole spot, our marquee letter signs and our taco guy we hired to end our night's festivities. Shannon is the property manager, and she is a true gem. She worked tirelessly with us to help obtain all our vendor COIs and was extremely kind to allow us to come the day before our party to drop off our drinks and many party supplies. Anything we needed, Shannon was there to help resolve. She is friendly and professional, with a sense of humor to boot. We received sooo many compliments from our family and friends about how beautiful the venue was. Of course, anyone who dealt with Shannon adored her and her down to earth vibe! We loved that we could bring our own food to the venue without being tied to a set list of food vendors. The bar area was also spacious and the bartender kept the libations flowing all night long. The Optimist Club has 3 belly tables with linens that came with rental of the venue. These worked out fabulously for our guests wanting to hang out by the bar and smoking area. We were looking for a venue that felt like an elevated backyard wedding, and this perfectly fit the bill. The flow of the event space from where the ceremony is held, to the cocktail hour, to the reception to the dance floor felt like everywhere had a specific place and purpose, but allowed for guests to still have places to talk outside of just sitting at the if they didn't want to be on the dance floor. It still felt like everyone was in the mix of the night, even if they were playing some provided games like corn hole, or sitting above the reception area and viewing everyone else from above. We got so many compliments of the space as well as the food! Personal Touch dining is included in the venue fee, which was such a relief because they had the best food options and amazing staff! I didn't have to worry about anything involving catering because everything was handled for us. Perfect location near grocery stores, pharmacy and the mall. You can have a small or large event here. They include chairs and tables and a moveable bar. There is a kitchen and plenty of place for at least 150 people. You can have a DJ, a Photo Booth and all kinds of extras for an extra charge. I didn't take pics inside because they were getting ready for an event and I didn't want the little one in the pic. There was also a kids room separate from the main room. Nice place. The lady who showed me around was very nice. Have people decorate well and the place can be magical. It's definitely a contender.
