I originally wrote this review for Dr. Simpson, whose office is in Nanuet, NY. Dr. Narang, my…read moreregular dentist, was instrumental in getting this whole implant idea started and worked in partnership with Dr. Simpson in seeing it through. For a little over a year now, I've been going to Dr Simpson to have a synthetic tooth installed in my lower, right jaw. I had heard about such procedures before, but it always seemed rather extreme...until I started having chronic problems with one tooth, which culminated in a serious root infection. My dentist (Dr. Narang) suggested I have that tooth out and replace it with an implant. So I thought, OK, now is a good time to try an implant. My dentist recommended Dr. Simpson (an oral surgeon). Dr. Simpson checked the situation out and determined that I would be a good candidate for an implant. Dr. Simpson clearly explained the steps involved in the process. The process to have an implant is rather lengthy. The first step was to extract the old (original) tooth. That went without issue...and without pain. A good start! In fact, I experienced no pain during the entire process. [Note: the process will be slightly different for each person, depending on their circumstances.] After the tooth was removed, we had to wait some time (months) for the jaw to heal and be ready for the next step. Then the hole in my jaw was filled with bone fragments (don't ask where from), which would meld in with my jawbone in preparation for the next step. More waiting... Then the base for the implant was placed into my jaw. [Screwed in, actually, using what looked like a small ratchet wrench.] More waiting... Then, when everything looked good, I was sent back to my dentist to have the crown put on my new tooth stem and fastened into the base. More waiting... Inspected by both my dentist and Dr. Simpson and given the thumbs-up. My new tooth is now in place and feels right at home. No further problems!

Dr. Goodale's office was it from the moment I first spoke to the receptionist Jessica. She was friendly, patient and easy to understand, which is really saying something these days. When I got the the office and sat down with D for my x-rays, she was very comforting and communicative, laying out everything I needed to do and checking in with me throughout to make sure I was good. Then Dr. Goodale came in with great energy and an obvious desire to 1. explain everything extremely clearly and patiently and 2. make sure I was at ease and comfortable. She did my cleaning personally and took my request seriously for caution around certain sensitive areas. She even asked if I was cool with the music they had playing. And then to top if off she gave me the best cleaning I've ever had - my teeth are prone to staining so they were looking pretty rough after a year gap between my last dentist visit. I had even been told by previous hygienists they couldn't do much about the stains. Dr. Goodale got them so white my wife was actually shocked because she had forgotten I had normal teeth. Really can't recommend this place enough I just with that all healthcare providers treated their customers with such grace and empathy, not to mentioned good old fashioned skill at their profession. Know it's tough out there but this place gives you hope that quality care can still thrive. Thank you Dr. Goodale and team!

Update: I have to update my review. I went in for fillings and was handled with an older dentist…read more In total, I probably went back and forth about 4-6 more times. This was due to him not being able to locate the cause of pain, as he claimed he had filled all cavities and that it can take up to "two weeks for the nerves to not be sensitive" post-filling. Eventually, he said I might need a root canal. Well, after wasting an incredible amount of time and gas I ended up finding another dentist. They located the hole in my filling and filled it, as well as the other cavities. They told me that was the source of pain and that I definitely didn't need a root canal. I don't have the issue anymore, it was fixed in one visit with another dentist. I was also told I had periodontitis and would require deep cleanings every 3 months. This was also false, as confirmed by other dentists I saw shortly after. My teeth are actually in great shape. When I called them to get my records, they tried to tell me they couldn't "release" them to me. I ended up getting them anyway. Horrible team and staff. They're CON ARTISTS.

In my previous dental office in Manhattan cleanings were done by an hygienist. I complained to Dr.Yen about a front tooth that had rotated and was pressuring the tooth next to it and my top and bottom lips. She referred me to Putman Orthodontics to see what they could do about it. I saw Dr. Lee at P.O. who told me he could not help me and he was going to call Dr. Yen to work out another plan for my case. She also referred me to Valley Endodontics for evaluation because she was not sure if I needed a root canal. The day after seeing Dr. Lee at P.O. I called Precision Arts and I was transferred to Michelle, The office manager, and explained what had happened with Dr. Lee. She told me to call back two days later to speak to Dr. Yen. Two days later I called and Michelle told me I would have to come in to speak to Dr. Yen. I went in the same day to find out the results of her conversation with Dr. Lee and what the plan was to fix the discomfort I had been experiencing. Dr. Yen looked puzzled, obviously she did not have a plan and she did not confirm having discussed my case with Dr. Lee. When I insisted to find out what was the plan she and Dr. Lee had reached during their conversation she abruptly left the office and sent the office manager to escort me out of the office. It is outrageous that an health professional treats a patient this way. I am glad it ended first visit because with this type of treatment it would not last another visit. Any way I was looking for a dentist that could treat any issues that would come up, be sure about what should be done and not give me the run around sending me to other facilities for further evaluations and at the end with no solutions.
