From start to end this company was incompetent and extremely unprofessional. I paid $15,000 for landscape design and installation. A dollar amount they said was pretty small for them so my job took on the feel of being more of an annoyance to everyone at the company. We start the prop with the designer showing up with no tape measure! This should have been a clue! Problems with incorrect sizes and material requirements rained supreme during this nightmare. Deposits were paid in September for an April start date, only to find out one day one of the project there would be delays because the required materials were not ordered. Oh by the way if they say you need 20 plants or 16 pavers and they only use 5 of each, they keep the rest. It's in the contract! Oh did I mention that if they stated you need 15 plants and you need 20 they will sell you the other 5 from inventory left over from other jobs! Yes, paid twice for the same plant! By the way, the plants they bring only have a warranty if you buy their installed sprinkler system for an additional cost. On and on and on it went! In the end I gave up, tired of fighting for what should have been common sense! Stay away from this company!! read more

We are finishing a complex project which involved updating a koi pond, changing to a flagstone patio, changing stairs to a ramp, and adding an outdoor kitchen. The pond is beautiful and the koi are much safer in it. The patio and ramp are beautiful, as is the outdoor kitchen/work surface. The crews have all been polite, helpful, and expert in their work. They have performed this work in a Versace manner. The weather hasn't been good, but they've forged ahead. Our driveway is very steep so logistics have been challenging. They have made it work, in spite of multiple challenges. They are making sure everything works and fits perfectly. I'm looking forward to planting the yard and using the space when it quits raining. Every employee we've encountered has been kind and helpful; from the excavator operator, stone masons, truck drivers, to the people hauling soil and bark, to the pond store staff. I'm not a typical customer, I'm a landscape architect who designed the project and I'm very hands on. Part of my job was construction inspections of projects I designed, so I have a background working with people implementing designs. I respect this business and the crews working here. So my company recently worked with Nature Perfect installing irrigation on approximately 2 acres of land while they installed two professional paver patios, walk ways, fruit trees, bubbler fountain, beautiful stone steps and a professional netted fence to protect the homeowners fruit trees. I may have caught them on a bad day, but my experience was one star at best. I returned a pump that was accompanied by an original packaging and receipt of less than one year. When approach, I explained the pump was no longer pumping water. It was working and just stopped. The Nature Perfect employee/owner (?) took the pump to a power receptacle and plugged it in. "It's working" I was told, as she tried to hand me the small pump. I told her, I'm aware it runs, I told you it didn't pump. After a short walk to a tank of water hyacinths she plugged the pump in and submerged it in the tank. Water bubbled-out... barely. "How large of a pond is this in? It's probably undersized". I told her, well, it's not really a pond, its just a small water feature holding maybe 3 gallons of water and pumping less than a foot in elevation. The pump I was returning is rated at 140 gallons an hour, has a 1 year warranty, and is priced at $42. That very pump was recommended by a Nature Perfect employee as the size we needed when we described our application and bought it last July. She asked if I could come back after she contacted the manufacturer to make sure they would honor their warranty. She was worried that Nature Perfect may have to "eat the $42" if they wouldn't. Well, first off, that's not my problem. Second, I know you don't buy a pump for $42 dollars and sell it for $42....hard to keep the doors open doing that. I told her, no, I won't come back, we need to address this problem now. Reluctantly she gave me a replacement pump and said she was going to note our account that if this pump goes out that it won't be warrantied. Fine with me lady. If this second pump goes out I won't worry about supporting your local company any longer. I'll go to a big box-store where I can probably buy the same pump for less money and will get zero attitude if it quits working and needs to be replaced. read more

These guys don't give any impression of being a tightly-run operation, and don't move fast on anything except cashing checks. If you want to use them be aware that our experiences has been that they don't return messages or voicemail. There is an air of "You'll get it when we feel like getting it to you". Maybe they have so much business that they don't need to be responsive, but the hard sell on getting you on contract would seem to indicate otherwise. This is an example of poor customer communication and support. You owe it to customers to respond to email/telephone messages, not to go silent or fail to follow through. When customers are forced to chase businesses to get info or get work done it calls into question whether the company can/will execute the work properly. read more

My husband and I went to the business to talk to them about doing work on our fountain/bubbler. I initially called the office a week prior and was told that we had to pay a $175.00 just for the guy to come out for a consultation. I told the woman that we wanted to hire some one right away and that we wanted our project finished. I did tell her that it was a small project. She didn't seemed to listen to me because she was more concerned about the $15.00 gas charge to drive the six miles to our place. I don't mind paying a fee but come on. So my husband and I thought it would be more productive to go to the place of business and just talk to someone. We told the employee that we had started our project and had the container and electrical ready to go and all that we asked was help with a professional looking design and a recommended pump and for them to provide a professional completion. We even saw a nicer bubble rock than we had already purchase and wanted to replace it with the one they had on sight, which was $350.00 and beautiful. We wanted to hire their company because we got a very good recommendation from someone who had done other work for us. After a couple of minute talking with the employee we could tell that he could hardly wait to get us out the door after we told him what were were looking for. He flat out told us that our project was too small and handed us a card for one of his pool maintenance men. He stated that perhaps his maintenance guy might fit us in if he decided to do the job. Their website states that "Our team of designers and craftsman are ready to take on any size project." Apparently they are fibbing/fork-of-tongue or perhaps there are other reasons..... who knows. But what I do know is that when their website also stated that their team is "unified by the same goals creating beautiful landscapes and lasting relationships" they should have a declaimer stating that it only applies to projects that they feel is large enough, more money for them and if they decide if they want to do it or not....just to be perfectly clear. read more

My experience with Landen was not good. I made an appt with him, to look at my project, and help design an entirely new yard on an acre lot . He missed the first appt. We rescheduled. He spent about an hour with me, and said he charged $100 for the first consultation. That seemed odd, since I told him, i was anxious to see his designs. He said, that $100 would come off the eventual charges. I heard nothing from him after that. I emailed and called him , after 4 weeks. Then after 6 weeks. Then i wrote him an actual letter, since it had been 3 months. I never heard a single reply. The check was cashed almost immediately, however. Finally , at the one year mark, I sent him another letter, saying, please return the $100 i gave you, that I had never heard from him about my project, i just became invisible. He did not reply at all. There are many other landscapers out there. I hired a different one, from Gig harbor. I heartily to do not recommend Landen Moore. If you read thru the reviews, he charged someone else a different fee for "consultation.", so perhaps its whatever he thinks he can get you to pay him? I don't know. Terribly rude to not reply anything at all to a customer, esp after you have demanded a payment for services , that have not yet been rendered. read more

Buying a fixer-upper can be expensive and frustrating. There is so much to do on the inside that you never have time for the outside! Our new yard looked unkempt and in need of some trimming, cutting and love! I called Nature Perfect and spoke with Timothy. He gave me an honest quote for some hedge trimming, tree trimming and weed pulling along with grass cutting and just plain neatening up the place. His crew of Justin, Curtis and Allan showed up on time and got to work. They worked quickly and efficiently doing as much as can be expected with the ground still soggy and covered with snow. These guys were friendly and knowledgeable and by the time they wee done it looked so much better. I will have them back once the ground dries out and they are able to cut the grass. I recently hired Nature Perfect to design and landscape my completely overgrown front garden. I liked and felt good about everyone I met who was associated with the company, from the man who first met with me to talk about the project, to one of the owners who then met with me when we sealed the deal for them to do the work. Every crew member was so skilled and hard working....they seemed to work very well together and problem solved with no drama or egos getting in the way. They all appeared to want to have me happy and to do a job they would be proud of. It was a great experience to have them working here. And it is BEAUTIFUL.! There were a couple of glitches with communication - what I thought was to be was not what I got, but they were completely willing to work with me so I got everything how I wanted, with no questions asked; I never had any sense that they every got tired of me asking questions or making little adjustments as they worked on things and that is really important to me. I loved having them here and watching this garden of beauty grow before my very eyes. They were fast and efficient, they showed up when they said they would, on time every day. And when they were finished, everything was left pristine - even the ruts on the side of the county road were smoothed over, and I don't even think their trucks were the ones that made them!
