My wife started talking about this place months before we actually got to Womelsdorf! It lived up to all the hype she gave it too! Nice mix of cheese and sauce with rich tasting pepperoni with a delicious soft crust! The pizza cheese steak was mouth watering from the first bite! Only waited about 10 minutes for our order and both people working were super friendly! It's a casual and comfortable place if you're looking for a good local pizza place to try! Medium pepperoni and pizza cheesesteak sandwich was $28.65 read more

My husband,& I didn't care for this place. Food isn't the greatest, prices are ridiculous,& don't get much food.

A nicer staff you couldn't find- servers & men shoving pizzas in oven went out of their way to be personable & check on each customer despite being busy. Dine-in experience on tavern side was cozy like eating at a good friend's house (but one who has a basement bar). The food was decent- not necessarily the rave in other reviews but I suspect some town loyalty kicks in & that's just fine. I'm hoping a few more experiences will help get me there. I appreciated the homemade feel of the food. Sandwiches used homemade rolls (delish). Ordered small Grilled Ham & Cheese & Cheesesteak. Great if paired w/ some pizza, small if it's all you're ordering. Sicilian pizza had nice crust- extra cheese, pepperoni, mushroom. Did I get the extra cheese, not sure, seemed standard amount & big pet peeve of mine. Overall good, but a little bland (which is characteristic of the taste of the area). Would've appreciated a spring of fresh basil on there or some spice in the sauce. Check was a little high & I didn't appreciate credit card surcharge on top of higher priced pizza, but do understand the struggle of a tiny business in a small town. Looking forward to a 2nd go & hopefully joining the locals in singing praises for this place. read more

I stopped in approximately 2 weeks ago for lunch. It was after 1 pm and there were no customers inside. Nor did anyone come in to dine or pick up take out during the entire time I was here. I ordered a large cheese steak lunch special. The fries were fine. The soda cup was full of ice and approximately just 2/3 full of soda. They still do not offer free refills on soda here. The cheesesteak meat was so finely chopped, that it had a off texture and taste. Something I would expect in a nursing home? I also asked for some pickle slices to put on my cheesesteak. They told me that would be .75 cents extra. I declined. I thought it was strange that the two employees behind the counter were watching me eat as if they were waiting for me to say how terrible this cheesesteak was? I didn't say a word and will probably not be back. I really didn't want to give any establishment a bad review, especially during COVID, but if I " fudged" it, I would be letting my fellow Yelpers down?? read more

Awesome food and service! For today's takeout we got a meat lovers pizza, broccoli bites, 2 subs, and a Stromboli. All were fantastic. My family and I are so glad we live close to this business so we can continue to support it. read more

Tried the pepperoni and sausage pizza. It was average in taste and ingredient quality. The staff was super friendly. To be fair, there is no better pizza in the area; I'm from New York and pizza elsewhere is not the same thing, so I changed the rating from 3 stars to 4 because this is what passes for 4-star food in this area. read more

Meatball sub was delicious. Was in pieces in a pocket type bread that was fresh! Easy to eat.

I have been going here since I was 14 and I'm now 37! Very friendly family oriented and it's always nice to hear a familiar voice at the end of the phone when calling in orders read more

Best zeppoli I have ever tried their pizzas and burgers are also so delicious and so flavorful

I am so glad to live near this place. The food is fantastic. The pizza is one of the best in the area. I highly recommend P&J's.

These guys are freaking awesome! Great atmosphere. They remember you and make a habit of treating you like family. The food is the real highlight. I recommend the cheese steaks. They make their own hoagie rolls fresh everyday. They even make dessert out of the dough. A fresh batch of hand rolled donut holes deep fried and then tossed into a brown paper bag with ample amounts of sugar and cinnamon. They melt in your mouth! A plain cheese pizza is so delicious that I can find no match in any other pizzerias in the area. The other pizzerias bake theirs to death and dry it out. P J's pulls the pizza out of the oven evenly browned but never burnt or dried out. Sounds like I'm in love eh? Lol, I guess I am. P and J's for life! read more

The new dining area and bar are beautiful. Nice cold beer, excellent food & good service.

Great food, Great service. The dining area looks great. Definitely recommend trying the dining area, besides the food is outstanding.

The food is awesome! Never had an item I didn't like! I do wish you had delivery. I would purchase here more often. I buy from another shop because they have delivery. After working long hours everyday, I don't feel like cooking nor do I feel like running out to pick up food. Hopefully you will decide on having delivery some day!!! read more

Fast friendly service. Great pizza and sandwiches. Looking forward to the new dining room.

I've been a frequent customer since I was 4 and the owners know me by name haha This place has been under the ownership of a true Italian family (actually they're from an island country right off of Italy, but close enough). so they know how to make amazing food. I've been getting their pizza for years and what I love is how delicious it is while hot, cold, or microwaved! Their toppings are great and always fresh. Their wings are awesome and I personally favor the 'wing dings' even though they're just fried wings. They're so juicy! Subs and sandwiches are fantastic, and the bread is what makes them soo tasty. I even had one of their cheeseburgers, and even that was really good compared to many other burgers I've had! Lastly, their salads are great, my mother always raves about them and only orders salads from them because their ingredients are so fresh. Bottom line, support P&J. They are a little more pricey than pizza hut down the street, but they completely blow pizza hut out of the water when it comes to friendliness, service, quality, taste, and overall experience. read more

We always order pizza and food from here.Best pizza and food around. We have tried all the others locally and P&J seems to have the best.A bit pricey but locally all the others are priced about the same.Customer service is always great. read more

Best Pizza I ever tried in PA! I am vegetarian and I ordered Pizza with Ranch Souse, fried onions, olives, mushrooms and sliced round tomatoes. I also like that they put Generous amount of toppings. Very disappointed with the quality of food. I've eaten here three times and have only tried the subs- each one worse than the last. Canned chicken is unacceptable. Nice guys and perhaps the pizza is good but I will not go back. read more

My family LOVES P&J! We never had anything we don't like. Salad, pizza, hot and cold subs, wings, everything! Staff is very friendly and we never encountered a long wait. Perfect easy and yummy lunch or dinner. read more

If you ever find yourself in Womelsdorf, PA, you MUST try P&J's. They make, hands down, the BEST italian sandwich ever in the history of the world. The bread is perfect, the ingredients are fresh....the price is soooo cheap (about $4 for a large sub/hoagie/whatever). They have pizza and all the normal pizza shop food...cheese fries, chicken wings, etc... The town is something to see...very historic (P&J's is right across the street from Stouch Tavern...previously reviewed). Just a short drive out of town and you'll find yourself on windy, tree-lined back roads with old bridges and houses from the 1700's. I am SO hungry for a sandwich right now! Weee! read more

This place is tasty - my grandparents live in Womelsdorf so every time we visit, we have to order from P&J's. You know it's authentic when you see 4 Italian guys working in the very clean, very tidy kitchen with giant ovens. Their pizza dough is perfect, not too thin, not too thick, cooked the right amount of time. The toppings are fresh and they load them on the pies. The Italian sandwich is really to die for - the bread is so soft and delicious, I could eat a loaf all by itself. The ingredients are really flavorful, with meats and cheeses and lettuce and tomatoes piled high, but not too high. It's not messy, which is always my problem with those types of sandwiches. I will definitely be back! read more

They were awesome! Got plenty of shells sauce cheese and all perfectly done and very fresh. It will be tough now weighing out what I will get next time!' Keep up the great work!!! read more

We love the attention we receive as we come in the door. They call out my name saying Hello Mr. Fisher They ask how the family is and they are not afraid to talk to you about their family as well. The food is great and on time. read more

This is my favorite place to get an Italian sub. Have been coming here since I was 10 and even though I live across the country now, it is always on the list of things I must eat when I come back to the area. The food is so amazing that I still have their phone number memorized so that I can order takeout from my rental car. The bread on all the sandwiches is the best you will find. Believe me, I have tried. Nothing anywhere else in the country comes close. Italian with mayo is my regular, but everything I have had is good. Pizza also rocks, very fresh ingredients. They do both Sicilian and classic styles. I'm drooling just thinking about it. Buy local. Buy P&J. read more

Amazing homemade dough and red sauce. Awesome service! Prices are very good and the size of meals are perfect.

We decided to stop here for dinner after moving to the area. I have to say the pizza is one of the best I have ever had. The prices were very good for the amount of food we received. The best part of the experience was the service. Even though we had never been here when we walked in they welcomed us as though we came in every night. We will be back many times for sure. read more

I ordered from P&J's several times now. Mostly it was great. But, today i'm disappointed in my order. You know when you have a food choice in mind that you are craving .... BUT, they did not have my toppings correct. I know this may sound trivial but, on a pizza getting the toppings correct is very important.... I ordered mushrooms, onions, and GREEN peppers combo. I got RED peppers instead. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FLAVOR.... I was so looking forward to my pizza..... VERY DISAPPOINTED........ read more

Very good food, got plain cheese pizza, and you can taste quality ingredients. Reasonable prices. Ordered wings also, very good, BUT ordered mild, and their mild sauce is hot. I mean burn your mouth hot. I like hot stuff, so don't care , but be warned if you don't like it hot! read more

P&J's is a very customer friendly place. From my expirience they have never been to busy to hold a conversation with you.
