I've heard that coming here at times there were long lines. When we came there was a small line and we were seated right away. There were 10 people in our group and they were able to accommodate us. The way it works is, you can either order "á la carte" or "family style." They serve large portions for every dish. Serving for six could be serving for eight (in my opinion). The food is good (it's ok). Nothing really special. However, I did love their butter chicken. It was sweet and savory , sticky and crispy. I can eat that alone with their fried rice. The price is not bad. I say it's good for a big group since you can share all the food you order. Oh by the way, they also have a bake shop / bakery. Review is for good taste the original. Good taste! Good (long) wait! When I leave reviews that are constructive, I try to give myself a day before I post it. I always want my reviews to be unbiased and lacking of emotions. Overall the food was pretty good in flavoring of lumpia, Canton, and other side dishes were appreciated. Broccoli beef was a bit too sweet for me, but was tender and cooked well. The lechon was really good and so was their roasted chicken. Chicken curry also was a table favorite. Overall, the portions were very hearty and generous however, it was not worth the 1.5 hours of wait between being seated, ordering drinks and receiving our food. If this was during the busiest time of the day, I would understand that the wait might be a bit long but an hour and a half seems way too absurd. The environment of the restaurant seemed to be no holds barred environment, where anything goes. There was no rhyme or reason to who ordered first or when food would be delivered. If you like the mad Max type environment this is a restaurant for you however, if you like asseblance in order, I would recommend another location. As I mentioned before, I try to wait a day before I give out constructive reviews. If I could, I would give this location to 2.5 stars but I always round up so I give them three. I would not choose this location again however, if I had a large group and wanted to please everyone's taste buds this could be a location worth considering. read more

Every time I come up to Baguio I always make sure to drop by this place. One of the best Lomi I have ever tried. Servings are large and food has a Good Taste( no pun intended). Service is quick, but note come early there is a line. Ambiance reminds me off a typical mess hall. read more

The food was okay. But the place can make use of a bit of extra trimmings. The place reminds me of a military mess hall...just the bare neccessities...nothing more, nothing less. The staff were courteous and responsive. The tables could have used a good wipedown from the last people that used it. It was so sticky, you'd have great trouble breaking away once you got stuck! Tried to go here last night but the line was gigantic. So I tried again today as I wanted to see what the fuss is all about. Lined up around 2pm and got in after 15min. Ordered by 2:20PM. The atmosphere is like back in my high-school days. Felt like I was in a kids cafeteria. The decor is as plain as can be and the aura dry. The menu could be better with little more class and description or even pictures. Plenty of choices though wish they had a chef's choice or best seller options. Got food at 3:30 pm. Took 1hr and 10min for our food. A waiter didn't even go to our table to update us or even give us more water. I saw from other tables that we weren't the only ones waiting for over an hour. Ordered: Fried Rice (Good 6) Sinigang Baboy (Big Good for 6) Halabos na Hipon Pinakbet Beef Broccoli Pancit Canton Shanghai Lumpia Food was not worth waiting over an hour for. Always love Good Taste when I am in Baguio simply because their food is good. The place came highly recommended by a local friend, and there are no surprises there. The place is always full. Many Baguio families choose to dine here instead of the neighboring fastfood outlets because the quality is great. There are plenty of choices, but mostly, they are what I call Chowking-style: Filipinized and fast Chinese food that vaguely tastes like the lauriat meals I can get from the mall, only their servings are humongous and there is so much more variety. I love that they are also open 24-hours, and that you can sit here and order your coffee. Their coffee is also really good. Siphon-style and drowned in creamy evap milk. Yum! Good Taste is not Good Enough. This restaurant is packed with people. We tried to eat at lunch time on our 1st day in Baguio, unfortunately, the waiting line is too long, so, we ended up eating someplace else. The next day, we were fortunate enough to go in without the hassle of waiting in the long line. It was already a late lunch at 2pm and we are really very hungry at that time. We were approached by a waitress and ordered Sweet and Sour Pork, Chopsuey Combo Meal, Beef Broccoli, Bird's Nest Soup, additional rice and Cucumber Lemonade. While waiting for our food, we added Halo Halo for our dessert. Our drink came first, then the dessert. We were surprised that the dessert was served already when the main course was not even there yet. We asked the waitress who served us earlier and she said that our dessert takes a shorter time to prepare than our other orders that's why it came first. After around 30 minutes of waiting, and our food has not arrived yet, we asked the same waitress to follow-up. And she replied that it takes 20-40 minutes of serving time then she left without even smiling. We saw that people who came after us are already eating and some were almost done with their food. We are already eating our dessert as we are already very hungry. After 45 minutes, and the food still has not arrived, we asked another waitress to follow-up on our order. She just nodded without smiling. Still nothing came. We are already very impatient. After almost an hour, we asked another waitress to follow-up our order, else, we will just pay for whatever is on our table and already talk to their manager. This last waitress, was the one who did follow-up our orders. After an hour of waiting, our food came. It was already cold. Not even warm. It must have been overlooked by the previous servers. We just ate since we were already very hungry. Though, big in servings for the price, we were not satisfied at all. This restaurant should improve on customer service. Their staff may be serving a lot of people, but they should know how to be more accommodating. I've read other reviews for this restaurant and some, had the same experiences as we had. If you're a little bit low on budget but want to eat a lot, then this is the place for you. Goodtaste is a really great restaurant because of it's low cost food, yeah it is low cost but the servings are very huge. Not to mention that they always have customers filling up every table up until the 6th floor of the building 24/7. This is a great restaurant especially with huge families because they can accommodate everybody. The only issue is the parking area too small and you have to be wait for your turn to park because it's always fill, but it is worth the wait. My favorite is the Fries rice and the famous Buttered Chicken very affordable and has many servings.
