Came in with family to try what we were told is the best pizza in Baguio. We were seated quickly and our orders taken. We ordered the pasta carbonara, spaghetti and meat balls, lasagna, jerk and honey spicy wings, a 5 cheese pizza, combo pizza and a pepperoni and jalapeño pizza. The food began to be served as it was finished in the kitchen and we immediately said our grace and dug in. I'm a picky eater and eating American style food in the Philippines is always a sketchy proposition. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The carbonara was good but I did prefer the spaghetti and meatballs. However, I couldn't wait to taste the pizza. When the first pizza arrived - the 5 cheese was delicious. While I don't usually like a thick crust the cheeses on this pizza were divine and could get me to eat a few slices but I didn't. I was holding out for the pepperoni and jalapeño. My wait wasn't long and definitely worth it. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed it. It was great! It's making me rethink my position on American style cuisine being prepared abroad. Thanks for the experience Grumpy Joe, especially our server Mark. Great job guys.

It's supposed to be open 24 hrs but when we come here they don't want to serve us most of the menu they say they're out of this but when we come back in 2 hours the next shift isn't out of anything this has happened many times and it's quite frustrating not to mention many times they're closed except the doors aren't locked the lights are not off and the sign is on what the heck is going on here. We're driving all the way from Itogon about 9 kilometers only to get disappointed. Tonight the only thing you can order is classic burger and guess what fries is not available ! How can you eat burgers without fries? I think they just don't want to work ! WTF! We almost don't want to come back if they will treat us like this. It was no like this before ! The management should check! If you can't serve atleast 80% of your menu .... just do t open! Sent from my iPhone

I always passed by this place from a distance so I never saw what was inside. In my head, this was like a random Philippine Navy or Army recruiting station located in a busy restaurant area of Camp John Hay. On this most recent trip to Baguio I finally walked close by ArmyNavy. I was totally wrong! It turns out that ArmyNavy is actually a fast food restaurant that serves up delicious food. Haha! The menu is quite long! They serve up burgers, mexican-style dishes, chicken and filipino breakfast. On my first visit I ordered their pinoy breakfast burrito. The burrito had spanish rice, fried egg and chicken adobo flakes. This burrito was so rich but soooooo good! Try it with a side of sour cream. On another visit I tried their fried chicken. The leg and thigh pieces were really juicy and the skin crisp. I was really surprised at how delicious the chicken was. Unfortunately the white gravy paired with the chicken was a bit too peppery. Another miss was the stuffed chocolate croissant with the vanilla ice cream. It looked great in the picture but it fell apart quickly and the croissant was kind of stale. Overall, solid fast food restaurant chain in the Philippines. Personally, I thought this place was much better than the uber-popular Jolibee chain. Check them out!

This is now our second time coming here. We were here a couple weeks ago and then today and…read moreessentially had the same experience. Both dining experiences were essentially the same so it does not appear to be an anomaly. A couple weeks ago when we came, we sat in the large outdoor area. We sat down at the table and we were seated at least 10 minutes and server after server walked past, carrying water pitchers, walking here and there and not one offered water. I finally stopped someone to ask for water. The next thing was waiting for someone to take our order. Again, we appeared to be invisible. There were 3-4 servers just standing 15 feet away from us at what looked to be a gathering spot for the servers. They were looking around but really doing nothing. I asked my wife if she could see me, as apparently no one else could. I finally raised my hand to get someone's attention and a young lady walked over and I asked her if there was a server for our table and she said yes, it was her! She took our order and after a period of time the food came. She sat the food down and walked away and returned to her "post" and was again looking around. I raised my hand again and she came over and I asked if we get forks and spoons with our food. She went back to her post and returned back with silverware. The rest of the meal I watched and it was clear some if the servers had no idea how to service a table. No other refill of water. It was just a very odd experience. And this evening we decided to sit inside where there was a band performing. Tables were full and eventually a table opened up. It was a larger table and we were only two and the gentleman said he would seat us there but if a larger group came or another table opened up he would move us, which was fine. He partially cleaned the table and then left. Another 5-10 minutes went by and he came back by and asked if we ordered and we said no one had come to take the order. There are not so many tables in that room and there were, I believe 4 servers+. He took our order and cleaned off the rest of the table. I watched other diners trying to flag down a server to take there order, one table that had asked twice for someone to take their order. He was just shaking his head. Before iur food came we saw a table open up and we moved as it was closer to the band. There were dirty plates and glasses, and bottles on the table. Suddenly our food came and I told the guy bringing the food we had moved to just bring it to the new table. He sat it down and walked away. We tried to flag somebody down to clean the table and again seemed to be invisible. I asked the hostess to send someone and finally after about 5 minutes a young lady came to remove the items, not realizing part of the items on the table we were eating. The food in the restaurant is good, but honestly the service is horrendous. It is as if no one understands at all what the job is. As if someone put a uniform on them and didn't tell them anything about the job. We are staying in the hotel for two nights but we will not be dining here again. For the loftiness of this venue, I am truly shocked. And I am not alone...saw other diners having the same experience. I truly hope someone cares enough to look into this. If the hotel guests were not a captive audience, as a stand-alone restaurant, I don't think they would stay in business.

When I saw that Baguio had a brewery, I made sure that it was on my itinerary. Make sure that you go to the top floor, 2 flights of stairs. The restrooms are on the second floor. They have quite the beer selection, from IPAs, ales, fruit beers (think sours) to stouts. Their grub is pretty local. I, of course, went way off and ordered the half serving of the fish and chips. Don't expect cod. It's a local fish in a really light batter. I think it was reasonable. My half serving was more than enough to supplement my 2 pints. The vinegar dip was very good. Just a PSA, there is nothing for the vegetarians or vegans, except the usual fries. As for the beers, I started with the raspberry stout, which was very smooth with slight raspberry overtones. Very nice. I tasted the porter and thought it was good, but after the stout, it tasted a bit off. They were also on the lighter side, if you're used to the stuff in the US. BTW the stout is 9.75% ABV, the porter 6.46%. For the tropical environs, perhaps I should have had the pilsner, but these two hit the spot for me. 4 stars in comparison to US breweries, but heck how many breweries are there outside Manila? Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The staff were rude and unaccommodating regarding our pet. We were simply asking for assistance so we could dine comfortably, but instead, we were told to eat outside and were even suggested to go to other restaurants. This was unexpected and honestly quite disheartening. On top of that, the food itself did not meet our expectations. The steak was still bloody and not cooked to a proper medium rare--it was extremely chewy and difficult to eat. Additionally, the food was already cold when it was served, which made the overall experience even worse. Overall, what should have been an enjoyable first visit turned into a very unpleasant one due to both poor service and subpar food quality.
