Trying P.F. Chang's on Valentine's Day was a pleasant surprise. Made reservations the day before and only early afternoon was available. Arrived before my dinner guest and was seated promptly. Dinner menus were brought over and waitress was wearing a mask. Even on a day that was pretty busy we didn't feel rushed. After having middle eastern food for so many days we just wanted something different and decided to give PF Chang's a try. We came near closing time but were greeted nicely and service was on point thoughout the night. We didn't feel rushed at all. Hot and sour soup was average and served lukewarm. I wish it was hot but I didn't care to send it back. We ordered Kung Pao shrimp and chicken fried rice and both were really good. I would be back to get that Kung Pao shrimp. read more

I can't get enough of this place! Their menu choices are suitable for every food critic out there. I've gotten my friends hooked to this place as well. We always get a different food group and sample from each. To start off their Sangria and Mai Tai is amazing, then you have to get the chicken lettuce wraps and the spring rolls. Followed by the hot and sour soup, then every dish on the menu will do just great. Sitting at the bar is the option to go if you want complete adult time vs the dining room is family time. The entire staff from carry out to the managers are friendly, which makes the entire visit enjoyable. Don't have a favorite server because they all are amazing, however I do have a favorite dish, the almond & cashew chicken as the main dish and chicken lettuce wraps. read more

Well the food was delicious, the service was horrible. We had a reservation and got seated immediately. After that we just sat. No one said a word to us. After about 10 minutes, we stopped a waitress from another section who told us who our waitress was and said they were a little busy tonight. The restaurant was far from full. The nice waitress brought us water. We sat for another 10 minutes without a word from our waitress. The nice waitress came back and said she would take our order. When our order finally came out, it was brought out by our waitress. She didn't apologize, she didn't check on us. We gave our tip to the nice waitress. read more

We sat at the bar on a Saturday night, it was not busy but we wanted to watch the Michigan game. The bartender was nice, not pushy. I had the strawberry cucumber lemonade which was non alcoholic it was pretty tasty. My husband and I shared: Dragon roll sushi and it was yummy Chicken Fried rice was tasteful. Honey chicken was amazing, super crispy and the sauce was good. Fried bananas w pineapple and coconut ice cream was for dessert, the bananas was ok but OMG that ice cream was to die for ! A few friends and I dropped by PF Chang's for lunch and more importantly, to catch up with each other. I've been to this restaurant (Somerset, Dearborn, and Northville locations) countless times, including one day when I went for both lunch and dinner. Hey, it happens if friends pick the place. So, I can confidently say that I've tried the majority of appetizers, entrees, and desserts on the menu. On this cold day, I started with the Hot and Sour Soup; it was part of the lunch special and a perfect way to warm up. I especially enjoyed the tender tofu that floated in the broth, along with the shredded chicken, egg whites, and vegetables. The entrée of crisp shrimp and lobster sauce always reminds me of my parents' cooking. The sauce actually does not contain any lobster. Rather, it is typically used to flavor lobster and is one of my favorite lobster preparations. The sauce is a subtle blend of garlic, black beans, mushrooms and egg whites. It sounds odd but the nuanced flavors really work well together. None of the flavors dominate the sauce but each adds a different texture and flavor to the meal. It definitely complements the delicate taste of the shrimp. I recommend it highly. The fried rice is a different matter. I am accustomed to a bolder, more flavorful rice with Chinese sausage, fried egg, peas, maybe even dried shrimp, something that could stand on its own as a meal. Here, the fried rice tasted rather bland and not worth the extra $1 paid. We even had time for dessert so I went with the Salted Caramel cake. This dessert had changed from when it was introduced last year. The mini dessert of caramel butter cake and caramel/vanilla icing was well-portioned but average tasting. Not worth the 500+ calories. I definitely preferred last year's version with the chocolate cake and caramel sauce. Service was efficient. Perhaps too efficient as the server cleared our plates before one of my friends was done. As a side note, PF Chang's has probably one of best curated, restaurant-operated Pinterest boards. Those pictures also appear on Yelp. As a New Yorker I'd always resisted this chain on the grounds that it couldn't possibly be as good as what I'm used to at home. But I found myself with no other choices on a snowy night in Dearborn while on a business trip and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It had all the cliche dishes like spring rolls, sweet and sour soup and beef with broccoli, but then so do most places in NY. The food came out fast and hot and was actually pretty tasty. Absolutely RUDE!!! Ordered online for delivery thru this pfchang website. Bank statement shows payment went thru. Delivery was estimated to be at 4.00pm, recieved an email at 4.00pm that the order is canceled. Called the Dearborn location to enquire about the sudden cancelation to be told that someone canceled the order, was put on hold to be transferred to the manager for further assistance, and was hung up on. Called back a second time spoke with Sara, put on hold this time with the ladies in the back chit chatting comes up to the phone speaks with a Delivery driver picks up the phone and hangs up a second time. Called back a third time spoke with another lady who insisted that the phone was being hung up on it's own, that they did not recieve the order in their system yet a Delivery driver had arrived earlier to pick up the order but somehow it is not in their system. The food was not prepared and the cancelation happened from a third party like doordash which we did not place the order on.the order was placed from pf changs official website. The lady proceeded to hand up. Customer service and servers were very rude and were not helpful with resolving the issue. Bank statement still says that the payment has went thru. read more

Yeah yeah yeah. It's a chain. But it's a damn good one. And this location in particular is quite nice and staffed with some really nice and patient folks. It's a great place to hit when you're running around the mall and looking for nourishment, like my family and I did a few weeks ago. Now, grandma was particularly excited about the honey shrimp. Due to some medication she also cannot eat ANY spice so the honey shrimp is perfect. Sweet sauce on breaded and fried shrimp and white rice. A tasty but mild dish for her. Unfortunately this time around the dish came out strangely spicy. We brought it to their attention and the staff was incredibly accommodating and apologized for the mix-up (likely it was cooked in a pan following another spicy dish and it had a trace left). The manager asked what they could do and offered to fix up another plate to send home with us. Nice! Great way to fix a problem. The rest of the food, as always, was great. The Mongolian Beef was fresh and delicious, the green onions were such a beautiful bright color and cooked perfectly. The curry shrimp and chicken noodles were so tasty and filled, again, with super fresh veggies. Chicken lettuce wraps? THE BOMB. Tasty egg rolls as well. I have a few local Chinese joints that I prefer over PF Chang's and I choose to support them over a chain (plus they're MUCH cheaper with larger portions for great leftovers) but whenever I'm in the mall this a great place to go. Come with a group and get the Great Wall of Chocolate. Then he had the nerve to be touching people's food. All the male waiters looked like they didn't shower in weeks. I was so disgusted with him and everyone else. A lady sitting in a booth next to us found a three foot long piece of hair in her food. Then the manager, in so many words, called her a liar. Nobody wore hair nets while preparing food. Jacob and I came here for a nice dinner a couple weeks ago. We made reservations and were seated immediately upon our arrival. Luckily, we got a nice, intimate booth with a great view. We had a really nice server who explained the whole dinner process. She was really nice and perfectly attentive to our needs. I was shocked at the portions. It's much smaller than traditional Detroit Chinese restaurants. This isn't the type of place you'd bring leftovers home from. Regardless, our dishes were both really good. My only disappointment is that you can't substitute the white rice that comes with dishes with fried rice. They only sell their fried rice as an entree, which is like $7. And there's way too much of it and it's undoubtedly wasted. We even went for dessert... Cheesecake with berries. The cheesecake was awesome but could have used more berries. Otherwise, I'd say everything else was perfect. Our experience was nice. The service was wonderful and the food was good. I'd go back to P.F. Changs. read more

I have been going to P.F. Chang's for years. I like this location compared to the Livonia one because it's usually quieter than the other location. But, if you're looking for some authentic Chinese food. This is not the place for you! Hence why this place is called P.F. Chang's China BISTRO. Bistro is usually interpreted as a knock-off of the original. My faves for PF Chang's are: pork dumplings (steamed), chicken lettuce wraps (a given for this place), Chang's Spicy Chicken, Mongolian Beef (my absolute favorite entree!) ask the chef to add a little extra sugar to your dish to have them caramelize the beef a bit more (just a tip), Pepper Steak, and other numerous entrees and appetizers that are a treat to my palate. Yes, PF Chang's is a bit on the pricey side, but here is a little tip, come during lunch time! They have over 20 dishes that they offer during dinner hour for more than half price! And it comes with soup or salad, and your choice of rice!! For dessert there are many options and my mom and I love chocolate so we always get the Great Wall of Chocolate! Delicious! It's a giant slab of chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and fresh berries to add to it's decadent taste. Others like the Banana Spring Rolls, which many find appealing (tehe). They also have many like 'dessert shooters' type things. Which are perfectly fine if you're looking for a small treat to satisfy your sweet tooth. As a last note, I should mention that my only problem when I last visited was that the tea cups for hot tea seem to continually keep getting smaller. What's up with that?? It's literally smaller than a shot glass, I kid you not. I love me some hot tea, but I think I might have to ask for a larger glass next time... Anyway, try it sometime!! Had a Chicken veggie dish , Chicken Lettuce Wraps with Hot Sour Soup. Fabulous service which truly was the highlight of our visit. Folks another overrated chain, worst Hot Sour Soup ever. Chicken Wrap terrible, Sushi Rolls had better at bad Chinese Buffet. Chicken vegetables dish yuk. Way over priced $3.25 for regular iced tea so not impressed. My most recent visit was disappointing. The crispy green beans appetizer was really good, but my main entree was not. I got the crispy honey chicken and it definitely was not crispy. It was almost entirely breading - there was barely any chicken. When I did get some pieces of chicken, they were chewy or hard. It made it very unappetizing. I've been to this location before and the food was better, but I don't think I'll be returning. On the plus side, the hostesses were very nice and our waiter was attentive. read more

Not only did our order sit at the counter without us being informed. She then handed us the order then accused us of trying to steal it when she couldn't log into the register to ring us. She then told us the wrong price then got upset and said we were saying the wrong name. We asked for my order, "Houston" and she tried to charge us "Ashley"'s price. The manager stood by her as this went on. I called to speak to a manager about the incident and he seemed disinterested and didn't sound motivated to fix the problem. My first visit to PF changs. Busy during lunch time as it is in the mall and many offices are located nearby. We already had reservation and got seated. Service was a little bit of mess. We ordered and got the drinks and waiting for the food. Another person (not the one who took order) came with food and asking is this the item you ordered. They placed couple items and some items were not ordered from our table. And within a couple of minutes, the person who took order came and mentioned that was for a different table. As we were waiting for everyone food to arrive, no one has started eating and they took back. Ordered chang's spicy chicken. While taking order itself server suggested it won't be spicy and I asked to make it spicy. Even then it was not spicy. I don't why they name it as spicy chicken. Asked was chilli paste and it felt sour taste probably of vinegar. Food is okay, not a great one. read more
