Quick response initially, but got a little tangled with some questions. When I called to confirm they were showing up when they said, apparently wasn't on their calendar b/c I hadn't paid the 50% down. True that, my bad - but I hadn't ever received the final bid! However, that was quickly rectified - got bid to me, I paid, the team showed up, worked hard, and we're very happy with the outcome. I would use again, but would be more proactive about not waiting for them to follow-through on the paperwork. To their credit, they DID show up, did the job well, though had to return for a second day to finish tree pruning (this item had apparently not been communicated to the crew, so they didn't have all the tools needed - they used what we had, but they brought their own more automated tools the next day). My project was huge in my opinion. It included a total makeover, clean up of years of neglect and debris, transforming existing plants and landscape, adding a yard, and so much more. Removal of old and bringing in new brought the property back to life and I love pulling into the driveway every time now! We had a real challenge: start from scratch, landscaping for a new build, with serious water issues--foot of mud and rivers of water after a 6 1/2 inch rain dropped over two days. Not part of the original landscaping, we needed to add extensive French drains, river rock in so many places, yet looking natural and beautiful. Well it's been almost 6 weeks since Sam Hill and his crew had spent the day remaking our front yard. All looks great! My husband & I recently purchased a home that had a yard in need of some care. Sam recommended planting some 50 shrubs, carex & grasses including mulching. Our lawn was about 2/3 clover and so it was thrashed, seeded & top dressed. My husband was diligent watering. Initially watering twice a day. And lo and behold we have a great carpet of grass! We have a heavily treed area that was cleaned out & looks much better. And our front area next to the street & mailbox was mulched & planted with a layer of gravel applied up to street. We have 7 Rhododendrons that were grossly over grown. Seeing out our living room windows was a problem. Based on YELP reviews, I searched for landscapers / pruners. Premium Landscape Services was one of the two highest rated, I called both. Samuel (the owner) called back within minutes of my call. He was on my side of town, en route to another appointment, and stopped by that afternoon. I described the job and what we wanted done. Samuel gave me advice and opinion about the over grown rhodies so I knew what to expect from the pruning. Sadly, the over grown nature of the plants would not yield a great looking plant in the short term. But pruning would put them on the road to a better size and better health in the long term. A few days later he called to schedule for the next day. Samuel and his new employee showed up on time (his business is growing to the point that he can now hire a full time employee). Within a few hours, all 7 plants were pruned and reduced in size. What impressed me was that the outside of the plants were left pretty full so, from the street, it looked like we had full plants, not harsh bare branches I've seen on other like rhodie prunings. They did a great job on clean up and removal of the prunings too. There was hardly a twig or leaf left on the ground for me to blow down. This is a young and growing business. I like Samuel's work ethic and honesty. What was promised was delivered. By the way, a month later I am still waiting for the other Yelp highly rated landscaper to return my call. read more

Samuel brought in a small excavator, removed dirt, installed a nice retaining wall, leveled the ground, and laid down crushed black gravel. He spent a lot of time with us during the initial consultation and took extra time going over plants that I had questions about. Since we bought our house last year, there's a lot I didn't know about the plants that were there when we bought the place, and he was able to give us a lot of great ideas and advice about edging, types of plants, and how to thin them out for better growth. And that was all before we ever decided to go with his services. He also gave a very reasonable quote and we accepted. We will be having him come back to do more work and he also has a software program that does landscape design -- he quoted a very good price to have a custom design done up for us so we will be pursuing that come spring time. Samuel was on time each time he showed up and was very pleasant to work with. Good help is hard to find but we've certainly found ours!
