I'm really sad that people utilize this to shame, speculate and slander people whose mission is to…read moreprovide opportunities for our community. I am also really disappointed in the comments of Laura Gray. Though a talented costume mistress, Mrs Gray is not directly involved in or a part of the discussions in regards to the hiring of myself. I am the person referenced as the Director in her review and find this to be completely unnecessary and frankly against everything that community theatre stands for. The AUBURN AVE offers a wide and diverse season of shows that play to and involve people of all walks of life. Community Arts as a whole is often mis-labeled and expected to be held to the unrealistic standard of professional theatre. We all have a place in this community and it really upsets me that people don't see the importance of exposing people to the arts. Everyone in the community get a chance to be involved and THAT is what strengthens and builds a community. The review posted earlier today (1/7/22) was disrespectful, unfounded and in poor taste. I have been in touch with the man in charge whom just finished a sold out production of ELF the musical. This not only had the largest cast but also managed to succeed despite Covid 19 restrictions and it being performed during the hectic holiday season. I hope that people will read this and realize that the arts are what make us human and help us to explore , dream and connect. Anything that stops that is taking us away from its purpose. Auburn Ave is a great place ran by a man that I am excited to work for.

LOVE! My now 13…read moreyear old daughter has danced with Allegro since we moved to WA when she was 9 :) The atmosphere at Allegro is bustling and vibrant. We absolutely love the owner, staff, and teachers and communication with parents is excellent. I would recommend to those who are wanting to dance at any level from recreational to those with processional aspirations. My daughter has received top training and has had the most incredible teachers over the years!! She trains in every style offered and I fully believe she'd live at the studio if possible :D Additionally I recommend checking out their amazing competition team program. A BIG thing I love is that they offer sensory friendly performances and have a beautiful danceABLE program. I really don't feel there is anywhere else like Allegro in WA state. Thank you Allegro for being my daughter's home away from home.

Allegro has been amazing! It feels like a family and second home for my daughter and there is so much room for her to grow with Allegro as she ages. Lovely teachers, the owner is always friendly and present and checks on the classes, students, and parents. We love it at Allegro and will be there for years to come.

I didn't even know that Federal Way had a performing arts center but I was pleasantly surprised…read morethat it did. I almost always go to Seattle for concerts and any type of events really and the fact that I live in Tacoma and Federal Way is considerably closer I didn't hesitate to go to the event held here. I saw Henry Rollins, yes the singer who was in Black Flag and the Rollins Band who has taken to the stage in spoken word form rather than music. The show was awesome as we all learned of Henry's childhood and youth and other bands that he played with along with making music. His presentation was touching, honest, thought provoking and funny. Very satisfying! The parking was surprisingly not as difficult to get in and out from the center as I thought. Leaving is always harder than coming in going off of other concert experiences from this year but this was not nearly as long or as tedious as venues I have gone to this year. The organization inside the building was efficient and confident with getting the audience where they needed to go and nothing about that was overwhelming as this is a smaller venue which also helps with crowd direction. Good experience coming here and would love to return for more events!

NOT A HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY VENUE! I went to a concert there last night. I walk with a walker or a…read morecane. Needless to say, the walker is inconvenient in crowds, so I opted for my cane. Upon arrival, my friend that drove, dropped me off at the door as close parking was unavailable. I could wait in the entry way, not the lobby, while she parked a distance away. Understandable, as she had the tickets, that I couldn't access the lobby. We had an enjoyable time at the event. It was my first time attending anything there and was considering checking out future events, maybe a season pass as I let lapse my season tickets at the Intiman several years ago. After the event, we exited the venue. It was chilly and she had to retrieve her vehicle. Everyone was, of course leaving at the same time. I wanted to re-enter while I waited for her and have a place to sit. There, apparently is an invisible line, that if you cross, they won't let you return. We knew it was going to take her awhile, since she had to walk to her car and try to fight outgoing cars trying to get back to me. We explained the situation to the door "guards" and they wouldn't let me back in to sit down while I waited. The lobby still had people milling about waiting for the band to come out and visit with the patrons. I had my ticket stub proving I had paid. The answer was a condescending NO! So, I had to stand, leaning on my cane as my left leg went numb and felt like I had shoots of fire running up and down it. It was a considerable wait. I will never go back after this one visit. I am appalled they treat handicapped people in this manner!! Truly a horrendous experience. Please, if you are handicapped, BEWARE! You aren't going to be accommodated if you require anything outside the norm.

My daughter's wedding ceremony and reception were at the Liberty a couple of weeks ago. We were…read moreextremely happy with how everything turned out. We received many nice compliments on the food, done by Galluci's, who runs this event center now. The decor was beautiful and the more vintage-style setting suited the wedding couple well. The staff worked quietly and efficiently and assured that everything went as planned. Dancing in the orchestra pit was a treat, and the ceremony up on a stage with great viewing for all is such a plus. The staff bent over backwards to make sure everything went well. We have more of a story to share. We originally booked this venue under previous management over a year prior to the wedding. The change of event management was traumatic for the staff involved and for us, as a customer. But Ron Galluci promised us he would honor the previous event manager's contract and prices, although, admittedly, they were probably lower than his current prices. The previous event manager had taken a hefty deposit from us, and the money was not available to Ron due to circumstances that I won't go into here. Suffice it to say, Ron gave us credit for that deposit, anyway, to keep our booking, yes, but also because he knew the predicament we were in with the loss of the previous event manager. We really appreciated him working with us on this! We may have had to repeat a meeting or two, and as Galluci's got organized in the venue, we may have had to repeat information to additional employees. But that was OK - we stuck with it because Ron had made promises to make us happy with the event, and that's the bottom line - we were VERY happy with it! Everyone's work was well worth every minute. If you are considering booking the Theater for your event, please know that you will be serviced well and the uniqueness of the Theater will be just one of the things your guests talk about for years to come. Polly in the office is great - their staff DJ, Adam, is wonderful with keeping the event moving along as planned, and even helped us with the wedding rehearsal and details around the ceremony - Tria is very efficient and just a very nice person to talk with - and Ron, the Galluci's owner, is a man of his word and committed to making the Theater the best it can be, which ought to be great! According to the Theater's Facebook page, more improvements are being made to the Theater. The wireless system was already worked on, and now new paint schemes are being discussed and planned for. We already thought the place looked pretty good! But we'd love to see the new colors and decor once they are done. Check out their Facebook page and website for pictures and planned events!
