Honestly, it's the best program my kids have ever participated in. I highly recommend!

My daughter had to miss the recital because she was ill and it took months to get her costume. Every time I called, I was told that the owner would call me back. This didn't happen, so I decided to send email so that I had proof. I just wanted a costume that I paid over $100 for! When the owner finally contaxted me, I was told that everything from the recital was still in a trailer or attic and they needed to go through it. Hmmmm ok. It took MONTHS before they finally had the costume for me. So ridiculous. I should also mention that the Puyallup location I so gross! Dirty facility. Parents let their babies and toddlers run all over the place and leave trash. I couldn't believe it. No one asks them to be polite and stop talking inappropriately and loudly. It smells like dirty diapers. "Regulars" are dropped off and treat the facility like a dumpster. Yuck. Classes always started late as well.

The positive reviews must be from people who haven't been there long or something. My daughter danced there for 4 years and she loved it except for the last year and a half, which luckily was Covid so she had an easy way out. She was tired of being bullied and yelled at by coaches the owner. If you think I'm kidding, read the reviews below. This is not how our children should be treated. In addition to the unorganization, the "business model" is brilliant, for the owners, not the customer. They get your credit card and charge away. there's no possible way to track all the fees and charges and I believe it's that way by design. Just a complete mess. Stay away!!

Allegro has been amazing! It feels like a family and second home for my daughter and there is so much room for her to grow with Allegro as she ages. We absolutely love the owner, staff, and teachers and communication with parents is excellent. I would recommend to those who are wanting to dance at any level from recreational to those with processional aspirations. My daughter has received top training and has had the most incredible teachers over the years!! She trains in every style offered and I fully believe she'd live at the studio if possible :D Additionally I recommend checking out their amazing competition team program. A BIG thing I love is that they offer sensory friendly performances and have a beautiful danceABLE program. I really don't feel there is anywhere else like Allegro in WA state. Thank you Allegro for being my daughter's home away from home.

I saw an opportunity for a theater camp in the summer for Shrek Jr the Musical. So, on a whim, I signed them up. At 8 and 11yo, they were nervous but very excited. They had no theater, singing or acting experience. I was honestly blown away after 2 weeks of prep, they were signing in front of a packed house and loving every minute of it. It honestly brought tears to my eyes seeing my shy kids flourishing on stage. They have continued to want to be in every production since! They have found great comradery with other kids who really enjoy theater and love their teacher, Ms. Candace. They come out of every practice with a smile in a good mood. They just completed The Music Man Jr and are ready for the next one. I love that each production includes every student in the cast. I appreciate the teaching of stage presence and makeup and costumes. My oldest loves making her costumes for her sister and herself. I highly recommend CDT for theater. It's a very inclusive and supportive place. Thank you for letting my kids shine on stage.

But…read morefor the last couple of years, my husband and I were unhappy due to the lack of financial transparency and poor communication between the owners Annalise and Joe Espinosa. I also did not like the lack of security in the parking lot and between the buildings where the children walked between classes. Many cars were broken into during business hours while children were dancing and there are no security cameras between buildings. When the original coaches left, we knew we couldn't keep our dancer there. The Surge Dance Center owes us $600.50 and refuses to refund us. Things that I paid for includes charges for costumes that were never ordered and competition fees that were fully refunded to the Surge, but not to me.

I feel compelled to share this review to combat that overwhelming conflict of interest demonstrated…read moreby the family, employees, and minors being solicited by the owners of this studio to post 5-star reviews. Long story short, the owners of this studio owe dozens of former clients hundreds of dollars each, for outstanding credits on our accounts in direct violation of the State AG's order that requires cash refunds rather than credits. Our family is owed nearly $500 and there are thousands more owed to others. I've held my tongue for long enough. Imagine being so petty, as a dance studio owner, that you would refuse to release a convention scholarship to the kid who earned it just because they have moved on to a different studio. You, as the former studio, have no use for it, but you feel the need to punish the CHILD out of some misguided vendetta. Now imagine that this is dozens of students who just want to enjoy dance. We left on good terms. We completed our contract despite the challenges of early COVID that saw the owners strangely absent. There is no legitimate reason that we should not recoup those credits, particularly as they are refunds for costumes that the owners never purchased for our children. So much wrong with the way these folks have handled this. They ran their business with poor cash-flow practices that left them vulnerable and "compensated" labor and refunds via "credit" rather than true compensation. It would not surprise me to learn that employees were treated as independent contractors, "volunteers" working in exchange for tuition for their children, or paid under the table to avoid payroll fees or taxes. Families have been left without costumes paid for pre-covid but never purchased or distributed by the studio. Hundreds owed to former clients who were not refunded fees for competitions that never happened. Given the option to take a 50% refund in cash or 100% in store credit before anyone knew the full extent of COVID's impact...again, for money for competitions that never occurred. Money that was refunded to the studio by the competition organizers, but never fully repaid to the clients. Perhaps the $80,000 acquired through PPP loans could offset your poor business decisions. Perhaps that money went, instead to the studio opened in LA in yhe midst of the chaos in this location.. A year after the bottom fell out and families are still fighting to be made financially whole. Now imagine, after all of this, you attend a zoning hearing to protest the proposed location of a new studio formed by the people who left. A studio to be located in a city where you hold neither a business nor a residence. Arguing on the grounds of what you ignorantly claim to be inevitable parking issues blindly based on business assumptions regarding a model you know nothing about, in neighborhood that eagerly supports the new studio. Imagine stalking your former employees and clients in an effort to undermine their current and future endeavors out of some vendetta you have cooked up to demonize those of us who moved on. Stay classy, Surge...
