Yeah, Sketchy As All Get Out But Soooooo Good!

This is my opinion: If an old Cantonese restaurant is sketchy inside and out, they'll probably have some of the best American Chinese food that you've ever had. The prices will be stupid low, you'll be stuffed like Thanksgiving and you'll leave with a doggie bag because you won't be able to finish your food. Now I'm not one to talk out of my ass here so let me back that statement up. This last time I ordered off the lunch combo menu. For $8.01, tax included, I got a bowl, not a cup, of delicious Hot and Sour Soup, an excellent Spring Roll and a huge plate of War Su Gai. I seriously asked my server if she had given me the dinner portion by mistake. She just smiled and said "No, that's the lunch size". Super helpful, friendly and nice, I like the ladies that run this place. I've eaten here three times so far and I can safely say that Red Ruby is one of my local favorites. Get the War Su Gai, ABC, Beef and Broccoli, Lo Mein or whatever dish you like the most because you can't go wrong here. By the way, if you need a lunch date, hit me up. I'm always available for some good cheap Chinese!

This food is disgusting. My crab rangoons were burnt, sweet & sour sauce looks like gelatin even after being heated, the same for the orange chicken sauce. Couldn't eat any of it, opted for leftover Wendy's instead. The good reviews must be well outdated, wont be eating here again. Workers not wearing masks, social distancing not enforced, patrons not required to wear masks upon entering. Waste of $30, wish I could give it 0 stars.

Pretty good American Chinese food. Has my American Chinese food fav brown gravy for the shrimp fried rice. Food is good, I've only done carry outs never dined in but even in doing so the service has been good and polite.

The food is gross, had to throw it all away. Been going to this restaurant for many years but this will be the last time.

Average Asian food. Nothing special although portions were generous. Too salty for myself but other family members said it was okay.

I can't believe I was able to find a…read moregood Chinese restaurant that would offer such delicious and authentic Chinese food in this area, but this place is it! Tonight we decided to go full-on vegetarian (I'd been eating so much meat, carbs and cheese for the past few days). So we ordered: - Szechuan Vegetarian Chicken: not exactly "Szechuan" spicy but it sure was delicious. There were so many different kinds of veggies that went into this dish - different textures, different flavors - and then the imitation chicken meat which was so good. It was probably made out of soy, but honestly the texture was spot on and definitely chicken-like. I really liked this dish. - Vegetables Delight: absolutely delightful assortment of veggies (broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts, zucchini, baby corn and so much more), stir fried in delicious white sauce. It was a real delight. I loved it. - Vegetarian Lo Mein: super tasty. The sauce they used was super bomb, it was super savory I didn't even notice there was no meat here. It was insane. The noodles to me were just a tad overcooked, but it didn't impact the dish much. - Vegetarian Fried Rice: just like the Lo Mein, it was equally tasty. I really liked it but the rice was a bit over cooked as well. But it didn't negatively impact the dish much. - Vegetarian Egg Foo Young: think of this like Chinese style omelette served with some savory sauce and eaten with rice. Obviously we opted for the vegetarian kind even though they offered meat options. The egg foo young was delicious, hearty and filling. The sauce was savory, slightly sweet with a hint of tang. It was great. Overall I was truly impressed with their cooking. I'm curious to see how their non vegetarian dishes taste like, maybe I'll try them next time. Oh and portion was ginormous, you guys. Total cost was about $55 after tax. Totally worth it.

This location just didn't quite live up to that same standard for me. The spring rolls were a bit different--still good, just not as memorable as the ones in Commerce. The sesame chicken also didn't seem quite as high quality. I had ordered it with medium spice, but it came without any heat. I'm sure that was just a mistake, but the spice probably would have helped the flavor. Overall, I would still come back since it's a convenient option in Livonia, but it didn't leave me as excited to return as the Commerce location did. The staff was very friendly and kind, though.

He always gets the almond chicken combination dinner with white rice and sweet and sour sauce instead of gravy. He has always loved it. I have only been a handful of times and have gotten the shrimp and chicken. I have not been the biggest fan myself as I do feel it could be cooked a bit more. Their rice also leaves something to desire. It doesn't always seem completely mixed. The times I have been they have had their dining area closed due to COVID- I am not sure if that has re-opened at this time. It seems like a neat place to hang out and I've heard great things about the interior. The people who work here are awesome and are always nice and welcoming. I appreciate that! Genuinely I have enjoyed their food, but the consistency isn't always there. I haven't been in a minute, but hope to revisit soon to update this review. You guys have a good place going.

Well, soon as we walked in, they had a large hand written notice stating pick up orders only no dining. Time was already late and we didn't want to drive another 10 to 15 minutes to go somewhere else so we waiting the 20 minutes to get our food. I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp and he ordered the shrimp and lobster sauce. Mine was really good and his meal he said was just ok. The shrimp and lobster sauce looked more like brown gravy and he did not like the flavor. So I know he was a bit disappointed, my meal was great, the fried shrimp was perfect and so was the rice, I added my own garlic butter and made it perfect.
