Anyone considering using this company? One word: DON'T!!!…read more (Or you will wish you hadn't.) I am from Texas, recently came here and started searching for a new place. Started talking to the manager assistant, Bob Morgan, regarding a home coming open beginning of August. I explained to him that I would like to view the home, take pictures to send to my boyfriend, (who is active Navy, and currently away) so that he and I could make a join decision. He assured me that was no problem, that the house wasn't even done yet. When I looked at the home, it still had a long way to go on repairs, but I told him I would let him know something on Monday. (That was on a Friday.) On the following Monday, I try to call, with no answer. I emailed him telling him I wanted the place and to please let me know what to do to secure it. No response. Wanting to make sure I had everything in order, I drove to his office. Upon seeing me he is instantly rude, and acts like he doesn't want to tell me how to get the home, and finally tells me, "well, someone else might want it and you haven't turned your paperwork in." Although he didn't give me any paperwork prior, I asked him what I needed to do, and if I apply the same day as someone else, how do they determine who gets the house. He tells me, and I quote: "it's whoever turns their paperwork in to me first." So, I say ok I'll fill it out right now. He tells me ok, but that I have to pay the application fee before he can approve us. I pull out a checkbook to write him a check for the fees and he proceeds to tell me that it would be much better if I went and got cash, because if I wrote a check or gave him a money order and the other person gave cash, they would be processed first, and he could not run the papers without the fee. At this point I leave to go to the ATM. I pull out the cash and come RIGHT back, maybe being gone 10 minutes. I walk in, he takes my papers and says ok but you have another person ahead of you, so I will have to let you know. I'm startled, and say, the other people you spoke of came in the few minutes I was gone? And he turns to look at a guy sitting at his desk on the computer and says "well that's him right there, he's working on his application now." What??! He had my signed papers, along with my fee IN HAND, and the other guy is still working on his... So mine were in fact, turned in first. He specifically told me whoever turns them In first. He tells me if the guy changes his mind he will let me know. I walk out in tears, feeling like we were treated very unfairly, and rudely on top of that. I speak to my boyfriend and we decide to withdrawal our application so I call them back to tell them do not run it, I'll be back for my money. He then tells me that NO money has changed hands yet, so the other guy doesn't technically have it, if I want to wait and see. He tells me the other guy has to go to the bank for his app fee and to get a deposit. Now I'm really angry. So let me get this right. You couldn't process my papers without the fee, and it needed to be cash. I go get the cash and this other person is still filling out their papers, but they get first option AND he didn't have his fee in hand? I told them no thank you, and I went back to get my money. I walk in and there's Bob, who just points to the desk on the side and said "he has it." I walk over to the desk where the Realtor is, who looks at me but doesn't even acknowledge me. I see the papers and money on his desk so I just pick it up and turn to walk out, at which point he sarcastically says "thank you!" In my opinion, uncalled for and very unprofessional. If I could rate them negative stars I would. Furthermore, I don't wish to do business with a company that treats me- or anyone else- in this manner.

I'm very happy with Simon!!!…read more Renting is stressful and I was looking for a PM that put me at ease. I talked to the references Simon provided, and he soon became my top contender. He offered to be my singular source of contact and to secure a superior quality of renter for my 'home'. He is very experienced and soft spoken but strong armed. I took his recommendations and got the whole house painted, got new carpeting, resurfaced cabinets and pressure washed etc. I had a renter within 2 months of this process. (The only thing is Nobel Real Estate wouldn't lower the 'expenditure without approval' to below $850, so... ) I am really pleased with Simon.

He followed up with me for several days, and I started working with his broker. Unfortunately, his broker was not very professional. I had already put down $300,000 and owned another home that was fully paid off and worth about $550,000. Yet the broker told me I needed to put down $600,000 to buy a home priced at $850,000 . After that, I went to another broker and got pre-approved almost immediately. I qualified for the home without any problems. All I can say is that they were not very professional. In my opinion, Simon seemed focused only on money. I felt that he was trying to earn commissions from both sides. When I decided not to use his broker, my offer was not accepted, and I was told that another offer had been accepted instead. That was my experience, and it left me feeling that my interests were not the priority.

After doing my research we decided to go with Good Life and I am so glad we did they made the process very easy. Malissa Martinez was my onboarding point of contact and I have to say she was very attentive, responsive and professional. She answered all my questions and kept me informed the next steps in the process. Emails came in daily with the updates that had been completed at my home in order to be put on the market. After that my property managment team consisted of Andrei Lechert- Kelly, Gerald Medalla and CJ Flores. Again, more professionalism with this team. Once the property was ready and we agreed on the rental price my home was listed on a Wednesday and by that weekend, Saturday, we have the home rented. It's been 5 months and I have no complaints. They have really taken care of everything and I haven't had to worry about a thing since. Highly recommend Good Life. 10 outta 10.

UPDATE 9/22: Unfortunately, the pattern described in my original review has continued…read more The washer identified as needing repair before my lease began was never successfully repaired despite four service appointments. After nearly two months without a usable washer, I ultimately replaced it myself rather than continue waiting. Good Life provided a $500 credit for the prolonged loss of use and my time dealing with the issue. The refrigerator remained unable to properly cool for two weeks, despite two unsuccessful repair appointments. After continued delays, I escalated the issue to Good Life's CEO and ultimately found a technician myself who was willing to come out over the weekend. A part was replaced and the refrigerator eventually began cooling. I was told compensation for the two weeks without functioning refrigeration would be discussed after the repair, but I have not received that compensation. On September 11, I reported that the A/C was not cooling. Later that day, water began coming through a ceiling vent onto the upstairs bathroom floor. I contacted the emergency maintenance line regarding the active leak and received no response. I cleaned up the water and placed a pan beneath the vent to contain the continuing leak. An HVAC technician came the following morning and found a frozen coil and failed safety switch. I was told further work required management approval. As of September 22, the A/C/water-leak repair has still not been completed. What has been most frustrating is not that things have broken. It is the repeated delays, unsuccessful service appointments, lack of follow-through, and the amount of responsibility I have had to assume myself to get significant maintenance problems addressed. My concerns also extend to a property owner's perspective. An active water leak has the potential to cause additional property damage, yet my emergency maintenance report received no response and the repair remains incomplete. I would expect a property management company to respond promptly to significant maintenance issues, coordinate the appropriate professionals, and follow through until repairs are actually completed. Unfortunately, my experience over the first three months of this tenancy has shown a recurring pattern of significant maintenance issues requiring repeated follow-up and escalation before reaching resolution--if they reach resolution at all.
