I had an Invisalign appt in a month to evaluate/finish my tx, but I had a concern regarding my bite. I called their office and they were able to get me in the very next day. Dr. VDB patiently and warmly answered all my questions, but what was even better was that he was able to take off my Invisalign attachments same day... today! I was sooo excited he was able to get me in ASAP and was able to finish my treatment one month early... that's unheard of in ortho! The appointment was fast, efficient, and again I felt super safe in his office. My Invisalign retainers will be here in 2 weeks and I can't wait to officially be done with (invisible) braces for the rest of my life!!! Thank you Dr. VDB for my amazing smile ! read more

After much research (5 orthodontics later), I finally was ready to do something for my self. Important things to mention: Dr. Van den Berg is a Invisalign Platinum Provider. Why is this important?...experience! His office also has an iTero 3D teeth scanner. I had a gap that I always hated and felt embarrassed when I smiled. This procedure was going to be life changing for me and that is why I did so much research. Price was always in the same range. What surprised me was that not everyone had the same plan for my teeth. One orthodontist wanted to remove teeth.... hello I'm trying to close a gap! Right away I felt comfortable with Dr. Van den Berg and staff. Danielle was great in providing all of the information and super friendly. I never felt pressured which is very important. Dr. Van den Berg is very gentle when handling your mouth. I had some IPR done and was terrified, but don't worry with his gentle and careful technique you won't feel a thing. I stuck to the rules and was done super early. Dr. van den Berg is always so sweet every appointment I had- encouraging, positive, and professional. That's one thing- I would see the Dr. every single appointment. I think that's very professional and important. Another thing I love about Pacific Coast is their flexibility. I'm a full time worker, and could barely find the time to come in for appointments. We went to Dr. Rob for our 14 year old son on our dentist's recommendation and we're glad we did. Our prior orthodontist was like a factory and only cared about getting as many patients through the process as fast as they can. Dr. Rob and his awesome staff really do care about their patients. Our son is a lot happier and is more at ease with his visits and the progress with his teeth. I started seeing Dr. Van den Berg just over a year ago to get Invisalign. I am over 60 but still yearned for straighter teeth and a better smile. (I had braces as a kid, but the results were only so-so.) I finished a little early, which was a pleasant surprise! I came from a dentist that I had been going to for about 10 years and I transferred my Invisalign treatment. Dr Van den Berg and his team accepted me after a frustrating experience. My Invisalign treatment was to only last 6 months. After two years of bad moldings and trays that didn't fit, a friend referred me to Dr Van den Berg and he completed my treatment in one swoop! My teeth look and feel great now and I owe it to Dr Van den Berg. With the latest technology, he was able to create the smile I've always wanted. I really enjoyed how close him and his team are, and couldn't help but laugh when I arrived on Halloween to a team of Elvis's to work on my teeth! Dr VDB accepted me as a an unhappy and frustrated transfer patient who thought my Invisalign treatment was failed. I went in for a consult, probably back around 2012. They came recommended by my dentist. The entire process was a big sales pitch. They Dr. Van Den Berg was nice enough and I think he does good work but the entire process was not what I want from my dentist. "If you sign today, we'll give you 10% off" - am I buying a car? 4 years later I start getting emails from them, just marketing stuff. "Come spend your year end flexible spending account money!" "10 spots left in a special Invisalign study! Sign up now!" I'm in sales and understand the need to drive revenue. But to take this approach in a very personal area is a square peg in a round hole...just not a good fit. read more

I rarely leave bad reviews but our experience here did not feel like we were at a professional office. We have consulted with several orthodontists in the San Ramon area and this was the ONLY bad experience we had. We waited over an hour today for a consultation without any explanation for the delay. When you go to the website, it tells you the top 10 reasons to choose this practice. Number two is that "you will be seen on time." When we decided to leave and explained our frustration, the assistant did not even apologize. She just said, "ok.\;" no apology or explanation. Then Dr. Van Den Berg came over. After I explained our reason for leaving, he did apologize, but it did not feel genuine, and his excuse was that his front desk person left early (she left when we checked in). I told him that, if there was going to be delay like this, they should have told us. I explained to him that things happen, but there was zero communication and I reminded him what he himself included on his website about being on time. Also, not sure how a front desk person leaving early explains any delay on his part as the practice is not a busy one. In the hour we were there, there were only 3 other patients. Every other practice we have consulted with has multiple assistants and dozens of patients, which gives potential clients more confidence to see a bustling practice. I don't think there are many people who would have had the patience to wait an entire hour without any communication about the delay especially for an out of pocket professional service. My son has been going to PCO for the past 18 months and today was his last day of Invisalign. We have had a great experience with Dr. VDB and his entire staff. Appointments were easy to make, no wait time and everyone was always friendly. Invisalign definitely requires more discipline but it's relatively painless compared to braces and you're able to eat anything. I wish I had that option when I had my teeth done! I transferred my Invisalign treatment to Dr. Van den Berg when I moved from out of state. Based on my experience with my previous orthodontist, I thought the treatment was pretty cut and dry--you just follow the outline that Invisalign provides. After meeting with Dr. Van den Berg, I realized this was not the case. His expertise became immediately obvious when he determined tweeks and changes that needed to be made to keep my teeth on track. He even started a brand new treatment with me when it was apparent that the path I was on wasn't effective enough. He knew immediately when something wasn't working and took the appropriate steps to course-correct. My teeth were so bad, I only expected them to be "better" than they were, but my results are AMAZING! And, the entire staff is so kind, warm, and friendly.
