This Endodontic organization is extremely well managed, from the receptionist, the dental assistants and the dentist (Dr. Sam Yun)..all made me feel comfortable and confident for my root canal. I am highly sensitive to Novocaine and it wasn't until I changed dentists that I found out that there were different types of Novocain that this office won't spend the extra $ to purchase. He pads the bill and gives BS reasons why the bill is padded. I got a quote for cleaning after paying $1,400 at my first visit for an exam and a mouthguard. $1,000 for a mouthguard and four months later (March 2, 2025), Dr. Shook said it was already comprised. I have been wearing mouthguards for 30 yeas and have never had one ever be compromised. $1000 for crap. I went in on March 2 for a cleaning only and was quoted $160. Dr. Shook popped in for five minutes and checked my teeth and mouthguard. When I went to check out, Peter (husband) said it was $268. I said wait, I came in for a cleaning only. He said Dr. Shook has to do an exam every time. I said I was just here four months ago and paid over $300 for my exam, I don't need a second one. He said that is how we do things here. I asked to speak to Dr. Shook personally and he said she didn't have time. Not, let me take your number and have her get back to you. Just plain no, you cannot speak with her. Snake.

I had a tooth ache last week so I had it checked out by my dentist. He referred me to an…read moreendodontist for a possible cracked tooth. Dr Singer, the endodontist, did not see a crack from a CT scan, but indicated that he wouldn't be sure until he drilled inside to examine the tooth with a microscope. If there was a crack then the tooth would need to be extracted. Two days later I had the procedure. He didn't find a crack ... thank goodness! Since that molar had a previous root canal, Singer removed the old filling, disinfected the canal and repacked it. This procedure is called a endodontic retreatment. He save the tooth! Dr. Singer was quick and efficient with the procedure. You can tell he runs a tight ship. The office staff and assistants were very friendly and helpful. The ladies often asked if I had any questions.

I brush and floss daily, and I go for regular dental check ups and cleanings, so I'm not used to having dental issues. One day, though, out of the blue, I woke up to strong pain in my mouth. I went to see my regular dentist, who looked at the xray and told me I needed a root canal from a specialist. I knew Dr. Ramin Noghreian through my wife, who was a member with Dr. Ramin in the same business organization. I didn't know much about him professionally, however, so I travelled to Torrance on faith. And I'm glad I did! I was really impressed when they put me in an dental CT scan machine that just scanned my mouth. I didn't know such a machine existed! It's a good thing they have it too, because my tooth had not one nerve root, not two, but THREE nerve roots that Dr. Ramin had to artfully excise and then fill. Dr. Ramin made sure the experience was pain-free for me, and it went quite smoothly. The temporary filling Dr. Ramin put in place was so good that, when I went back to my regular dentist to get a crown put one, it took her almost 15 minutes to get it off! This is a state-of-the art practice that's also a family practice. Dr. Ramin's sister, Nooshin, is also an endodontist there, and his wife, Naze, is the office manager. You feel very welcomed when you go there. One never knows what the endodontist will find when he or she goes in to your tooth to do a root canal. (In my case, it was a 3-nerve "mess"!) So you want the best surgeon with the best equipment. I can tell you from personal experience, that's what you'll get at South Bay Endodontics!

What makes such a difference for my wife and me is that Dr. Arroyo explains your options and isn't trying to "upsell" in any way.
