My daughter and I had such a special experience dancing together and even winning first place as a team -- it's a memory we'll treasure forever. Thank you for creating such a warm and encouraging environment for the kids (and even dance moms like me ). The instructor for this kpop dance class, Emily, was amazing and fun to learn from! She spoke both Mandarin and English and was able to teach in either languages. The class was super fun and we had a great time. The only room for improvement was that I wished they had cubbies for storing our belongings. We had to put our jackets and purses on the floor. The 3 rooms were right next to each other, and we could hear music from other rooms during the class. But it was not a big deal to me as I was enjoying the class. Restrooms were shared with the building; no code needed. Parking was easy as the studio was in a plaza, and there was a parking lot. There were also restaurants in the same plaza that we could go to after the class.

At PNB it takes a lot of work and effort but is is worth it and necessary for building a strong dancer. The teachers here are kind but not afraid to tell you if you are doing something wrong and how to improve. PNB also cares for the mental and physical health of there dancers. Starting in level 6 they start having mental and nutritional seminars once every month. PNB will give students chances to dance on stage and experience what it is like to be dancing in front of a crowd with there productions such as The Nutcracker, Coppélia, A Midsummer Nights Dream and many more. I HIGHLY recommend this company if you love to dance.

This has been a great studio for my daughter. Beth and her staff are very professional and…read moretalented. This past year during the pandemic, Beth and her staff accommodated each student's needs. Many students danced with masks and other precautions in the studio, while classes were also available virtually for families that preferred that. My daughter was in virtual classes and really enjoyed them. The teachers made a point to include the students at home, while also providing instruction in the classroom. The virtual students joined classes at the end of the year and were able to take part in an outdoor recital, it was a wonderful show. My daughter started in this studio at age three, and just completed her final year as a senior. RSDS is a great place to dance.

I just completed my first year at RSDS in an adult tap group. I had previously been at another…read morestudio for 20+ years prior but I moved and it was time to find a new studio. The most important piece for me was finding a studio that offered something beyond beginner tap and a studio that is certified by Dance Master of America-RSDS fit that criteria. The studio rooms are quite spacious and have viewing windows so others can view from the outside throughout the year without being distracting. There is plenty of parking outside and there is an office area where you can pay your tuition or purchase items in their dancer shop. My class was great. Many of my classmates had been dancing together for years and welcomed me with open arms. My instructor was Beth, the owner, she is a wonderful teacher and is really focused on helping dancers with their technique. This studio is a positive space that encourages dancers to learn and grow. I was fortunate to watch the recital (and also participate) and I was blown away by the talent of the dancers and choreographers.

The studio is sandwiched between PC Restaurant and Five Guys with ample parking space where it is easy to get in and out. They provide a free trial class when you are unsure if the class is going to workout for your child. The school offers ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, musical theater and adult classes too. Their registration fee is minimal per family and class rates are competitive too. They welcome families every six weeks into the classroom for observation which is a great way to ask questions and connect with your child's teacher. Although, they do not have large observation windows, instructors often keep doors open (if it's not too loud in the waiting area) or are also open to have visitors upon request when families are concern about their child's class. Their website, quarterly newsletters and Facebook page keeps us informed with pertinent details about the studio and upcoming events. If your child loves to perform, this studio is the place to be as they give ample opportunities for your young dancer to perform in the community in their school's companies. One of the factors that I appreciate most at this school is that they seem to keep their faculty constant. Unlike other studios I have experienced in the past, turnovers were high and the staff seemed young and lack on teaching experience. Their faculty genuinely care about their students as individuals. The teachers are well versed in their craft and are educated both with higher education degrees and industry experience in national and international companies. If you have a budding dancer, Washington School of Dance starts as young as 18 months through adults.
