I had an Invisalign appt in a month to evaluate/finish my tx, but I had a concern regarding my bite. I called their office and they were able to get me in the very next day. Dr. VDB patiently and warmly answered all my questions, but what was even better was that he was able to take off my Invisalign attachments same day... today! I was sooo excited he was able to get me in ASAP and was able to finish my treatment one month early... that's unheard of in ortho! The appointment was fast, efficient, and again I felt super safe in his office. My Invisalign retainers will be here in 2 weeks and I can't wait to officially be done with (invisible) braces for the rest of my life!!! Thank you Dr. VDB for my amazing smile ! read more

After much research (5 orthodontics later), I finally was ready to do something for my self. Important things to mention: Dr. Van den Berg is a Invisalign Platinum Provider. Why is this important?...experience! His office also has an iTero 3D teeth scanner. I had a gap that I always hated and felt embarrassed when I smiled. This procedure was going to be life changing for me and that is why I did so much research. Price was always in the same range. What surprised me was that not everyone had the same plan for my teeth. One orthodontist wanted to remove teeth.... hello I'm trying to close a gap! Right away I felt comfortable with Dr. Van den Berg and staff. Danielle was great in providing all of the information and super friendly. I never felt pressured which is very important. Dr. Van den Berg is very gentle when handling your mouth. I had some IPR done and was terrified, but don't worry with his gentle and careful technique you won't feel a thing. I stuck to the rules and was done super early. If you are considering Invisalign just do it! I'm so happy I did. Here is the proof :) read more

Got ortho work done here circa 2006... amazing then, went back for a retainer adjustment today, 14 years later - still amazing! Staff and Doc are incredibly friendly. Warm and welcoming place. Also in 2014 I also got a new retainer because I didn't want a lingual bar anymore and it was an easy smooth process. So happy with them! read more

Dr. Van den Berg and staff are very nice and easy to deal with. Our kids are happy with their service.

We went to Dr. Rob for our 14 year old son on our dentist's recommendation and we're glad we did. Our prior orthodontist was like a factory and only cared about getting as many patients through the process as fast as they can. Dr. Rob and his awesome staff really do care about their patients. Our son is a lot happier and is more at ease with his visits and the progress with his teeth. We also love the fact that Dr. Rob and his staff love having fun and doing things like dressing up for Halloween, Christmas and other holidays. read more

Updated review: My experience has been nothing but pleasant whenever I walk in the door to Pacific Coast. A year later, and I cannot be more pleased with my results!! Dr. van den Berg is always so sweet every appointment I had- encouraging, positive, and professional. That's one thing- I would see the Dr. every single appointment. I think that's very professional and important. Another thing I love about Pacific Coast is their flexibility. I'm a full time worker, and could barely find the time to come in for appointments. They always knew I had to be somewhere so they would be very efficient in a short amount of time. It's so great to be honored as a client there. You can really feel the love in this office. My results with Invisalign are spectacular. I'm so happy with the way my teeth look. It really is a wonderful experience to look at your smile that you've worked so hard on. Pacific Coast is a great place to start Invisalign for the first time. The staff is very encouraging, and positive! Thank you, Pacific Coast for my new smile!! I love it every time I look in a mirror. read more

Dr. van den Berg is one of the best! Not only is he very knowledgeable, he is kind and cares for his patients. I came from a dentist that I had been going to for about 10 years and I transferred my Invisalign treatment. Dr Van den Berg and his team accepted me after a frustrating experience. My Invisalign treatment was to only last 6 months. After two years of bad moldings and trays that didn't fit, a friend referred me to Dr Van den Berg and he completed my treatment in one swoop! My teeth look and feel great now and I owe it to Dr Van den Berg. With the latest technology, he was able to create the smile I've always wanted. I really enjoyed how close him and his team are, and couldn't help but laugh when I arrived on Halloween to a team of Elvis's to work on my teeth! Dr VDB accepted me as a an unhappy and frustrated transfer patient who thought my Invisalign treatment was failed. He turned it around in a short a mount of time and I am very pleased with the results. read more

I went in for a consult, probably back around 2012. They came recommended by my dentist. The entire process was a big sales pitch. They Dr. Van Den Berg was nice enough and I think he does good work but the entire process was not what I want from my dentist. "If you sign today, we'll give you 10% off" - am I buying a car? 4 years later I start getting emails from them, just marketing stuff. "Come spend your year end flexible spending account money!" "10 spots left in a special Invisalign study! Sign up now!" I'm in sales and understand the need to drive revenue. But to take this approach in a very personal area is a square peg in a round hole...just not a good fit. read more

I started seeing Dr. Van den Berg just over a year ago to get Invisalign. I am over 60 but still yearned for straighter teeth and a better smile. (I had braces as a kid, but the results were only so-so.) I finished a little early, which was a pleasant surprise! I can't say enough about the great job he and his staff did, and, just as important, it is the friendliest medical office I have ever been in. I have frequenly come in a little early, just because I was out and about, and never had to wait. A lot of my friends have gone to this practice for Invisalign, so I had great faith in their work, and they did not disappoint. Now I can smile in pics without being embarrassed! read more

During COVID SIP, Dr Van DenBerg made a special trip to his office with an N95 mask to repair my son's braces as my son had broken two wires and a bracket. My friend referred me to Dr Rob. I can't express how grateful to see Dr. Rob after my daughter had the accident trauma. The office was able to give me an appointment right away. Dr. Rob is very professional and patience to listen up all of my questions and concern, and provides the solution for us. He even goes the extra mile for my daughter to make sure she has something to cover her lost front tooth right away. Dr. Rob truly cares of his patients than making money. Great Place! I chose Pacific Coast orthodontist on the strong recommendations of other patients and they were right. This is a professional establishment. They know what they are doing and they outlined treatment options quickly and easily. They outlined all the steps and are very attentive, once treatment begins. The whole staff is very friendly, but also very skilled. I definitely recommend to get traditional braces with Dr. Van Den Berg. I have 11 months left and my teeth look great! Can't wait for the final results! Thanks! read more

Dr. V is amazing and very professional to work with. I saw him when I was in middle school and I am currently post college graduate. I went in for a check-up re: my retainer and it has been more than 12 years since my last visit- let me tell you that the quality of his care has not changed one bit. His office is clean, modern, and friendly. I currently live in Alaska but I waited until I flew in to visit my family then I also stopped by Dr. V's office. Worth the wait! read more

Dr. Van den Berg and his staff are so great with the kids and we are amazed at the job he has done with our kids teeth! They are always courteous, on time and just have the right attitude toward their patients. My son has been going to PCO for the past 18 months and today was his last day of Invisalign. We have had a great experience with Dr. VDB and his entire staff. Appointments were easy to make, no wait time and everyone was always friendly. Invisalign definitely requires more discipline but it's relatively painless compared to braces and you're able to eat anything. I wish I had that option when I had my teeth done! When we went in today they had an entire table set up with banners, candy and a sign that said congrats to my son. That made his day. I highly recommend PCO! read more

I am extremely satisfied with the work and care Dr. Van Den Berg and his team provide. I have undergone Invisalign treatment with them, and am super-happy with the outcome. I rarely leave bad reviews but our experience here did not feel like we were at a professional office. We have consulted with several orthodontists in the San Ramon area and this was the ONLY bad experience we had. We waited over an hour today for a consultation without any explanation for the delay. When you go to the website, it tells you the top 10 reasons to choose this practice. Number two is that "you will be seen on time." When we decided to leave and explained our frustration, the assistant did not even apologize. She just said, "ok.\;" no apology or explanation. Then Dr. Van Den Berg came over. After I explained our reason for leaving, he did apologize, but it did not feel genuine, and his excuse was that his front desk person left early (she left when we checked in). I told him that, if there was going to be delay like this, they should have told us. I explained to him that things happen, but there was zero communication and I reminded him what he himself included on his website about being on time. Also, not sure how a front desk person leaving early explains any delay on his part as the practice is not a busy one. In the hour we were there, there were only 3 other patients. Every other practice we have consulted with has multiple assistants and dozens of patients, which gives potential clients more confidence to see a bustling practice. I don't think there are many people who would have had the patience to wait an entire hour without any communication about the delay especially for an out of pocket professional service. Very disappointed. read more

I can strongly recommend PCO for both Invisalign and regular braces. After my teens successfully got great smiles with traditional braces, I decided it was my turn ( never too late) and entered the world of Invisalign. Dr. Rob always finds the best solution and has a very realistic approach. But it is his Wonderful team and amazing technical assistant that makes your visit fun and easy. #smilelikeaboss #PCO #Splash read more

I transferred my Invisalign treatment to Dr. Van den Berg when I moved from out of state. Based on my experience with my previous orthodontist, I thought the treatment was pretty cut and dry--you just follow the outline that Invisalign provides. After meeting with Dr. Van den Berg, I realized this was not the case. His expertise became immediately obvious when he determined tweeks and changes that needed to be made to keep my teeth on track. He even started a brand new treatment with me when it was apparent that the path I was on wasn't effective enough. He knew immediately when something wasn't working and took the appropriate steps to course-correct. My teeth were so bad, I only expected them to be "better" than they were, but my results are AMAZING! And, the entire staff is so kind, warm, and friendly. I ALWAYS had a pleasant experience no matter who was assisting me. I can't thank you all enough! read more

Dr. Van Den Berg is a fantastic orthodontist. Very professional, always courteous and accommodating. Two years ago when I began Invisalign treatment, I found Dr. Van Den Berg's practice through Invisalign's recommendation, as well as asking around the local community. He came very highly recommended all the way around and I now know why. Having taken part in some of Inivisaligns developments as well as the extensive training he's received, I felt my teeth were in good hands. Turns out I was right. He was spot on with diagnosis and a best course of treatment. I felt very "taken care of" during the treatment process. All that combined with a knowledgeable and friendly staff to address your every concern, I recommend Dr.Van Den Berg and his team without any reservation what so ever. Great job Dr. V!!! read more

We really wanted to tell everyone how GREAT!! Dr. Van den Berg is. We were going to a dentist next door to him, and would pass by all the time. We wish we would have gone in and saw him first. We did not, and went to an Orthodontist our dentist referred. What a big mistake. I am not going to that dentist anymore either. He is kind, gentle and does not try to add anything you do not need.
