It was good to find another good spot to hang out with space and not too crowded. If I have plan meeting with my friend in the future I will bring them to meet here that will be wonderful.

Ambiance: the space is pretty cute and cozy, However I saw a sign that say there is a patio (couldn't go because of the weather) so I will let you discover that. Service: I came during what I believe is peak hours (12:30pm) to my surprise there was only 2 people serving people making my wait relatively longer than expected. I also noticed there was only one pan for crepes which could explain the wait time. therefore adding another one woulb nice. Food: I ordered the spicy chicken crepe and to my surprise, the portion was big and filling. I could taste the chicken though it was slightly bland and less cheese than anticipated. However when you mix everything in one crepe, the outcome is delicious. Would definitely visit again and try some other options.

I got the taro latte and Cathie got just a regular latte. I won for a change because the taro was the better latte. Not too sweet but distinctive taro flavor/sweetness gives it a uniquely delicious flavor profile. Cathie still enjoyed hers but she was obviously jealous of mine so I let her take some sips of mine. If we come back to PP for donuts, we will definitely be back here as well!!

As I'm really in that part of Brooklyn, I decided to get the medium size, which is up to two flavors, and it was $7.95 plus tax. My flavors of choice were the saffron and the pistachio, as it has been a while since I have had that combination. In general, the gelato is of good quality, being soft but not too much, and it wasn't overly sweet. The pistachio on top was good with some pieces inside for a bit of crunch, though I would say in terms of other fancy gelatos, it's a bit worse than Venchi, as the pistachio flavor isn't as strong. The saffron was the better of the two, being floral enough without being overbearing. Not much else to say here, as I only had those flavors, but I hope they do well.

It has a cozy atmosphere that feels personal rather than cramped. The owner was incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. We tried the Sultana shakshuka and the Mediterranean chicken sandwich, both were outstanding. The Sultana was rich and flavorful. The bread that came with it was just perfect as well. The Mediterranean chicken sandwich was fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying. It came in a great portion size. Left us feeling very full. You can tell the food is made with real care. I had high hopes ordering from this place since it has excellent ratings, and as a longtime egg…read moresando lover, I figured it was a safe bet. Unfortunately, the egg salad sandwich let me down. The filling was sparse, with barely any chopped egg to speak of; most of it was just yolk spread thinly across the bread. It felt more like an afterthought than a proper egg salad sandwich, and for the price, that's hard to overlook. On the drinks side, my latte and my partner's flat white were decent, I'd give them a 6/10. Nothing groundbreaking, but solid enough. The real highlight was the caramel miso they threw in, which was a pleasant surprise and earned them back a star. Maybe I caught them on an off day with the sandwich, but I'd want to see more consistency before I'd rush back. Fingers crossed it was just slim pickings.

The strawberry part was more like a jam, so it was a little sweet for me, but overall a decent drink. I would have preferred crushed strawberries, though. Later, I came back for dinner at the tail end of the day. I was leaning towards the beef curry bowl because I like bolder flavors, but the karaage chicken is a hit here, so I ordered that in bowl form. First off, all the contents were very fresh! The chicken pieces were crisp and tasty. The burdock on the side had a smoky umami that was quite nice - it was the best of the 3 sides - and the spicy mayo was on point. Still, I think I would have gone with the curry given my taste buds, but overall the karaage bowl is a solid choice. Lastly, while the container looks small in circumference, it is taller than other takeout containers, so the portions are really about the same as any other restaurant. The nori fries were subtle in flavor but the nori still made its presence known. All in all it was a great experience. The owners are very nice, also. I will go back for the curry and yakiniku, too.
