I really enjoyed my experience here! I was very nervous about getting an extraction/bone graft and then eventual implant but pacific dental eased my anxiety. I traveled from San Diego on a Saturday and got the extraction/bone graft same day as first visit. I saved about $5000 compared to USA prices. Dr mora is who performed my procedure and he was quick, thorough, and explained the whole process as we went so I wouldn't be too scared. Everyone who works there is kinda and spoke English so I felt very comfortable traveling alone to get this done. I'm a patient for life now so I hope they don't get sick of me :) read more

Dr. Torres cost me a lot of money to get my implant fixed in the USA. These reviews are mind boggling compared to what I got. He installed an implant that was under sized and forced the tooth next to the implant to do most of the work. that tooth just went bad and needs a crown. The implant Torres installed is not a zirconia which I paid extra for. There is a big gap at the bottom of the implant and now i have to pay for a new to get this corrected. Be careful getting work done abroad. You could be the unlucky one like me. I might add photos to prove this later. read more

I can't recommend this business enough. Dr Mora and his team provided excellence of care. I'm a board certified oncology and hospice registered nurse. I'm very critical about dental and medical care. I have nothing negative to say about this whole experience. Dr Mora is so gentle that my last two visits I didn't even need Novocain . If I had met Dr Mora years ago, I wouldn't have needed implants. The building and office is high tech. The entrance to the elevator is biometrics controlled. The Building is a state of the art with a hospital on the top floor. There's a hotel The Quartz Resort and Spa that is a 2 minute walk. There's actually a medical floor that has the nurses station for people that are discharged from the hospital. People come from New Zealand to have surgery at The New City Medical Center. I drive across the border and park in the underground parking if I'm staying the night. Otherwise, I use the valet parking outside of the medical building entrance. It's a 90 minute drive from South Orange County. Be sure to ask for a medical pass to get in the express lane to cross the border back in the US it could save you hours. I've never had a problem and I love staying at The Quartz Resort and Spa. Had a less than pleasurable experience under the care of Dr.Mora. From this learning experience you're bound to find someone in the states who can do your implant at the very same price and save all yourself the troubles. *Just to start everyone crossing over from the US looking for dental services has to deal with the difficulties of being in a foreign country and comes specifically to save some money. -At the time Dr.Mora did not complete his job and wanted to charge the bill in full, which he did not handle very well, when told otherwise. He also had gone in detail about a discount that I would never receive and when asked about it he completely denied it and grew angry. Just hope that he's being honest in his attitude because he will mess you up with his hard bearing work. *I paid $2,000 for a an implant with the abutment and crown. The sessions were painful and at the end I did not revive the correct size Crown, ultimately feeling as a complete waste of time and money. read more

It's the Beverly Hills clinic of Tijuana. Prices are higher than others but this is a state-of-the-art clinic in a modern high rise building. The dentist I had was a younger gentlemen who was very nice, communicative and professional. I would go back again, but I am looking to save more $$ if I am going to Mexico for dental work. I had them do an extraction and bone graph ($475). I didn't do the implant yet but I am happy with the work they did. If I recall correctly, the entire implant was going to cost me close to $2k, which is similar to some dentists in the US. So I am waiting to see what I'll do next. read more

Celebrating being a patient in my 17th year, I trust Dr. Torres and the staff completely with my dental health! During the course of our relationship, I have had crowns, implants and of course, a few cavities have been cared of! Never a single issue with any work done! Not once have experienced discomfort or pain, Dr. Torres is very careful to make sure patients are comfortable. This is a 1st rate Dental facility and Team, the care and professionalism rival any stateside practice. Yesterday I was in for a cleaning and it was an excellent experience. Top of the line equipment including a digital panoramic x-ray machine! This a very cool machine that takes an x-ray of your entire mouth in one pass, which Dr. Torres reviewed with me on the flat screen right above the dental chair. Very detailed and allows you to instantly see the state of your teeth. Make it easy on yourself, walk across and take a taxi to the office. Plenty of them when you walk out of the border crossing they know the office. Yes, the cost is significantly better, but don't let a preconceived perception of crossing the border to keep you from 1st rate care! read more

This is my good to dentist in TJ. I have been through a few dentist here, and some of them did mess my teeth up. Here you have quality staff and competent dentist. They show you a break down of all the prices, and it's a third of what a US dentist will charge you. They do take some US insurances as well. I have brought my daughter here, and most recently I brought my mother who was visiting from Minnesota. They realigned two sets of her dentures. One they did for free! read more

My husband needed extensive work, 14 teeth pulled and the all on 4 implant permanent teeth solution done. We were quoted close to $70,000 here in the states so I started doing my research on Implant Specialists in Tiajuana. I also needed some work done, a bridge broken and an implant placed. Dr. Mora has studied abroad and trained at several Top schools here in the U.S. He continues to teach and learn which is important and has a great track record. We started corresponding via email. I sent him the x-rays i had and he came up with a treatment plan for my husband and myself. We received a 20% discount from Quartz Hotel which is right next door. I had a phone conversation with him as well prior to going. His English is perfect both via email and on the phone. We ordered the bloodwork as we needed anesthesia which was a breeze. Meeting him in person, he is very caring and dedicated and has great hands a great bedside manner. Each step was thoroughly explained to us. We will be going back in 3-5 months for our permanent teeth. He will also be re-doing some botched dentistry here in the states for way less. He even called us a week later to ensure that we were both doing ok and healing up. I don't even know a U.S. dentist that does that. The office staff speaks fluent English as well and helped with insurance paperwork etc. Be sure to get a Q-Pass sent to you to enter New City medical Plaza as well as a Medical Pass for quicker exit back to the U.S. There is a wonderful food court just outside of the Quartz Hotel that is home to about 8 different restaurants, plus Farm to Table and the hotel. I have taken a stack of business cards and have been busy handing them out and referring people to Dr. Mora. I can't say enough good things about this office and the doctors who work there. read more

Excellent experience! This is my first time getting dental work done in Mexico. I really wasn't sure what to expect. But the work I was needing in the US was going to cost about $2500-$3000. At Pacific Dental, it was $1020! The staff spoke perfect English, the office was very clean, and all of the equipment they used was just like what you would find in the US. I had to go for two visits which is normal for the procedure that I needed. Both visits they were right on time and explained everything they were doing. It's been 3 years since my last review and felt that I should add additional information about a recent visit during COVID, as the border is closed except for essential travel (dentistry is considered essential). Needed to see Dr. Torres as I had an emergency - broke off a significant portion of a tooth. Next day I had an appointment. Process still the same as I reported in 2017: Parked at Border parking on US side (rate is now $9.00 for Monday - Thursday, $18 for Friday - Sunday), but could not use PedWest to walk across the border - that is temporarily closed as of March 2020, so needed to use the San Ysidro pedestrian border crossing only. When you exit the parking lot, walk left, go across the street, and in the next block there is a dedicated walkway that takes you down to street level, where there are signs pointing you to the walkway to take you to the building with Mexican border control. You no longer need to fill out a piece of paper for a visa to enter Mexico, you just speak with a customs agent, indicate you are visiting for the day to see the dentist. 30 seconds later, the agent hands you back your passport and you are on your way. Take the walkway, and when you reach the street, there are taxis waiting to the right. Make sure you have the Pacific Dental address in Zona Rio with you to show cab driver, and if you have a printout from Google Maps with directions to the office from the Costco (the office is 3 blocks from Costco), the taxi driver should know how to get you there. Office is on 2nd floor. Taxi cost: $6.00 each way. Although you spend no time at all going through Mexican customs, I spent 2 hours to queue through the line to go through US Customs to get back into the United States, on a Tuesday at 11:00am. Prepare yourself for a wait no matter when you go (unless you have SENTRI clearance) until the Ped West pedestrian crossing is operational again as a 2nd pedestrian crossing point to/from the US and Mexico. During the appointment, Dr. Torres presented all options to me, and the cost, before proceeding. My work started immediately upon my approval. I need to go back for my 2nd appointment, but I continue to be quite pleased with his work, including difficult dental situations. Office procedures have been modified for COVID - everyone wears masks, dentists wear face shields as well, patient's temperature is checked and given hand sanitizer prior to taking you back to their procedure room for your appointment. Also if you need a prescription filled (issued from a doctor at Pacific Dental), there is a pharmacy conveniently located across the street. You declare those prescriptions to US Customs, show the prescription order with the drugs in the original packages, and I was waived through. I would recommend wearing a face mask, a face shield, carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer and/or disposable gloves, to endure your safety (from COVID) as you wait in the queue to re-enter the US and return to your vehicle. read more

At first I was a little apprehensive about going to a dentist in Tijuana, Mexico for dental care, but when I met Dr. Torres I saw that his dental degree was from a highly-regarded US dental school and that he was a member of the American Dental Association. And his office walls were filled with numerous plaques, certifications, awards and honors. I had a serious medical condition that resulted in my teeth decaying. I have over 20 crowns, and Dr. Torres has done just about all of them. They look excellent! It's a 2 1/2-3 hour drive from Los Angeles to see him, and it's definitely worth it. I've been going there for several years. I remember a former dentist in LA who took seven x-rays of one tooth before she got it right. The x-rays at Pacific Dental are done in a split second and display instantaneously on a monitor. Pacific Dental in Tijuana actually had better dental equipment than my former dentist in the posh Brentwood area of Los Angeles on San Vicente Blvd. Pacific Dental's facility in Tijuana seems state-of-the-art, and with Dr. Torres you get a pleasant, likable, honest dentist who has impeccable credentials and who does A+ dental work for about half price or less. Pacific Dental has a lab on the premises, and I think that might also help them keep costs low without having to compromise on quality. read more

I went to see Dr. Torres for a root canal. My regular dentist (who is amazing and the best) doesn't do root canals unfortunately so he referred me to a specialist who quoted me $1,700. Since I had already burned through my insurance I wasn't really happy about that price. I started to do some research online and found numerous good recommendations for Dr. Torres. I called his office and was quoted $280 for a root canal. After more research, I decided to go for it. I am very pleased with my decision so far. I had a lot of hesitation about crossing the border for dental work but I'm very happy that I did. Dr. Torres put me at ease right away and I am normally terrified of dental work. He is very kind and gentle and explains the process to you. He speaks perfect English too. His staff were also very nice and professional. What really stood out to me was that he had a question about a post that was supposed to go in my tooth and he even let me call my dentist and then spoke to him personally so he could verify the right post to put in. I thought that was great. My only comment, and it's really not a negative, is that be prepared to possibly pay more than what you are quoted. Because I needed the post, and I also opted for twilight sedation, my $280 ended up at $480. I didn't feel like I was being ripped off or misquoted (I still saved a ton of money!) but just be aware that there may be other services that are additional. They do give you 10% off if you pay in cash. To cross the border, I opted to take a medical shuttle from the Best Western Americana in San Ysidro. It is safe and fast, and you can go through a medical line returning back over the border into the US. It is $25 each way, which is a little steep considering Dr. Torres' office is less than a mile from the border (across from CECUT), but worth it of you don't want to deal with any hassle. Overall I would highly recommend Dr. Torres and would return again if I needed any other dental work that my regular dentist could not provide. read more

Ever since I was small up until now I have been terrified and very nervous about my dentist visits. But since becoming a patient of Doctor Natan Lutz, my dental experience has changed to a still nervous but not so terrifying one. Dr. Lutz is very welcoming, kind, and has a great sense of humor throughout the whole visit. He explains step by step what will be done, and always assures me that everything will be fine (which gives me great relief). The thing that I like more about Dr. Natan Lutz is that he is fast in doing his dental work, and that the anesthetic injection never hurts. However after interviewing 3 dentist I decided to go with Dr. Natan Lutz. He is straight forward and true to his words. He is genuinely concern in my care and comfort. I even forgot to be nervous. No pain even after an implant procedure! I can feel his care for his patients and general love for his profession. He takes his time and make sure to do what's best for me. Very easy to deal with. I've been going here for years mainly seeing Dr. Torres. I have Lumineers put in here which were over 50% cheaper in TJ and look great (at least I think so). On the rare occasion that I need them recemented (which I'm driving to TJ for tomorrow), they only charge $50. I got quotes here in CA that were anywhere from $200-$300. Normally I would say I would just pay the extra and get it done locally so I don't have to drive, but I make a day out of it by driving to San Diego, and get a motel for the night which is still cheaper than getting work done in Los Angeles. read more

I checked with my local dentist first so he was on board with me getting my crowns elsewhere. The work Dr Torres performed was great. The cleanings are not as deep and extensive as my local dentist. I can't recommend this dental office highly enough! I've worked with both of the main dentists there, and while their style is very different each is extremely gifted in dentistry. They have excellent training and attend to the quality of their work way beyond anything I've experienced in the states, and for a fraction of the price.
