This was a first-time visit to this location to get a simple gel fill in on my acrylic nails and they put me with somebody I think it was her first day but needed help with every step of the way getting my nails done ask for Matte on my nails and did not turn out matte just very dull and also had paint all over my cuticles like I did it at home as far as customer service goes I don't know if she could speak English but she did not speak but one time the whole interaction I will not be coming back to this location. My friend recommended this place to me because she goes often and her nails look great! Walk Ins are welcome and when you come in you sign in so they first come first serve. I only waited about five minutes or so before i was called to sit and pick a color for a gel manicure. Everyone is very nice and helpful! They offer you a water and are just all around pleasant. The lady that did my nails did a phenomenal job cutting my cuticles and was very nice but the paint is a little uneven when you look up close especially on the sides. Overall my nails look just fine and i had a great experience so I'll go back one more time and give it another shot before I decide against coming back for good. read more

Got a mani/pedi & it was definitely nothing special. The pedi was very brief & did absolutely nothing to soften my feet or remove dead skin besides a quick swipe with a grossly well used pumice sponge. The polish looked good. My mani was also very brief, I had to ask her to remove the rest of the old polish from the sides of my nails. The massage was nonexistent & when I looked down at my nails in the dryer there was a black speck sticking out of one & the nail tech was nowhere to be found. Another tried to remove it but it just left all the polish smeared & she tried to just put clear coat over it. I pointed out that it wasn't working & so she put more colored polish & clear over it instead of just redoing the whole finger & I ended up with a super thick nail that still wasn't smooth & it chipped about an hour later. I went in for a full set & they had to redo them 3 times!!!!! first he glued the acrylic nail on crooked and didn't fix it when i mentioned it to him, then he painted half of my nails & got annoyed when I asked him to fix it so he had another girl do it. & he buffed my nails so hard my cuticles started bleeding. Came here recently to get my nails done for a trip. I don't come very often unless I have an occasion therefore I didn't request anyone specific. Theyve recently expanded their space and it's beautiful. I had one woman do my feet and although she seemed nervous and new she did a great job and really took her time which was enjoyable. I had another woman do my hands which was very confusing because the woman who did my feet was sitting in front of me until the manager pulled her away. The woman who did my hands was too quick and I am left with an unsmooth gel polish. It doesn't bother me much but for the price they charged I expected better. read more

Lady who did my nails talked so much crap about another client the whole time . She didn't tell me the sns would burn before applying and so after she did I felt my fingers were on fire . Mixed feelings here. The salon itself is one of the nicest and cleanest I've been to since moving to Raleigh. However, I went in and said I was looking for a sheer pink or nude color. I spent at least fifteen minutes trying to find a sheer nude and asked several times for help. The technician gave me several opaque pink colors and said they didn't have a sheer nude or pink. When I said that wasn't the color I wanted another technician told me to just pick one of the provided options. Second, the technician put on SO MUCH polish...three coats of color plus a topcoat. I went in around 10:40a...Its now 2:00p and the polish is still clumpy and tacky. Its gross. I was able to just peel off the layers now. I will give the place another go but only with a female technician who knows her stuff - the male technician I got looked liked he had no idea what he was doing and it was an absolute waste of money. I went in for a pedicure after working doubles all week and my feet were KILLING me! I decided to treat myself and get the luxury massage, not cheap but it was an AMAZING experience! Louis took his time massaging my feet and legs, I didn't think double think my decision for one second. He spent over an hour prepping and massaging my feet before going in with polish. They have lasted pretty well throughout the weeks but there was no pricing list and anything that added up my total should have been told to me along the process. The color selection for both gel and tradition polish was the largest I've seen. Christine asked if I would also like a brow wax, which I didn't even know they offered. Worst experience ever! Something has gone terribly wrong at this nail salon. I'm very disappointed as I used to enjoy going here. I didn't mind paying top dollar for excellent customer service but the customer service is non-existent, even the owner was rude. If you're more concerned with the aesthetics of your salon than your customers, you have a problem. These technicians need to be retrained. These people are TERRIBLE with children, the owner was panicked she might drop a bottle of polish, you're running a nail salon lady! The technician scolded a child for getting water on the floor, ruined the birthday experience and upset the child then tried to deny it. I routinely spent $200 every trip but never again. They have very comfy nice chairs. Only complaint we had is everyone felt there was no pressure in the foot/ leg massage portion of the pedicure, so perhaps ask for high pressure. read more

Being this is my 2nd visit to Pacific Nails, I'm ready to provide my opinion on their salon and service. What you will find: An attentive staff of nail technicians, who speak pretty good English. A clean salon and an offer of bottled water. What you won't find: flat screen tv's, a male manager hawking orders, a door bell that dings every time someone enters (irritating... can't they just look up and see someone standing there?), and wine. The going rate for a basic pedi is $28. Pretty reasonable for me and I didn't have to wait. Oh and my toes look great! Black, perfect for Halloween. read more

WORST. PLACE. EVER. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I have twice attempted to get my nails done here, both times to utter disappointment and with sincere rudeness on behalf of the staff. A nail salon provides a service to customers. That's why I come here to do my nails instead of doing them myself. Why then, would such a business be so awfully incompetent at providing even the basic courtesies to their customer? Here's the full story. I discovered this place from my neighbor. Red flag number one. Upon walking in, I took a quick look at the shellac nail polish products that they carried. They are all brands that I have known to be of cheap and inferior quality. Red flag number two. When I asked to get my nails done, they were more than welcoming. However, upon discovering that I was attempting to redeem a coupon, they immediately asked me to re-book a separate appointment. Red flag number three. When I finally came in for my re-scheduled appointment (a *WEEK* later), they *AGAIN* refused me service, claiming that I was a couple of minutes late, and that they have given my appointment to a walk-in customer. This was DESPITE the fact that I arrived EARLY for my appointment and was simply waiting for a friend outside of the salon (in plain view of their staff, which already acknowledged that I was present). So here's the net-net: This salon uses sub-standard quality products, does not practice even the most BASIC rules of of customer service, has absolutely no respect for clients that are are attempting to redeem a coupon, and has, in dollar value, wasted more of my time than the cost of the nail appointment itself. I have warned every single one of my friends about this absolute monstrosity of a salon, and have subsequently found a much better alternative. For all those reading this review, please let this be a lesson in how NOT to run a business. TL;DR: 0/5 Stars. Avoid at all costs. UPDATE based on reply from the owner: Your reply here has only served to reinforce every single point I've made about providing quality customer service and treating customers with respect. In fact, your "apology" isn't even an apology--it's a masked insult where you explicitly dismiss the fact that I arrived prior to my appointment. Every single negative comment that you've replied to in your Yelp reviews has ignored the customer's ACTUAL experience and instead regurgitates statements that have obviously been proven to be false. Just because you say in your replies (over and over again) that you have good service and good reviews, does not make it true. There is a reason why Yelp filters reviews. It's very obvious that any good reviews this place used to have has now been greatly overshadowed by the myriad of customers who have all consistently been treated badly. Typically I try to wait a few days after getting either a manicure and/or a pedicure at a new salon so I can add whether or not my color has chipped, however, I'm really excited about this salon. I got my manicure on Saturday with a girlfriend. I opted for a simple manicure (and at only $13, it was a steal), she went for the gel manicure. My nails are perfectly even, filed neatly and my cuticles are trimmed evenly. The hand massage was pretty nice, I didn't get a scrub, but for the price paid I can't complain. The salon offers quite a bit of OPI selections, some ESSIE selections, and the gel selections as well. It is now Monday and 3 of my nails have already chipped which I'm a bit disappointed with, but, I might give them another try because the customer service was really good and the other reviews are also good. read more

The jury is still out on this business. My pedicure was mediocre at best. I can tell that the technician was in pain as she kept stretching her hands. She was really nice and left me alone without all the talking. My manicure (gel) was fabulous. Shr made sure there weren't any lumps on my nail bed from over polishing. I enjoyed the experience. The people here and perfectly nice, but they do not do very good work. I came in for a gel manicure on Thursday. Some spots started to peel up by Thursday night. Plus, my cuticles were not worked on, and there is some extraneous paint around my nails, like I had painted them myself. Once again, they are super friendly, but a manicure that lasts less than 24 hours is not worth $35. read more
