If you're like me, and you like a VERY firm and VERY deep massage, elbows in the neck, etc., this is the place for you. I just left with an hour deep tissue massage from Jenny and it was wonderful, the best massage overall but by far the best neck massage I've ever had. Love this place, always have, and can't wait to come back again.

Most people do not understand how weekly massages helps keep you healthy and can promote faster healing for aging and injuries, when combined other contributors. I was told I could not get better, but only worse and the degeneration would eventually require surgery. This month I am being discharged from physical therapy at Mayo Clinic. At one point I had to spend several months using a cane, walking sticks and at times, even a wheelchair. If you do the research, you will see how science supports what happened to me: Mayo Clinic describes neuromuscular massage as: "Specialized manipulation of muscles, tissues and joints that increases circulation, rids the body of harmful toxins, boosts the immune system, soothes aching muscles, reduce pain, and decreases stress and swelling." For over 30 yrs. Joanne has dedicated her life and a career with a love of massage and healing. She is the first therapist I have had that I totally have faith in and I have have around a dozen therapists for long term treatments. If you are looking for deep, painful treatments, go someplace else. Her style combines a firm touch with therapeutic maneuvers I do not fully understand, but I reap the benefits of less pain and more freedom that gets progressively better all the time. My wife and I are both disabled veterans and she made sure she tailored the class within our comfort zone. She helped us understand what we can do to help each other cope and ease some of the pain we have from our years of military service. She was always mindful of our aches, pains, and limitations as she helped us modify to within our comfort zone. Having someone come into our home and interacting with us is especially hard with our mental health issues i.e. PTSD/anxiety, etc but she was very caring and made the experience as relaxing as she could. I referred the friend to the Parkhursts, because it was hard to see her in so much pain. They were very kind and gracious to her. It turned out to be a very fortuitous idea, because it worked out well for the friend. I would later refer my husband to them. Dr. Amberly Parkhurst personally called me to check up on my husband after his first appointment...to see if the adjustment helped his back pain. That act of kindness meant a lot to me. I, also, have received superb massage therapy from their stellar staff member, Andrea. Setting up an appointment has always been very quick. My adjustments were always done very efficiently and with attention to detail. We have referred them to friends for about eight years. I went to their new place of business this year recently. Their new office building was easy to find and well furnished. Their waiting room and lobby were spacious, minimal, comfortable, and provided coffee and water for clients. I liked the quiet , welcoming, and peaceful ambience. On that visit, I found out that my rib was dislocated and the reason why I was experiencing a lot of mysterious pain.
