I called on a Friday evening about a tree that was about 30ft and growing where it would eventually wreck my retaining wall. Craig was about to come out on Monday and shared he'd be able to remove the cottonwood on Thursday, but if his schedule opened up he could do it sooner. He was able to do it the next day. Him and his business partner came out exactly on time and proceeded to cut down the tree with amazing skill. They removed all of the pieces and referred me to Wolberts for chemical application the m to stop the tree from regrowing since I live on a slope which prevented the stump from being grounded. Pacific Northwest Tree Services took down a huge willow for us this week. It was way too big and way too close to 3 houses. I was very worried about damage to our house or the neighbors. I called Craig last week and he was over the next day to do an assessment/quote. The price was reasonable and included removal of the wood and cleanup. I have had a few interactions with Craig over the last few years. One time I had him come look at a fruit tree and asked about trimming, and he told me I'd be better off just lopping the suckers myself and letting it fill in for a year or two before hiring them to trim it. An arborist who tells you how to take care of a tree, instead of taking your money? Fantastic! More recently, I had Craig come and look at a new property, with wildly overgrown landscaping including large trees. Craig spent a lot of time with me walking around, looking at trees, answering my questions, and providing suggestions. Ultimately he told me that the job was too big for his crew, and gave some suggestions for alternatives. Again-- Craig seems more interested in doing things the right way than in just cashing a check. Very pleased with the service, timing, price and clean up. Craig took down a large ash tree and ground the stump. If I didn't now there used to be a tree in that spot, I wouldn't be able to tell. He also pruned branches of my neighbors maples that were hanging in my yard. We sent them a message Sunday evening (in a bit of a panic) when we noticed our big ash tree had cracked and was ready to fall onto our house, Craig responded and came out within the hour to give us an estimate. They were able to come out the next day and remove the branches that were a hazard! They cleaned up after themselves and let us keep the wood to use as firewood! Craig was able to make it out right away (within hours) to take a look at a tree in our yard that had literally split in half, with most of it leaning well over into our neighbor's yard. No doubt it needed to be removed, but I thought it might be several days or a week before Craig and his crew would be able to make it out. Not only did they get out the very next day, but the place was left looking immaculate. You could never tell they had removed a large tree -- no sawdust, no leaves, no mess. They really took time to clean up afterwards, they way you'd hope a tree service would operate (but rarely does). Craig is a truly stand up guy. I reached out to three tree service companies via the Yelp quote system and he was the first to respond. He came out early on a Sunday morning to give me a quote, and provided me with two different stump grinding options (a lower cost option and a higher cost option). I chose the lower cost option. A few days later he called back and said he was going to be in the neighborhood and could do the higher cost option at a discount since the machine would already be so close by. He showed up promptly, did the work in record time, and made sure I was pleased with how it turned out before taking any payment. He even ground down a small third stump for free since he was "already there anyway." Such a great guy! I called three companies to quote this tree removal and email or phone me with the quote as I am an out of state landlord. Of the three, one went to the house but never got back to me; one went to the house and left a handwritten quote with the tenant; Craig phoned me with the quote and was the only one that actually did what I asked. Craig went to work within a week to get the job scheduled and completed. The day he said he would have the tree removed, he did. The tenant said that he was very fast and friendly. There was no damage to the fence which was very close to the tree. He did the clean-up afterwards that he said he would do. Again, he did exactly what was asked and that he said he would do!!
