A claim was made, an estimate was given, a release and assignment agreement was signed, and after 9 emails, two store visits, and over six months later I have not received a settlement. This was truly a nightmare of an experience. 1. We purchased a $6200 appliance package - oven/range/microwave/dishwasher. 2. We provided all measurements to salesman. 3. Salesman very helpful and experienced. 4. Installation was awful. Here is why: The first installers came late in afternoon. The dishwasher was a half inch too tall. Refused to install. The fridge needed a new water line. Installer refused to install. Left a mess for conversion of oven and microwave. Despite this, I tipped. Salesman pivoted, ordered new dishwasher, apologized, ordered new water line, apologized. Scheduled second installation. Second installers, much more experienced, amenable and put in new water line. Then for dishwasher, I had to pay an additional $50 not disclosed to me by salesman for a conversion due to age. I pay plus tip. Installers had difficult time taking out old fridge. They had to take off my front door but if they had simply taken off the old doors to fridge, they could have taken our fridge easier. Overall, I would not recommend P.C. Bought a new washer 2 years ago. 3 weeks ago it started leaking from a busted hose. A technician finally came and said yes it's a busted hose but he can't fix it and will have to order the part. Part comes in, and now it will be another two weeks before they can return to do a 5 minute repair (per the technician). Called customer service and was told there's nothing they can do. 5 weeks for a 5 minute repair is unacceptable. We have been loyal customers for 15 years. Have to take off from work each time to wait for the tech. Not to mention the inconvenience and expense of multiple trips to the laundromat. Such a large and respected retailer should have more service techs available, if they want to keep customers. We are very unhappy! read more

They have come to my house 23 times to try and fix my fridge and my stove. The repairman and I are on a first name basis. He comes to my home and announces that he cannot fix my brand new appliances and to take it up with pc Richard's. Pc Richard's tells me to take it up with the repair company. These are brand new appliances?????? After 7 hours on the phone today I am done. Been doing this for months now. Pc Richard's you beat me out of thousands of dollars. You give a really bad name to "family run" companies. My family will spend more thousands of dollars for a working fridge and stove elsewhere. You won. Keep our money. The short of it, five star experience, ask for Ken. Long of it below. Let's face it folks, in this day and age it's so much easier to just shop online. Don't have to leave the house, and a couple days later stuff magically appears. I had no allegiance to Best Buy, PC Richard or any other store. I need x, I either order it online or go to one of those stores. All that has changed for any items these type of stores may carry. I had a TV issue that Ken went out of his way to address - he didn't have to, but he did what was fair. A lot of people don't give a sh#t about what's fair anymore. Rules are hard and unbending for most, but Ken thought outside the box. Based on that experience, I came straight here a week or so later when I needed 30 headphones. I went to. PC RICHARDS in Bellmore to purchase a tv after my Sony Wega rear projection tv went to sleep after 17 years. The sales department was fabulous. Delivery and setup was perfect. After a few days the Wi-Fi started to cut out. After a few times and getting over COVID a tech came to my house. The tv was defective. I went to the store and they were wonderful in helping me out with this situation. They are wonderful and I look forward to getting my new tv and definitely staying with the PC RICHARDS family. The experience was okay. The salesperson helped with our appliance need. The discount wasnt much if you compare to other stores but I guess I went with them anyways. Plus buying warranty from them helps as well. I think!! The downfall was... when the delivery came, the Fridge was in a bubble wrap and not a closed boxed. Plus it had dents at three locations. So basically they tried delivering this Fridge to another customer, it probably didnt fit and tried with US?? We didnt pay for an "open box item" (which are usually discounted). So I didnt accept the order. I had them take it back. My advice: always look at the items they bring off the truck, before they bring it in your home. read more

I purchased a Samsung Washer from the Bellmore location. Salesperson was great and delivery was quick with no problems. The issue is with customer service. After only ONE YEAR, I started having problems with my washing machine. It has taken FOUR visits and over $230 to resolve this issue. There appears to be a discrepancy is the timeline, in which PC Richards refused to honor the original manufacturer warranty. The bottom line is don't expect longevity from PC Richards appliances, one year max. read more

So my wife took a day off so that someone would be home for our washing machine delivery. They arrive on time but without hesitation they say, "we have a problem". According to them there's no way they can take the old washer out. There's not enough room. Well how did it get there you ask ?? According to them they must've lifted it over there head and placed it there. Then they say this isn't a "normal" delivery. If the landlord "paid us" we would do it. Are you serious right now ?? Sounds like bribery. Mind you I was at work the day as my wife kept me updated on the situation. Instead they delivered the new washer and left the old without making any attempt to remove the old one. Once I arrived home after a long day at work I attempted this myself. No problem. A little muscle and the job was done in 10 minutes. This was horrible service with a bribery attempt. These so called delivery men should be embarrassed. I ordered something from this location and when I went a few days later to pick it up they were out of stock and didnt have my item. The manager was very apologetic and helpful. Upon delivery they dropped off the fridge, scratched my entire wall and the response was "it's a big fridge" I was told the day of my delivery that one of the products wasn't coming until a later date. My house was just freshly painted and the workers thought it was okay to just lean things up against the walls as they please. PC Richards has been an absolute nightmare to work with. I have never been so aggravated in my life and while they may have better pricing, in hindsight I'd probably rather pay a little more than to have to deal with them ever again. My salesperson was extremely rude and difficult to work with and every time you need to make any changes or have any questions you're only allowed to deal with that specific salesperson which is aggravating in itself. We needed all new appliances for a renovation and he basically just ordered everything HE wanted to order, emphasizing his commission, and not even showing us the pieces in person and pulling them from the website. I literally had to say to him, "we're in the store, can you actually show us what you're adding I want to see it in person." It was more about him ordering it, than what we actually wanted. I needed to change some items on my order and had to call several times from him not being available or not at the store (and they wouldn't allow me to do it through a different salesperson) -- never receiving a call back after they told me he was with another customer and would call me after. I also had a smaller piece being delivered after our initial appliances were delivered and they wouldn't allow me to pick it up, or have the drivers leave it at the door upon my request. I needed the piece asap so that our contractors could install it, and would not be here yet they refused to work with us to either pick it up or leave at the door. I would not recommend working with them to anyone and wish I would've just gone to Best Buy. read more

I have been to many PC Richards, and normally am completely annoyed with the sales people as they can sometimes be like leaches; however, I am very happy with this PC Richard and the staff who worked with me. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM P.C.Richards & son in Bellmore!!!! They sold us an $1800 stove that lasted three weeks. They subcontracted the repair work to COMPLETE APPLIANCE AND AC REPAIR -- a terrible company that came to repair the stove on 8/13 and said they would order parts that would arrive in 3-5 business. On the seventh day I called and they said the parts take 7-10 business days to arrive. Why tell us 3-5 business days, then? That was August 20th. WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM ONCE SINCE. We now have been without a stove for 4+ weeks and counting. We called P.C. Richards & Son in Bellmore; a manager -- Kenny -- said he would sort this out and either have our stove "immediately repaired or replaced." He said he would call the next day. That was 10 days ago; still no call. I went into the store today and manager Steve King called the "service supervisors," whom, he said, would call me today. I got a one-ring call from service and was not able to pick it up in time. The service manager then left a message on my wife's phone saying there was nothing she could do because the company who does their service is closed on the weekend. I called manager Steve King (who actually has been helpful) and confirmed that their store has our model in stock and could install a new stove tomorrow. I have to wait on that call from the service manager, though. This store (and by extension, P.C. Richards & Son) has shoddy inventory, terrible customer service, and terrible repair service. They avoid addressing and resolving issues and have been less-than-helpful.
