They left our downstairs bathroom in terrible shape, and despite Brittany assuring us it would be handled, we were later told the repairs were entirely our responsibility. The bigger issue came later: we found wet, broken drywall inside our upstairs HVAC air-handler closet, exactly on the wall where the leak occurred. This damage was completely missed by their team. The drywall was in perfect condition before the leak, and there is no other source of water in that location. When we informed them, Sean repeatedly promised that the drywall repair would be approved because of his relationship with the property manager. We patiently waited months. Today, he told us the request was denied -- and then denied ever promising he could get it approved. This entire experience has involved misleading assurances, inconsistent information, delays, and a complete lack of accountability. Instead of acknowledging obvious oversight, they refused responsibility at every step. I wish we hadn't trusted this company. Homeowners deserve honesty and professionalism, and we did not receive either.

They proceeded to remove portions of two rooms in my home, costing me approximately $5,800. After the demolition, I was told they did not find mold in the areas they removed. My biggest concern is that I wish I had been told BEFORE demolition that they did not know where the mold was and might not find it in those areas. Had I understood that, I would have pursued additional environmental testing before allowing two rooms of my home to be torn apart. I was ultimately left with demolished rooms, continued mold concerns, and significant additional expenses. Based on my experience, I would not use SERVPRO again.

He sent me some information on the process and its efficacy, assuring me that it comes with the same warranty as fumigation. He offered to come out to my home in Ventura to discuss the process in detail. We decided to go forward and were able to quickly complete the contract via email, allowing us to schedule the work to be done at a convenient date of our choice. The workers arrived about an hour early to set up - which was fine with us since it meant we would be able to get back into the house earlier as well. They were all very friendly and professional as we walked around the outside of the house to note some of the best options for making sure our plants and rain gutters would be safe. Since they needed to keep the house at a high temperature for several hours, we decided to make a fun day out of it. We spent the day hiking and swimming at the beach until they called us to say they were done with the treatment ahead of schedule. Of course, the house was pretty hot for a few hours after they left but it cooled down by the time we went to bed. It was very nice to know that the heat treatment not only took care of the termites and other pests, but also any mold that may have been in our home. The company sent some workers out a few days later to help me put a section of rain gutter back up. They even sent me a check to reimburse us for some ceramic pots that were accidentally knocked over as well as the cost of having a refrigerator technician come out to adjust our refrigerator. Overall, I am very pleased that we happened to have found Precision Environmental and I hope to see more and more people using their services instead of using chemical fumigation!

They did our "pack out", arranged by our homeowners insurance for a water damage claim. Packing and…read morehauling were done carefully and efficiently. They definitely didn't over-pack the boxes. They took pictures and kept a ledger about everything taken out. It was getting everything back that as problematic. By that time they'd had our stuff for a year. At first they billed our insurance for some monthly storage but we noticed in the insurance portal they did that for only a couple months. We didn't question it because the insurance had paid $24,000 in advance, and there's no way it cost anywhere near that for a half day of 4 guys boxing and packing etc. so we figured it was all taken care of. When we were ready to get our stuff back, we had to play phone tag for over two weeks. The guy who first came to the house for pack-out, a guy named Fred, never returned our calls. We had to track down the owner, Sonny, via our restoration company, to schedule the return. At first he asked if insurance had given us the rent money. We were like, huh? No, the insurance portal says it all went to him. He dropped that and quickly fired off a return date. We were not at all surprised when he cancelled it the day before, complaining that the restoration company had asked for a two-phase return -- bring the kitchen appliances and cookware first. Then bring the furniture and miscellaneous on a subsequent date. Nothin doing. It had to be all or nothing. So we scheduled another date. Big surprise, we expected it based on the lack of thought that went into the original date. They were paid to pack out and pack in. On the day of, they brought everything back in boxes and left. Months later we still have stacks of boxes to go through. I can't lay all blame on them. The job entailed enough remodel that things couldn't be put back where they were. On the other hand, some spaces were identical. That didn't matter. It was, here's your shit, now Buh-bye. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this company for packout. I was very uncomfortable that they could have held thousands of dollars worth of our belongings ransom for even more money. They didn't actually do what they were paid to do. And it took, weeks to arrange to get our things back. Nobody needs that kind of anxiety when emerging from a casualty loss like what we experienced. So my star rating is 5 for out and 1 for in. That's how I arrived at 3 stars.
