We moved to Allegro this dance season from another local studio at the recommendation of a friend when I expressed that we were looking for a studio that would push our daughter a little more than the one she was previously with. Allegro has been amazing! It feels like a family and second home for my daughter and there is so much room for her to grow with Allegro as she ages. LOVE! My now 13 year old daughter has danced with Allegro since we moved to WA when she was 9 :) The atmosphere at Allegro is bustling and vibrant. We absolutely love the owner, staff, and teachers and communication with parents is excellent. I would recommend to those who are wanting to dance at any level from recreational to those with processional aspirations. My daughter has received top training and has had the most incredible teachers over the years!! She trains in every style offered and I fully believe she'd live at the studio if possible :D Additionally I recommend checking out their amazing competition team program. When we first moved to WA, I started hunting for a dance studio for my then 3yo. We had a lot of options close to our house, but I got a good feeling about Allegro, even though it was a bit farther away. Six years later and I'm still certain we made the right decision. We have been going to Allegro for a few months now. Our kids are in the hip hop class. My son loves it because boys are in the class! The quality of instructors seems high and the front desk lady/owner seems sweet and answers questions kindly despite being overwhelmed looking at times. The prices are reasonable and my kids enjoy going. The only reason I didn't give it five stars, is because the place needs some updating. The parking (which they cant do much about) is horrendous on Friday nights. The inside smells like an old dog kennel. Not sure if its the old carpets or what (and needs new paint perhaps), but I am one of many parents who have commented on this. Also, if you happen to have a Friday night class in one of the back rooms, its absolutely congested and crazy. Not much moving space to be had for parents. I am told that other evening classes then Friday are a bit less congested. With some interior improvements, this place would not only be top notch with their service but also their environment; which would be nice since parents are stuck there for an hour a week as it is. read more

My family recently made a change to our home studio, and we couldn't be more pleased to have joined the Allegro family. The transition has been seamless and I cant not speak highly enough of how welcoming everyone has been. The studio space is large, inviting, and offers great amenities, such as a healthy snack cart, and a quiet homework lounge. The dancer's have made my daughter feel like she has been here forever, and the teaching staff are patient, open, and approachable. As a new parent to this program, I have had a lot of questions and I have found the front desk ladies to be knowledgeable, accommodating, and willing to go above and beyond to help me find the answers I need. My daughter started pre dance here about 6 months ago. I was a little worried since she's only 4 and didn't know how she'd adapt. The staff at allegro is amazing. My daughter absolutely loves coming to dance. Her teacher Ricki-lyn is great with the girls she teaches. The assistant teacher Olivia is also amazing. My daughter loves her teachers and loves dance. About a year ago, I started searching for a place for my daughter to attend dance. I found a few places, but they were all $80-110/month and most did not even encourage children under five. Even though Kent was a bit of a drive for us, I decided to go for the better value and enrolled my daughter in Allegro's pre-dance class. They have several classes to choose from, which is great for varying schedules. They cover both tap and ballet on the pre-dance class, once a week for 45 minutes. I feel like it's just the right amount of time to keep the young ones' attention. The teacher and teaching assistant are both great with my daughter's class. They have two showcases a year, summer and fall, and teach them a routine, alternating in each tap or ballet, while working on the skills of the other. The classes work out to about $15 each. The staff is very good about refunding you if you miss a class or, if you need time out of the class, stopping the payment until your child returns. I love Allegro and will continue sending my daughter there (boys are welcome, too). I'm looking forward to my daughter trying out the pre-dance Jazz/Hip Hop in Fall! read more

Poorly organized office/administration. Over charged us, made us fill out the wrong forms, some ladies in the office told us to do things that other ladies in the office told us not to. They are not in communication with one another, so they tell you different things. Its kind of like a cattle lot in there - just pushing as many kids through as they can with little instruction. The instructor just watches all the girls in the dance class go across the floor trying to do a specific move and doesn't correct or intervene to teach them the real way to do it. We almost didn't get our daughters costume in time for the final show - and the instructor said that the office was supposed to call us. They never did. I stood in the office doorway waiting for 1/2 hour to drop off a form they told me to fill out. (It wasn't even the right form I was supposed to fill out anyways - but they gave it to me and instructed me to fill it out anyways.) The lady saw me standing there waiting and didn't even acknowledge me. We don't trust them with our credit card for automatic payments. We have pulled our daughter and we're wondering if they'll be able to stop our auto payments as asked to by the new year. After mistake after mistake in dealing with this office, we are skeptical they'll get something right. They also only allowed us to have 3 tickets to the final show, so only one of the grandparents can go - the other one has to stay home. Its been a pretty pathetic experience dealing with this organization. We saw that Allegro had good reviews, so we drove our child from our home in auburn to kent to attend this dance studio....but the other previous positive reviews don't characterize this business very well at all. read more
