I give them $5- $6 in coins and dollars in pesos. You can pay with American dollars but your change will be in pesos and the rates will be the worst rates, lol. I can use my cards or American dollars so I always have $100 or $150 in pesos. Anyways, they sell noodles, hot dogs, pizza slices, fruits, and sandwiches if you want something more substantial. I guess "stumbled" is not exactly accurate because the store is enormous. It is like a hypermart in the US. It has everything from foods to kids' toys to refrigerators. It has everything that has even been made. Best of all, it is AC! The store was clean and well-kept. I don't have any context for price comparisons but things seemed to be reasonably priced.

Expect that items will be FAR less than the 7/11 on 5th! They've got you well covered for all of your drink (I don't think they sell alcolhol), snack, candy and sundry needs.
