Most importantly, they know how to encourage the kids to learn. My kid learned a lot during her time there. She even tried herself to play a few advanced pieces for recitals over the years. She out grew the school after a couple of years with Ms Leah and Hannah. It's too bad they don't offer 1-1 lessons. I was sad to pull her out for 1-1 lessons now. But, I strongly recommend Do Re Mi for young beginners!

Color Me surprised when I saw that Waterbabies was offering a once a month free swim hour in the Kent rec catalog. So, we decided to give it a try. It's only about 16 minutes from my house so it's not too far to go. Getting there was not very tricky. I followed my GPS, which led me behind a bar at the far end of a business complex. Parking has always been easy to find, even a close spot near the door. We've been here three times since and my girls love going. To be honest, I love going too. But what sets it apart from other pools is that they have really awesome foam toys that I had never seen before, like a floating foam slide and a foam canoe that fits two. They also have lots of handheld toys, rings, and goggles to use. They have the larger pool, which is 4 ft throughout, and they have a smaller one by the door. My one gripe with using the local pool was that it was always a fight to get a shower afterwards...But not here. We've always been able to walk right into the changing room, shower with pleasantly hot water, and know that our belongings are safely stored in one of their lockers. One convenience feature I also saw was a pack and play available for moms with babies that need corralling. All of the staff is very nice, with even keel, reasonable energy. You don't get overtalked to, but everybody is informed in case you have questions. It's been a really great experience coming here and I hope they continue to offer this monthly family swim!

Update they made it right added a few stars…read more I had my daughter's birthday here. We weren't impressed by the lack of communication and how long it took to get a reply and book the party. It's nice you have the entire space for just your group and you can use all the water toys they have. Which is a ton of fun toys. The party space was a good size for the group of 12 kids but their wasn't a lot of extra chairs for the adults. I liked that we were allowed to tape decorations. You are responsible for setting up the whole room. The tables were all folded in the corner and chairs in stacks. The huge negative was the pizza package that was clearly stated on the website to include juice, water, plates, napkins, and forks... When we ordered it it wasn't mentioned they didn't include those anymore we found out a few minutes before the party was going to start! One of us had to run to the store to buy the needed things and missed half the swimming time for my daughter's birthday. If it was just me I don't know what I would have been able to do to get the needed supplies and watch my kids... If we had known none of those were included and it was only the pizza I could have bought and picked up the pizza for a lot cheaper since dominos is in the same complex as the pool. And I would have been prepared with the items we needed.

The front desk staff (Malissa and Sou) are organized, structured, and most important kind and friendly. We get addressed by our names and a warm smile every time we enter the space. Once we had a small issue, and it was acknowleged and addressed immediately. Nothing was swept under the rug, so you can always feel like you're safe and taken care of. I like that it's a community of parents, teachers, staff and dancers. We have a group chat called 'Ballet Moms' where we update each other when the girls are done, need to sign up for things and especially helpful during performance season. It's the main reason why we sign up for so many classes and volunteer more than what's required. Lastly, the instructors are wonderful. We've had Ms. Tatiana, Mr. Romain, Ms. Paulina and Ms. Anna as teachers and all have made a lasting impact!

Watching his growth over these past few months has been amazing, and we owe so much of that to the wonderful, caring staff. When he first started, it was a big transition--he had been home with me since birth, and adjusting to a new environment and new caregivers was tough. He cried a lot and had trouble napping at first. But the staff was so patient and gentle with him through it all. Their support and consistency helped him feel safe and loved, and it made all the difference. Now, he's excited to go to school--he even runs into the classroom and forgets to say goodbye! As a parent, there's nothing better than knowing your child feels happy, secure, and cared for. Thank you to everyone at Bright Horizons at Longacres for helping him grow into such a confident little person. We are so grateful.

If you look at the staff picture wall by the entrance only a handful of teachers have been there longer than a year. We also noticed that staff can be very stressed at times due to being shuffled around from class to class. We finally left (intending it to be temporary) due to our second child being born. Our son had his pictures taken right before we gave our notice and requested to purchase it as well but we never heard back after multiple attempts. TL:DR Depending on the teacher that you have your experience can vary by a lot. If management can do a better job with keeping the staff less stressed/happy I don't think we would hesitate with coming back.

My daughter had to miss the recital because she was ill and it took months to get her costume. Every time I called, I was told that the owner would call me back. This didn't happen, so I decided to send email so that I had proof. I just wanted a costume that I paid over $100 for! When the owner finally contaxted me, I was told that everything from the recital was still in a trailer or attic and they needed to go through it. Hmmmm ok. It took MONTHS before they finally had the costume for me. So ridiculous. I should also mention that the Puyallup location I so gross! Dirty facility. Parents let their babies and toddlers run all over the place and leave trash. I couldn't believe it. No one asks them to be polite and stop talking inappropriately and loudly. It smells like dirty diapers. "Regulars" are dropped off and treat the facility like a dumpster. Yuck. Classes always started late as well.

The positive reviews must be from people who haven't been there long or something. In addition to the unorganization, the "business model" is brilliant, for the owners, not the customer. I have been trying to resolve an ongoing noise issue with the nearby daycare in a respectful and…read morereasonable manner, but unfortunately my experience has been disappointing. When I called the main customer service number, I spoke with a very kind representative who assured me that the district manager would contact me to discuss my concerns. Unfortunately, I never received that callback. I also spoke with the school manager directly. In my experience, the conversation was dismissive rather than productive. I explained that the prolonged, high-pitched screaming from a few children echoes throughout the surrounding apartment community and has become a daily disruption for nearby residents. I was told that the children are allowed to scream as a form of self-expression. While I understand the importance of allowing children to express themselves, I believe there should also be reasonable consideration for the people who live nearby and are affected by the constant noise. I work from home several days each week, and the screaming is loud enough to be heard clearly inside my apartment, even with the windows closed. This has become a recurring quality-of-life issue. If this continues without any effort to address it, I will have no choice but to contact the local police non-emergency line to request a welfare check whenever I hear prolonged screaming that reasonably causes concern. When children are screaming continuously at such an extreme volume, it can be difficult for nearby residents to distinguish normal play from a child who may genuinely need help. I sincerely hope the daycare will work with the surrounding community so that this situation can be resolved without further escalation.
