Came for a Yelp! elite event, but stayed for more! I had delicious margaritas and tacos in a fun and bright setting! The owner and staff were so welcoming and helpful, our group definitely had them working hard to keep up with drink and food orders, but everything was worth the wait! I had the Buffalo chicken flour taco, which was tangy and bold with tasty carrots and cream, and the Backwoods Hawaiian corn taco, which was packed with a plethora of tastes including jalapeño and red cabbage! The frozen house margarita was my favorite drink! Lindsay took great care of us, as did the bartender Jessie! super fun and bright decor, with fun signs! I'm so excited to see that our area has another P.S. Taco location but one that's closer to the highway. We ordered our food to-go but decided to grab margaritas while we waited to order. I ordered the nacho fries and beau got the quesadilla and churros. It was all delicious and tasty. Nothing lacked flavor. It was all still warm when we got home. The Cons: We we're not greeted when we entered. There was no one to tell us where or how we could place an order. The service was slow but it probably because the location is new. Not making excuses for them but just empathetic. Also, The cable guys were in the ceiling doing work that would make it hard to enjoy your dining experience. read more

Came here with my son for a get together with Yelpers and liked the comp taco and cocktail so much that we decided to stay for dinner. I have had various experiences with the P.S. Taco locations but these folks seem to have it together and I can recommend coming here to this location for a pretty good taco and the cocktails are quite good too! This is a regional women-owned series of restaurants in southern Alabama and SW Mississippi and, as I mentioned, the dining experience does vary somewhat but the menu is mostly the same. The Black Jack and Backwoods Hawaiian are my favorites Beef, chicken, seafood, pork tacos and quesadillas and burritos plus some soups and salads and churros for dessert. Definitely would rank this experience as average. Perhaps some of the kinks of not being open all that long need to be worked out. Caitlyn provided wonderful service and was very attentive and friendly but the food just didn't bring it. The corn tortillas for my tacos were stale and chewy. I ended up just pulling the insides out and eating the meat, etc with a fork. I tried three different tacos and they were filled with ingredients but I would rate them just good but not great. The Mexican corn was delicious. There is good potential here and I would consider another meal several months down the road. read more

Stopped in for the first time...And last time. Ordered the Belly tacos to go. Institutional grade corn tortillas that were like some weird mix of paper and styrofoam pulp, and they didn't even steam them. Cold, stiff and dead, all of them snapped in half trying to pick up the so-called tacos. Reprehensible! The belly was stiff and tough. The shrimp were overcooked. No pickled red onion or mango to be seen. Bad porkbelly, how? Porkbelly should always be one of the most tender juicy meats you can eat. Inexcusable! I wanted a plate, but they were out of Black Beans. Only other options were rice or corn, so I did just the tacos. Only thing good on these tacos was the sweet soy reduction, that was delicious. We chose corn. It's not that difficult to heat up a tortilla in an iron skillet and make it hot, tender and perfect. These tortillas were so tough that I could not bite through them. Even stripped it down to a single tortilla. No luck. Meat too tough as well. So sorry to see this near miss as the concept, flavors and atmosphere as well as prices are very attractive. Ordered appetizers and didn't receive, ordered water and alcoholic drinks and got the alcoholic drinks but no water and never was asked if we wanted another drink. Ordered food and got random extra items not listed on the menu in our tacos that I didn't want and had to remove. Got charged for the items we ordered and never received and had to have the bill corrected after brought to us. Forgot to mention ordered orders half order of ps taco fries with tacos and never received. Had a gift card and was unable to use because when server rang bill up immediately and swiped card without realizing that gift cards were in the other hand. They killed it with this place! Had two tacos(the Skinny with grilled fish and the one with the Korean beef) along with chips and queso. Both tacos excellent and the queso was very rich with flavor. As soon as I walked in, I should've known to walk back out the staff was sitting down BAD SIGN. We ordered the queso and as soon as we did, she brought it back out also a BAD SIGN. I ordered three tacos, the ground beef, the shrimp, and the slow cooked brisket. If you want to eat tacos, worse to decent order these. I literally took one bite of the ground beef and immediately knew I couldn't finish it. The shrimp decent not much flavor but edible. Once I finally got those down, I made my way to the brisket, which was cold at that point I had given up I asked for the check boxed my remaining tacos for my dog. 6/30- ordered some food via online thru toast takeout and said it would be an hour before delivered. received confirmation. I waited over an hour and politely called to see what was wrong. The lady I talked to was very rude and said i needed to call my "dude" that was delivering it. Then she said they only had one driver today and because I ordered online and not thru doordash thay I would have to come pick up my order? I'm only adding one star because I have to. It was a tradition of us and our friends they eat there on Thursday nights got to know the staff got to know the waitress really friendly and outgoing and helpful. Our last visit last week the cooks were being aggressive one nearly knocked me down while I was walking to the hall to the bathroom and the second time I went to go to the bathroom before we left he came out on me at the door and I put my hands up and he followed me to the bathroom. They would aggressively come into the bar area laughing weirdly and mumbling things they seem very aggressive. Now here is the part that could have killed me I told the waitress to make sure there were any jalapenos on or in the burrito and usually I haven't had a problem or I've been able to pick them out but they were chopped so fine I could barely see them and by the time I did I'd already eaten them. When I woke up at 2:00 a.m. in the morning after only taking a couple of bites of the burrito I was violently ill. When I called the manager he just blew it off and said humans make mistakes but in this chance this would have been a huge mistake if I didn't realize that there were more peppers in that. This is overpriced and shitty food but I went for the friends and the chips and queso in the occasional margarita I would rather be strapped to a chair and fed SPOT OF TEA food than step foot in here. read more

Two of us ate there for lunch. We both got the two taco one side meal for $13 each. I got the seared shrimp and chicken on hard shells and Mexican corn. Very little filling in either taco. Shrimp had no flavor and the chicken was super salty. The pico was so wet that my tacos fell apart and were soggy on the bottom as soon as they arrived at our table. Decided to try this new taco place since I love Mexican food. Very pricey but I figured I'd try it anyway. I'm pretty simple with tacos so I ordered the plate with 2 tacos and black beans. Worst thing I've eaten in a while. Beans tasted like lime juice and the tacos tasted like cardboard. Maybe 2 teaspoons of meat filling, no cheese to speak about and chopped up Romain lettuce.
