Does plumbing/septic ever start to get unwieldy at a GOOD time? Not in my experience. It's always the wrong time to suspect you need to service your septic. Anyhoo, I suspected my septic was ready to be serviced. I had only been told 'you'll know when you need it' and nothing else. Smelled awful smell in bathroom. Decided not to wait till I KNEW-knew. These folks called me back stat, and scheduled a check-up visit next day. They explained that, in the event I didn't need service, I'd pay $150 for the check. If I indeed needed service, no service fee - and they set expectations around anticipated service cost. We chatted and I got great information about how to try to locate my clean out(I was able to send pictures to the nice lady via text), the estimated time a system would last between services based on size of house/estimated tank size and occupancy, and I knew I was in good hands. As I am new to the home, I could only guess how long it had been based on last remodel date. Then I discovered the awful smell was coming from a hydroponic bathroom plant that was rotting. (Guess I'm telling the story of my idiocy rn, to avoid leaving y'all in suspense.) Tossed the plant, smell cleared, and I called back to cancel with great embarrassment. They didn't laugh me off the island, and I now know who I'll 100% be calling when I do need a septic service. I'm still not entirely sure how I'll know when it's due... 'Oh, you'll know' sounds scary and to avoid drain back up I'm happy to pay a service fee to alleviate anxiety the next time I suspect septic afoul.

They also installed a new pump for me under the house. Everything was working. I thought they would be my plumbers for life. One day I woke up in the new pump was leaking, and I couldn't find them. I learned that they had closed due to some problems. What a shame because they were wonderful and right in my own backyard location. Luckily, I was able to get a hold of someone that had helped them out once before and he arrived and the problem was minor, just a little hose that come loose. He repaired it, and I was back in business. But Drainpipe and their employees are a great loss to our neighborhood. So sorry you're gone.

I had a small house built last year and it was so difficult trying to get them to come complete it. They would call the day before telling me that I didn't have what needed to be done for them to complete the appointment. However I did, and they begrudgingly came. I truly feel like they were trying to cancel the appointment to do a more lucrative job, I almost had to beg them to complete the job. They installed a solar water heater for me. They told me it wouldn't work because I wouldn't have enough sun. I live in honokaa.. there is plenty of sun! Just like they said, it didn't work. But not for lack of sun. It wasn't installed properly. I called them to ask them to come look at it because it wasn't working at all and was told it was because I didn't have enough sun yet again. I had solar electric installed on my house, and the guy who installed that told me exactly what they had done wrong (he used to work for the company that manufactures them). I called the office with him there and he explained to them what was wrong. They sent a guy out to fix it and he changed the dipstick, which made it work slightly better. But I still can't get a full bath tub of water. I had the guy who installed the solar out again and asked him about it and he looked at it more in depth. They did lots more wrong beside the dipstick, which he thinks is probably not long enough anyway, even after they changed it once. I am going to be paying him to fix it for me, because I can't trust them to come out and fix it properly without first arguing with me. I really wish I had read reviews on this company before I hired them. They came recommended by my builders, but I don't think they're recommending them anymore. Sounds like I'm not the only client they're giving the run around to.

He was helpful and taught us a lot about our septic while solving our problem quickly and efficiently. He also charged what I think was a reasonable fee for a weekend emergency - $450 total to pump and unclog and show us a few areas that had settled and needed to be adjusted. Another service we called was going to charge $700 to pump or $450 to "machine clean the line" and $100/hour to dig to find the opening plus an extra $150 for 'weekend emergency'. Lucky for us, we found Dickie who only charged $450, was very friendly and helpful and didn't charge extra for us to "help"/watch/learn. I highly recommend Aloha Pumping and Dickie Perreira (Owner).

He returned my call within the hour, provided me with a ballpark quote for my system size (access, content, location, and others factors are cost variables). I figured we'd set date before I have guests over in the next week. Nope - he said he'd be over same day if I'm ready. I cleared shrubs, removed lid covers and made it easy to het to the covers (he would have done all that). He and Vinny showed up, clean, professional, happy, and just overall solid. They pumped, cleaned, and put everything back in a relatively short period of time. Wastewater is wastewater but it doesn't have to be an unpleasant experience - call Blessed Wastewater Solutions. I've worked with many wastewater contractors and Blessed Wastewater Solutions is one of the good guys.
