Very nice Tex-Mex restaurant good service good food great atmosphere great music. They have a full bar no need for reservation, but you might want to give them a call See how busy they are. if you're in North Augusta SC, and looking to quench your TexMex appetite, and are in the area check them out.

    Shrimp burrito and chips

Pablo's has one of the most amusing on line presence of any Augusta area eatery so chef's kiss to their tech team. My older daughter swears by this place so younger daughter and sought them out on Valentines Day because they had $2.99 tacos and margs which were billed as "your first love". It's in a strip mall next to another restaurant and I can see where parking might get crowded but it was 2:50 so it wasn't an issue. It's not terribly big and the ambience is typical tex-mex. Our waitress came right away with chips and salsa and took our order. She may not have been brimming with friendliness but she was pleasant and efficient. We ended up not having the tacos but I got a on the rocks marg. It was quite strong and tasty. It was almost 3:00 but they still let us order from the lunch menu. DD order the shrimp burrito and I had steak fajita nachos. The food wasn't new and innovative but it was fresh and tasty. If you are on the area give them a try but definitely join for their text alerts just to be amused.

    Loaded Fries / Tater Tots

I ordered food to go, so this review is strictly based on that experience. I ordered the loaded tots (I forget the actual name printed on the menu) and my food was out to me in less than 15 minutes. A waitress did come out from the kitchen saying that they were out of tater tots (!!!) and asked if I wanted it over French fries instead. I told her yes, but only if the fries were crispy. And oh, they were DELICIOUS! Everything was delightful, even when I made it back to my destination. The chicken and steak were juicy and seasoned. The queso was flavorful and most importantly, it was HOT! I didn't make a fuss about missing the tater tots because it was an hour before closing time. But man, if it was that good over fries, the tots have to be better! Let me also say, I was fixated on the tater tots because of another Yelper's photo on here. 100/10 - Highly Recommend.

Seated quickly, served quickly. The food is flavorful, it maybe my 6th time going. Alot of decorations to look at while eating. I ordered the tots with steak. Very flavorful.

absolutely HORRIBLE for lunchtime takeout. I waited nearly a half hour for a burrito and a side of Spanish rice. they very obviously don't monitor when food is ready as my beef burrito was cold and rice was almost warm. I believe the only reason anyone at this restaurant even checked on then brought me the food I paid for (within 90 seconds) was because I stood up and crossed my arms hoping to be noticed... If they were busy I could understand, but they weren't. I'd estimate 5-10 eat in customers occupied this poor excuse for a restaurant the ENTIRE TIME I WAITED. Go there at your own peril but I certainly NEVER will again.

    Birria Quesadilla

Pablo's is a good spot for delicious Mexican food. That have your usual tex-mex offerings. As well as a few authentic Mexican dishes. I had to try the birria quesadilla which was recommended by a friend. So I hopped on the Birria craze that's taking over and thoroughly enjoyed it. The meat was flavorful and tender. And the green salsa that was served with it was a perfect accompaniment. The consomé didn't have that deep flavor that I was expecting but it was still delicious and added even more richness to the cheesy quesadilla. I am hoping this dish remains on their menu.

Pablo's is probably the best Mexican restaurant in North Augusta besides El Jalisence. I like their food & Drinks over Monterrey's. The staff is great! But the tamales I do not trust because one side was rock hard and honestly my family and I make them from scratch and of one sie is hard as a rock it's microwaved. Other then the tamales the other dishes are great!

Excellent Cheese Steak Burrito. AA+ for both food and service. Aside from Monterreys, Pablos is one of the best me ican restaurants in North Augusta. Can't wait to bring friends and family here next visit.

The ticket with the order I placed for 2 dinners.

This is your every day Mexican restaurant. I don't think the taste of he food is as good as Monterrey or Teresa's.

Ordered an assortment of tacos/gordita including barbacoa, lengua, tripas, pastor as well as a queso beef dip and Jamaica as a beverage. Was pleasantly surprised to get some free chips and dip which was decent. Some of the chips were undersalted or a bit grainy/sandy tasting but the salsa was decent. Tacos Barbacoa (4.5/5): Their best taco for sure. Very tender pieces of shredded meat, not too fatty but still very flavorful. Reminiscent of the cabeza taco at la jaliciense. Tacos Lengua (4/5): Good amount of lengua pieces that are also pretty tender and tasty. All their tacos are salty enough, and I liked how the lengua pieces were cubed into smaller pieces than other spots. Beef queso dip (4/5): Rich queso with ground beef mixed within, a decent appetizer for sure and would recommend ordering this. Tacos Tripas (2.5/5): I asked before ordering if they would be pretty crispy as this is how I enjoyed Tripas in Mexico city, San Antonio, etc. and they confirmed it would be. When I received it, very few pieces were crispy and many of them were oily/soggy. Some tasted slightly burnt. Although the portion of meat was very generous, I felt the quality could have been higher. Gordita Pastor (3/5): The tacos pastor also had decent portions and was well seasoned, but the issue was that it lacked tenderness and was pretty firm. The jamaica was a bit too sweet. They provide beans if you order 3 tacos but will increase the costs to accommodate this, I would request no beans and just order the tacos a la carte in the future. Overall, it is still an authentic Mexican spot in North Augusta and pricing is fair, but I prefer La Jaliciense by a fair margin for the variety and quality of meat within the tacos.

I would have preferred cheese in mine and a little more seasoning in the beef. But, no worries, I added the cheese dip on top. My son and I also had the Burrito Grande with chicken; soooo good. My daughter had the Pizza Birria and it was delicious. She stated it was the best she's had and trust me she's had her share. My husband had the quesadilla el patron. For drinks, I started off with the Pineapple Aguas Frescas but traded it for the Mango one. The mango was better. My son had the fruit punch Jarrito, my daughter had the mango as well, and my husband had the Horcheta. Needless to say, we will return. This is probably our favorite now!

I love their abundant meat options, which are basically any meat and style you can think of. Their elote/esquite was ok and i think probably very authentic, but i prefer the (undoubtedly less authentic) version where it's just a little bit of corn in a huge cup of mayo. The service is amazing. They are so nice, and when our little one was having a rough time the waitress came over and tried playing with him and helping out. Every time a server would pass by they'd stop and smile at him and you could tell he was the most popular guy in the shop. The -1 star is just for the ambiance, which is fine but nothing spectacular. It can get quite loud, and the fluorescent lights are very bright and a little off putting. It's a fine place to get great Mexican food, it's just not the most pleasant place to eat.

Their chips and salsa aren't amazing but they come warm and crunchy with a slightly watery tomato salsa. If my rating was only for just splitting a large pitcher with some friends, it would be a solid 4. Unfortunately, the food brings the rating down to a 3. As someone from Texas who is very familiar with tex-mex offerings, I was not very impressed by the multiple food items I have had here. Any option with chicken essentially is very fibery, dry shredded chicken breast. Prices are more expensive than other mexican or tex-mex spots but with smaller portions. Pictured below is one of the items I got in the past showing the shredded chicken inside slathered with sour cream on the top. Sides of mexican rice or beans are not the best either. I have had the food 2-3 times here and now pretty much only order the beer if stopping by here with friends. It's far from my first or even middle pick when it comes to mexican food, but you can't get beer for much cheaper at a dine-in restaurant, and the chips and salsa are a bonus.
