The recital last June was amazing, and can't wait to see what they cook up for the next one.

The building itself has a great theatre vibe, which there should be I guess, it's also very clean, and the seats are comfy. There did seem to be a small counter to buy food and/or drink items but we didn't use that. There was a small water fountain available for water which I found very helpful. Would certainly go back and support this small local theatre. We were able to find parking on a side street nearby which was convenient.

If you live near either of the two venues, you will enjoy your experience when you attend a show. I spent the first 34 years of my life in the New York City area. Beginning in the mid-1950s, I started attending Broadway shows. When I moved to the Issaquah area in 1978, I was lucky to find the Village Theater, first in an old movie theater then in the state-of-the-art Francis J. Gaudette Theater (beginning in 1979). Would you like to escape the news and events of today? I did. And last night for two and a half glorious hours, through the magic of the Village Theater (Issaquah and Everett WA), I was transported back to the year I graduated from high school (in NY), 1959. The cast has wonderful actors, singers and dancers. The set is primarily a high school gym from that era. An unbilled star of the show is Greased Lightning, the car. The music is timeless. The band is typical of the bands of that time: guitars, bass, saxophone, drums. Do yourself a favor and go.

Such an awesome evening!!…read more I had be looking for something different to do and realized it's been forever since I've gone to a play. I went to all of the local theaters and found that Accomplice by Rupert Holmes sounded delightfully entertaining! Getting tickets was super easy through Renton Civic's website and they gave me multiple ways to retrieving my tickets. I was happy to see the bar! AND you're allowed to take your goodies into the theater with you! This was an extra bonus because they've decided that masks are still required. Theater itself is super small and pretty retro, but it was well maintained and clean. Bathrooms are upstairs and the ladies room only had 2 stalls with one sink, so if you don't get there early you're probably not going before intermission is over! Overall a really great way to spend an evening; I know I'm looking forward to going to another show!

My friend and I visited on a weekend afternoon amongst a fairly large crowd... I'm glad we purchased our tkts in advance, although, I heard while waiting to get in there were tkts available at the boxoffice. The big selling point for me continues to be its local community theater, good entertainment with variety of ages and interests catering to their audience and a pleasant surprise REMODELING! I enjoyed the sprucing up features to the theater especially the seats I'll be back and bringing more of my peeps!

There is one hindrance to going social dancing: coming up with choreography for your follow. In other words, we "leads" need to come up with a routine (by staying one or two steps ahead of our "follow") and then effectively communicate that to her with our frame + hands. This is hard. No way around it. It is hard to lead. This is a significant roadblock on the way to social dancing. Believe me, there is a ton of social dancing opportunities here in Seattle. The whole reason for taking classes is to go social dancing. Well, if you are afraid to go, what is the point? Well, I met up with John Chau, owner and founder of LDX Latin dance. As a male, he knows the struggle of leading and a "frozen mind." I decided to take private classes with him because he has a system which is logical and takes some of the pressure off of the memory by making it easy to come with variations on the moves you already know. Just a few classes into this and my confidence is already improved. Based on what I have learned so far, I have no hesitation recommending LDX Latin dance and PRIVATE lessons with John, esp you men out there who suffer from stage fight and a frozen mind on the dance floor. One tip: if you can bring a follow with you, that will help. She can practice with you on days you are not in class, as well as attend social dances with you. Then, when you come back to class, the two of you can work together so you both improve. I highly recommend John Chau and LDX Latin Dance in Renton if you want to increase your salsa dancing skills.

Ok this place is super cool. I can't believe I only found out about this venue recently!…read more To get to the theater, you go around the corner from the bar entrance and through this back alleyway door. It feels very covert, like you need to know a guy who knows a guy with a password to get in. You can also enter through the bar (I think). We initially went through the side door to get our tickets scanned in and then went in and out of the bar between acts to grab a drink. We weren't able to bring drinks into the actual theater, but not a huge deal. If anything, keeps the venue cleaner. There aren't any seats, just tiered standing platforms. Honestly, even with it being packed, I felt like we had a pretty good view of ~80% of the stage. The one thing I will say is that with everyone standing, you would think there'd be more movement/dancing. But alas, this is still Seattle and most people were bopping their heads to the music while I just wanted to swing around and feel it in my soul.

There is available street parking however it can be tricky and limited due to the narrow streets. The theater shares an entrance with a jazz bar which provides a comfortable seating area to enjoy a drink while waiting for a show. We came to see the Rocky Horror Burlesque Pastie Show and was impressed at the capacity of this small theater. Beyond the hallway, patrons are immediately welcomed to second bar and a sea of padded chairs. The theater was packed with Rocky Horror Picture fans with some proudly wearing costumes of their favorite characters. The show started a little later than advertised however we were kept entertained during the slight delay. The seats were comfortable and we had an unobstructed view of the stage. This was our first time seeing a Rocky Horror Show in burlesque and we didn't know what to expect. Audience participation was encouraged and specific names (which I will not repeat) were yelled out when either Brad or Janet took the stage. Overall, a wonderful group adventure night full of sing-a-longs, heckling, and cocktails. Drink prices and show tickets were cheap compared to other venues.
