Heard about Ozark diner from a friend who stayed in their Bed & Breakfast. I have been planning to visit this place, use Waze so that you won't get lost. The place is small but their seating was well thought of.
We were immediately greeted by one of the owner and seated comfortably in a booth. There were many items in their menu that we wanted to try but settled on the following : Hickory Smoked Chicken with a side of coleslaw and biscuits, Smothered Pork Chop with a side of mashed potatoes and biscuits, BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries.
Hickory Smoked Chicken - this tasted good but not really great and the breast part was quite dry.
Smothered Fried Pork Chop - I really enjoyed the peppery breading and creamy gravy. The pork chop was a bit thin but I later found out that this type of meal where it originated from were really served thinly sliced.
I ordered a side of Mashed Potatoes with it, which was delicious too but was just to much for me because I stole some of my hubby's Coleslaw because I felt it matched better with my food. Eventually we exchanged.
The BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich was a hit for my son, it was like he just inhaled it. It was that good.
Serving size for all our orders were just right.
We were quite tired from our trip since we just arrived in Baguio when we ate here and my hubby wasn't really convinced that their desserts were good. So we didn't get to try some and opted to go check in our hotel to get some much needed zzz's.
We will definitely go back on a Friday since they have some menu offerings that are only available on weekends which we want to get to try too. And hopefully then, I will be able to try their desserts.
