They don't seem to be knowledgeable of the new COVID-19 protocols. I was asked to have my temp checked prior to the service. When I first arrived, my temp was 37.1, mind you, I live in the neighbourhood so I drove without the AC on. The lady denied me service and just said "nope, we can't do it" because of my 37.1 temperature. She said you need to be under 37 degrees to have a service. I mentioned that 37 is the regular temperature for a person, and I have had no issues going to my dental and massage appointments these past couple of weeks with that temperature. She repeated saying they couldn't take me because I wasn't "under 37 degrees". However, a nail technician walked in and she wasn't checked for her temperature. I asked if they can give me a few minutes to sit indoors to help with that 0.1 degree, which she allowed and eventually said I'm okay to get my nails done. Just an FYI, any COVID protocol website will tell you, 38 degrees is the fever temp...37 is the REGULAR body temperature.
The nail tech that walked in without having her temp checked ended up being my tech to do my nails. She was quick and efficient. I'm happy with how my nails turned out. The reasons why I'm giving this place 2/5 stars is because of the whole COVID-19 protocols they are following (especially not checking their own temps), cleanliness (apparently using an old rag to wipe down the nail colour samples is protocol), and the completion of my manicure: 1. instead of wiping down my hands herself with the warm towel, she passed it to me and said "wipe your hands" then walked away and 2. no cuticle oils were applied at the end, and no hand massage was given.
I live in the East end and only stay in Brampton here and there with my boyfriend. So, I'll probably just end up going to my usual nail salons in the East end rather than coming back here or trying to find another place in Brampton. read more
