My 2yr old loves it here, the teachers are great with our kiddos. I look forward to many more years of dance at this studio.

This is not a good place for parents. 96 percent of them are brown nosing fake arse liers. 3 percent make up the owners and staff. Be sick too many times...fine Show up sick...fine Don't like kissing butt...fine (Unless you constantly brown nose the owners) Friendly advice...enroll your kid for dance..drop them off for class..then wait in your vehicle until your kid is done. My daughter had to miss the recital because she was ill and it took months to get her costume. Every time I called, I was told that the owner would call me back. This didn't happen, so I decided to send email so that I had proof. I just wanted a costume that I paid over $100 for! When the owner finally contaxted me, I was told that everything from the recital was still in a trailer or attic and they needed to go through it. Hmmmm ok. It took MONTHS before they finally had the costume for me. So ridiculous. I should also mention that the Puyallup location I so gross! Dirty facility. Parents let their babies and toddlers run all over the place and leave trash. I couldn't believe it. No one asks them to be polite and stop talking inappropriately and loudly. It smells like dirty diapers. "Regulars" are dropped off and treat the facility like a dumpster. Yuck. Classes always started late as well.

We absolutely love the owner, staff, and teachers and communication with parents is excellent. I would recommend to those who are wanting to dance at any level from recreational to those with processional aspirations. My daughter has received top training and has had the most incredible teachers over the years!! She trains in every style offered and I fully believe she'd live at the studio if possible :D Additionally I recommend checking out their amazing competition team program. A BIG thing I love is that they offer sensory friendly performances and have a beautiful danceABLE program. I really don't feel there is anywhere else like Allegro in WA state. Thank you Allegro for being my daughter's home away from home.

There is one hindrance to going social dancing: coming up with choreography for your follow. In other words, we "leads" need to come up with a routine (by staying one or two steps ahead of our "follow") and then effectively communicate that to her with our frame + hands. This is hard. No way around it. It is hard to lead. This is a significant roadblock on the way to social dancing. Believe me, there is a ton of social dancing opportunities here in Seattle. The whole reason for taking classes is to go social dancing. Well, if you are afraid to go, what is the point? Well, I met up with John Chau, owner and founder of LDX Latin dance. As a male, he knows the struggle of leading and a "frozen mind." I decided to take private classes with him because he has a system which is logical and takes some of the pressure off of the memory by making it easy to come with variations on the moves you already know. Just a few classes into this and my confidence is already improved. Based on what I have learned so far, I have no hesitation recommending LDX Latin dance and PRIVATE lessons with John, esp you men out there who suffer from stage fight and a frozen mind on the dance floor. One tip: if you can bring a follow with you, that will help. She can practice with you on days you are not in class, as well as attend social dances with you. Then, when you come back to class, the two of you can work together so you both improve. I highly recommend John Chau and LDX Latin Dance in Renton if you want to increase your salsa dancing skills.

I am also really disappointed in the comments of Laura Gray. Though a talented costume mistress, Mrs Gray is not directly involved in or a part of the discussions in regards to the hiring of myself. I am the person referenced as the Director in her review and find this to be completely unnecessary and frankly against everything that community theatre stands for. The AUBURN AVE offers a wide and diverse season of shows that play to and involve people of all walks of life. Community Arts as a whole is often mis-labeled and expected to be held to the unrealistic standard of professional theatre. We all have a place in this community and it really upsets me that people don't see the importance of exposing people to the arts. Everyone in the community get a chance to be involved and THAT is what strengthens and builds a community. The review posted earlier today (1/7/22) was disrespectful, unfounded and in poor taste. I have been in touch with the man in charge whom just finished a sold out production of ELF the musical. This not only had the largest cast but also managed to succeed despite Covid 19 restrictions and it being performed during the hectic holiday season. I hope that people will read this and realize that the arts are what make us human and help us to explore , dream and connect. Anything that stops that is taking us away from its purpose. Auburn Ave is a great place ran by a man that I am excited to work for.
