Venardos Circus - My grandson's favorite performer. One of many we enjoyed. - Performing Arts Near Me

Directions to the venue were unclear. The sign pointing to Venardos parking pointed to the bottom of a hill with a whole lot of stairs going up to the tent. The other road I saw going up to it said staff only. Used a map app and still couldn't find a way in without lots and lots of stairs that I can't climb. They offered me a ticket another day but this was my only free day. I'm out 70 dollars. read more

If you're expecting a real circus, save your money. What you get instead is a handful of low‑effort tricks, including some that failed twice, and a performer who ran off without finishing his act. The Rollerblade stunt was done right in front of the first row with zero safety precautions. The whole thing feels cheap, sloppy, and not ready for paying audiences. read more

Vernardos circus always delivers an evening of fun. Funny clowns, daring aerialists, and ringmaster make for a great time for all ages. Not only for kids but lots of couples and seniors in the audience. This was our 3rd time. read more

Was looking for something to do this weekend and saw the circus plug on the local news. Sounded fun so we bought the VIP tix. We sat edge of stage on a hot day. The tent was cooled and the temp stayed comfortable. The show was way better than expected. Don't let the local mall parking lot fool you. Great talent and a bit of Broadway. Comedy was fun for everyone. We do Vegas three times a year, and all the shows there, as well. This talent was as good. Lights and costumes are fine, but talent is what makes a show. Highly recommend. read more

Such a fun show! Performers were amazing, great music, bright and colorful set up, wonderful all around! Show was 90 minutes with a 10 minute intermission. Just right, as we were entertained the whole time. They don't do a ton of advertising yet the shows seem to sell out so if you have a chance, do it! We bought the premium seats,(all seats are good, there aren't any behind so not sure what other reviewer was talking about) not VIP, and seats were great, facing stage, and venue is small so you really get to so performers faces and smiles!! Highly recommend! read more

What a fun and exciting show for both kids and adults! Great value too! The show is only 1.5 hours with a 15 minute intermission but the crowd size isn't too big and every seat is a great seat since it's such an intimate setting. No animals just some talented acrobats and entertainers pulling off amazing stunts right in front of your face! We opted for the VIP experience and sat right in front of the stage. We have a 4 year old and had a great time! There are concessions with old timey food options like pop corn, cotton candy and hot dogs. Drinks available as well and not cheap but not too crazy. We will definitely be attending their next show when they come back to San Antonio! Support this small show and get a great experience in return! read more

Went to the Circus earlier today. We had a great time. Everyone was super friendly. The acts were high quality and really amazing. The ticket process and concession purchases were cashless which made everything pretty easy. We highly recommend this circus for a really fun time. read more

Venardos Circus - Picture with Circus cast. Completely free after show. - Performing Arts Near Me

There's something beautifully nostalgic about seeing a circus tent but walking into one, lights lit, is magical. It feels like walking into a story and will likely be a core memory for my son. My son, five years old, LOVED it! I found myself grinning cheek to cheek while impressed by the talented performers. All of the merchandise was reasonably priced but make sure to buy early otherwise you might get stuck waiting in a long line -same goes for face painting (cash/card). As for refreshments, they sell: popcorn, cotton candy, nachos, pretzels, candy, snow cones, water and pink lemonade. The seating is standard (non-stadium) -old school chairs on the lawn. Close to the front seating is best but really any spot is great since a lot of the acts are on stage or aerial. There's no animals, no traditional clowns and the seating is limited and intimate. The way everything is setup, it truly feels like being transported back in time. I loved it so much that I plan to attend another show and highly recommend anyone who's interested to visit while it's in town! read more

I've been searching for a local circus to attend to as a now father to a 7 year old, i reminisced about how I longed to attend the Ringling Brother's circus as a child but my parents would never take me due to the expenses. I always got a free ticket from school but never made it there. Years later - travelling circuses seemed to have diminished as did my desire to go. After my daughter turned 6 I began to search again but read a lot of disappointing reviews from other circus goers - then there was Jordan World Circus coming to Bremerton, the tickets are reasonably priced, the reviews were pretty bad, but we went anyways. It was just as I expected for a cheap show (which isn't a good thing) but that's for another review. When I saw the advertisment for Venardos via Facebook, paired with the ticket pricing and the good reviews, I didnt hesitate to buy and I'm very glad that I did. Though the city (Tacoma) location isn't at the "top of my list to take my family" the Star Center area was very clean and nice. Right off the bat seeing the Venardo's tent setup and the quality of their trailers, i knew we were in for a treat. There wasnt a line at the door to get in and the greeters were amazingly nice and all so personable. one of the biggest things that I was impressed by was that each person designated to help us used their names and introduced others to us by name. That alone shows that these folks care for one another as they aren't just "circus workers" but people of Venardos circus. The decor inside was everything I dreamed a circus would be, albeit I dreamt of a grander stage but the intimate size of Venardos is what makes it all so very special. We opted for the premium seating as there was a better line of sight of the acts, however there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Kevin the ring master was captivating and literally larger than life (still can't figure out if he's that tall or was he wearing stilts). The sideshow guys were hilarious and fun to watch, the main acts was captivating and breath taking. My daughter and her cousins were mesmerized. The aerial acrobats had my daughter yelling "it's like watching AGT (america's got talent) in real life!" The strong men balancing act had her saying "they are so strong like the hulk! and they have so many muscles they look like their shirts are painted on." It was everything I expected and more. Nostalgic, funny, memorable, captivating, exciting, and most of all fun. At the end of the show, the entire cast of the acts stood on stage and took pictures with EVERYONE that wanted to. Truly an amazing time. This will definitely be a family tradition for many years to come! read more

My family and I attended the show yesterday, April 9th in Tempe, Az. What an absolute pleasure the experience was. Delightful and refreshing, wholesome and fun. The musical pieces accompanying the performers incredible display of their variety of talents have been carefully chosen and they've employed modern pieces which, along with the visual stimulation, left my strangely emotional at times. I was genuinely "WOW'd" on multiple occasions by the performers passionate display of skill. This is one presentation that I would happily attend time and time again. BRAVO..!!!!! read more

I took my family to the show, and one word WOW! I truly didn't expect it to be this good!! We all had an amazing time! It's something ALL ages can enjoy! I truly love how each performer not only is super talented, but was present and engaged with the crowed. It's intimate and exciting! Every single person that was a part of the circus was incredible, even down to the face painter and concession stand people. I was also impressed with how seem less everything was. Thank goodness we are blessed to have these type of things to look forward to again! If you are thinking about going... GO!! You will have a ball!! Took the family to the circus last night. They were set up at Wright Park. My six-year-old daughter absolutely loved it! Everyone was so friendly and personable and the show was very entertaining! We were delighted to see the circus online from home with our kids! This circus is imaginative, clean fun. Each performer has their own special niche and definitely entertains. We decorated our living room like a bohemian style circus tent and made organic hotdogs, had sweet treats on hand including licorice and caramel popcorn. The kids really enjoyed it and so did we. We even invited the grandparents and they watched from their home. What a wonderful way to connect when going places is difficult these days. The cameras and sound aren't perfect, but, it's from the comfort of your safe haven and they do their level best to entertain. We would do it again. Someday, when this circus comes to our town and we can safely be in crowds again, we're all in. Thank you wonderful performers and Kevin Venardos. Watched the story about your life and your dad would be so happy and proud. We certainly are. read more

Holy cow. This was an amazing show. The performers were all so good! You can tell they love what they do and that they practice their tails off. Holy crap, what some of them make look easy!! It's worth getting there the hour before the show starts when they first open the doors. The performers are actually out, interacting with the audience, strolling the aisles and stopping for pictures. They had a bunch of activities for the kids to get up on stage and be involved in the beginning too! Hoopla hoops and a chance to hold a spinning basketball on a pen while parents snapped photos. There were a few hiccups tonight. The popcorn machine didn't have power for a while, the lighting didn't always cooperate or have the right cues, there were people trying to cheat the system and sit in the premium seats, ect. Typical opening night oopses that will get better with time, but everything, (from what I saw) was handled beautifully. Honestly? I loved this show so more than I ever loved the old "big" circus. This was so much smaller, so much more intimate. You feel like you're a part of the show. Heck, half the audience was! read more

The little circus that could...with it's heart in the right place. We thoroughly enjoyed the 1/1/21 show in St. Augustine. Excellent show! My whole family 12 yo to 62 yo all enjoyed themselves. Well worth the money! Would definitely go again!

Just wanted to write this review because i was truly impressed by the show! I have to say I was a bit hesitant when my wife told me we were going to a "circus" and then it was a circus without animals. Call me old fashioned but i thought i circus had animals. Well, i was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I typically get bored or lose focus of things VERY quickly, for example, i fell asleep during a Blue Man Group show, fell asleep during Cirque du Soleil because i guess they just didn't interest me or keep my attention very well, i don't know.. but this show had so many different segments, all were good family fun, good family entertainment, so perfect for the little ears and eyes to see. This is the stuff America should be made of, my little kids had a blast as well as me and my wife and all our friends. The staff was so friendly, it was a small show, maybe a couple hundred people im guessing, but the "Ringmaster" Kevin Venardos, his story was really amazing and you could honestly see the passion in his eyes and hear it in his voice when he described how he started the whole circus. This was a awesome show, we will absolutely be back in the future, now i understand why it was sold out. Only thing i would suggest for next year is maybe a bigger tent and higher prices, i would gladly have paid more per person when i found out what my wife paid. Going to also leave a donation. Keep up the great work Venardos team, you impressed someone who is never impressed! read more

Saw it in Littleton CO, absolutely amazing. I've been to other circuses but felt bad for the lions being caged, and felt a bit distant from the acts that involved trampolines and the like. I *much* prefer the Venardos Circus, because the focus is on smaller acts of flexibility, strength, and dance it felt like we were closer to the action, part of the act. There's something amazing at watching one person stand on the other and balance during a dance perfectly well, when you're close enough to see the effort and focus being put into every movement. The members of the show clearly love what they do, and their joy and energy was infectious. We will certainly be back. read more

Wow, wow, wow! Why didn't I know about this circus until now! This is a fantastic show, great humor, amazing juggling, incredible trapeze and acrobatics, great costumes and wonderful people. I'll be going back every year with my family. Congratulations to this circus, amazing! read more

Such a fun experience! I had two 8 year olds and a 2 year old and everyone including myself was fully entertained the entire time! These performers are so fun to watch. It's like a mini Circus Soleil! I love that all the performers worked together to do everything from the ticket booth to the concession stand to the face paint! It's a great family vibe with families from all over the world with so much talent, smiling the entire time! My only complaint would be the prices of the extras (food, drinks, toys, face paint etc...) but we didn't go for that so that won't affect my review. Overall it was a 10/10 and we can't wait for these guys to make it back around next year! read more

What a wonderful, genuine, well thought out circus. We weren't entirely sure what we were getting into, but in the end, our entire family loved it (ages 7-38). Thank you Venardos for sharing your passion with others-a truly entertaining experience! Thanks for making your way to Tacoma! read more

Entertaining circus with an important message! The was a truly fun and entertaining evening for our family. I love that it is so intimate and they involve the audience in the show. The clown was our family's favorite but all the acts were super. My only wish would be to have stadium seating for the general admission. Even though there are only about 15 rows total, it was sometimes hard to see what was happening from the back row. I would recommend paying a little more for the closer seating or getting there early for a better general admission seat as they are first come. Overall, the show had a great message and my kids are asking to come back next year. I hope this little circus does well. read more

This is a little circus with a BIG BIG heart. I am in love! You could literally feel the love, pride, and passion this cast of 15 has pumping through them. You could truly sense and feel that this was a labor of love across the board. Venardo's makes for a fantastic ringmaster and at the end truly shares his love and joy with the audiences, proclaiming that dreams really can come true and beaming with pride at his beautifully diverse group of performers. It was emotional and inspiring to witness someone literally in the moment of living his dreams. The performances are fast-paced, action-packed and gorgeously choreographed. It was exciting and sexy and truly transformed a city park into a big top circus. I would recommend this to families, couples, or friends looking for a fun activity. This was a WIN! When I walked in the tent, I was really nervous that this wouldn't be a high quality show (based on the size of the stage and the lack of glitz and glam I've seen from other big city shows)... I was SO wrong! From moment one I was drawn into the magic that Kevin Venardos created in his storytelling, sheer presence and connection with the audience.
