Located in the Slaughterhouse compound in Baguio City, Philippines .
Place is small but has 2 floors for customers. Staff very friendly and helpful.
They serve local Cordillera cuisine. Not for the faint hearted but for the adventurous spirit.
Arrive early so there's parking. If you go around noon, good luck finding a space. Otherwise, take a cab or jeepney.
Ordered both beef and goat kilawen (rare to medium rare cuts of meat marinated in vinegar and spices), grilled pork belly, and dinakdakan ( local cuisine with pork marinated in spices with a bit of cooked pig brains and a little mayo). All orders came with unlimited beef broth, and large cups or rice.
All the food we ordered reminded us of what we had as kids. The adults daring us to try them due to the ingredients and preparation. The food was really good, with really delicious flavors...
The beef broth was delicious but needed a little salt, the kilawen we ordered were all good but better with a little soy sauce, calamansi (Philippine lime), and very spicy sibling labuyo (chili peppers). The dinakdakan very flavorful. And grilled pork belly in cooked blood dipping sauce.
No complaints here as I enjoyed it so much.
Prices were very reasonable. Like I said, recommended for adventurous eaters and not for the faint of heart.
